Chris Brown On Tiger Woods: “I Support Him”

Published: Thursday 25th Feb 2010 by Trent

Chris Brown has endured heavy media criticism over the last year after facing allegations of domestic abuse against his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. Now the controversial singer has offered his views on the problems being faced by Tiger Woods who recently was accused of cheating on his wife with multiple women. Check out what Brown had to say during an interview on radio show ‘Mojo in the Morning’ below:

“Nobody has the right to place judgment or make any judgment on somebody else’s personal life when they’re not directly involved with them. Whatever his personal life is and I think this goes for me and him – his personal life is his personal life.”“They might be a fan, or might support what they’re doing but like if he plays golf, that’s his sport, that’s his hobby, that’s his love, that’s what people love him for,” he continued. “They don’t love him for the other stuff that they’re talking about.”

“I think, even with me, like I do music, I sing songs, I’m an entertainer, I’m a performer, but people make mistakes. So my hat is off to him – I support him, I hope he gets back on the field and does his thing, because he is the best at it.” {Source}

Meh, Tiger. He’s doing/done what every other athlete does. Only reason he is getting so much s*** is because is wife is a white woman. Let Boomshicka walk the carpets with Tiger, nobody would mind it.

  2. Blasian February 25, 2010

Oh Chris Brown SHUT THE HELL UP! Tiger slept with 15 diff women he put his wife life in danger with S**’S H**/ADIS. Chris Brown beat the hell out of a woman which he should be in jail now he wanna make nasty Mix Tapes talking about how he’s a changed man BS

Tiger is sorry becuz he got caught now he wanna cry on T.V plzzzz

He wasn’t crying when he was F’ing them chicks telling them he love them he hasn’t never loved a woman like this before Tiger is a DOG and so is Chris Brown so ofcourse he would lay on Tiger side they’re both dogs all dogs belong on the FLOOR!

Tiger knew every damn thing is was doing and he kept doing so no I don’t feel sorry for no one that cheats because you have the right to say no you are in control of your own Destiny.

It only takes one time to get something you can’t get rid of ONCE!

Just like Chris Brown he hit Rihanna becuz she caught his a** in a lie and he was cheating .

I don’t see how women support these LOSERS!

Tiger Woods and go to hell he’s nasty a dog .

  3. Jessica February 25, 2010

Of course Chris Brown supports Tiger. Chris Brown is a terrible boyfriend and Tiger is a terrible husband. Who’s surprised by this?

  4. That Cranberry Juice February 25, 2010

  7. miss A February 25, 2010

wtf ya’ll dont dont understand the moral of the story, i mean of the comment he made about him and himself, its about MIND YOU R OWN BIZNIZ, IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT WENT DOWN, we all know we dont know everything what went down between himen rihanna, and ya’ll comment here so negative makes me clear that you hated cb before this ri and cb thing, the difference now is that ya ll found yourself a motive to tear him down.. that s cool its your life but he still has a payroll with 6 zero s behind it, so keep hating

  8. That Cranberry Juice February 25, 2010

Actually…are you the same Blasian that was blowing up the Beyonce post over at Prophet?!

  9. hopeful February 25, 2010

I completely agree with CB, Tigers personal life is just that, his personal life between him and his family, I could care less what he does off of the golf course. He doesn’t owe me a damn thing, just like CB didn’t owe me a damn thing. This Tiger crap should never have been headline news and his apology definitely should not have dominated the air waves. If anything it should have been left to the sports channels.

  10. DizzyGuy1985 February 25, 2010

I love me some Chris Brown. But shut up Chris. You cheated on Ri Ri and than on top of that you need to be quiet for a bit longer.

I bet Tiger is thinking “Damn…i feel better now…Chris Brown told me he supports me…”…lol.

  11. Aunt Jackie February 25, 2010

Wow…Chris lost major maximum cool points. He needs to keep his mouth closed. What Tiger Woods did was not a mistake. It was disgusting, premeditated and heinous.

Damn near lost me as a fan Chris Brown…that was WACK!

