A friend of mine was like “she’s copying Lady Gaga’s style with the shoulder pads”. I had to check the b**** and let her know the shoulder pads are one of Janet’s TRADEMARKS, and Miss Jackson be rocking them from all the way back in the 80’s. And certainly in ways Sir Gag never could.
Still, I’m not too crazy about the cover. Janet looks great as always, although I don’t like her facial expression. And there’s something “cheap looking” about the cover, I just can’t put my finger on it yet.
I think after her brother’s death she became more active to work on her career!!

I love Janet, but let’s be honest Janet is not a singer. She is an entertainer. She doesn’t sing ballads because, she’s not a singer. There’s nothing wrong with that. Janet stays in her lane. She has never professed to be a great singer. If it wasn’t for her looks, s** appeal, MICHAEL JACKSON, and copying his dnace moves, she would be just janet jackson. I’d put her in the same category as Cher, a pop icon because of her performance and dance tunes. There’s nothing wrong with that. At this point , I’d rather see Janet the actress anyday, than here a Janet song.

MJFAN, most of janet’s success has come from her NOT involving herself with Michael’s career. It was Michael who persistently asked Janet to do a duet when she refused until 1995. She busted her ass to be a success on her own merit and Michael was not writing her songs, producing her albums, choreographing her videos and directing her stage shows so please hush that noise and stop minimizing her capabilities. Michael never did that, so there’s no reason for you to.