  12. Jermaine February 25, 2010

    CHRIS SHUT THE FU*K UP!

  13. Jaki February 25, 2010

@dizzyguy1985~ and you know he cheated because…. you were there? A text message is what it said spark the incident… now I get text messages from other males as well as my boyfriend and it doesn’t mean that I am cheating. Chris Brown made a lot of sense in what he said, first of all he didn’t abuse any of us and Tiger surely didn’t sleep with anyone of us… the only people they owe anything to is Rihanna and for Tiger his wife. I wonder if any of you that feel that when you cheat or made any mistakes that you ask for frogiveness from your family, friends, co-workers etc… personal is personal… nobody tells society to keep putting these celebrities out there as role models and when they do something human, everyone wants their heads… As for being a loser… well if Tiger quit today he has enough money for this lifetime and the next… Chris Brown made not have as much money as Tiger but acording to Forbes he’s worth today $35-45 Million not back for a 20 year old and not back a 20 year old that know matter how much you hate his career is not over… International tour May 18- June 27, Headliner’s Sunday’s concert in Tucson, AZ no small venue this time, just return from Hawaii or h3ll you follow him so you know he’s back…

  14. Jaki February 25, 2010

a few typo’s using blackberry but, you get the message!

  15. MushyLove_1992 February 25, 2010

    Thats my Chris!

  16. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut February 25, 2010

Trash supports trash. A woman beater supporting a woman cheater, WHO WOULDA THOUGHT!!!!????

  17. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut February 25, 2010

@Jaki, please show me where Forbes says Chris Brown is worth $35-45 Million. I don’t believe that ish for a second…

  18. ‘Ello February 25, 2010

Chris needs to sit down and think. He should take time off music to go to rehab and get his life back on track. Then he can go to interviews and make music.

  19. February 25, 2010

i love how people are like IT’S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS and they’re on a damn gossip blog
sweethearts, if none of this was your business, why are you here?

  20. Me February 25, 2010

I for one, give Chris props for having the courage to stand up and say that another black man (no matter what he calls himself), deserves a 2nd chance in life. Everyone else, regular media, black talk show hosts seen be MILLIONS) , so-called black blogs, and the bandwagon black folks don’t seem to have a problem giving Charlie Sheen, Sean Penn (who just CAUGHT ANOTHER CASE last week), etc multiple chances, yet condemn their own.

I didn’t watch the Tiger apology b/c I’M NOT HIS WIFE. Why should he apologize to the world when he didn’t exchange vows with the world. As for Chris, he’s a kid who f’ed up with not controlling his reactions, took his punishment like a MAN and who is learning and growing from it.

But, I tell you..he sounds WAY more mature than a lot of these other people dwelling on things that don’t involve them.

  21. trucie February 25, 2010

Why does Chris have an opinion anyway? Is he seriously trying to say that we should forget these monster size “mistakes” as he calls it? You nearly beat your girlfriend to death and Tiger slept with a every crusty w**** under the sun, not giving a flying fig about his wife, marriage, or child. Now you think that we should forgive u both on the count that they didn’t know what they were doing at the moment. Right, now lets do some math. Chris, after throwing the first blow, and the second, and the third, after how many blows should think it be a good idea to stop and look at the damage u r doing to ones face and your career? And on Tiger’s case, after how many sexual encounters with disgustingly diseased women who are not your wife, should you think what you’re doing is wrong on so many levels? uggggh….Chris, with every spoken word, you kill what’s left of your pathetic career a little more. Keep talking and see where your stupid ass ends up next year. Maybe you and Tiger could both shack up to beat and freak each other.

  22. hopeful February 25, 2010

@… I come to a blogs in find updated info on celebs in regards to their music, tours, , fashion, interviews etc. and to exchange opinions on such, that is all, not that it should be of any of your concern. just saying.

  23. Me February 25, 2010

@ TRUCIE and other delusional, hateful people

He didn’t almost beat her to death. I dont know why you people keep exaggerating things.Even if he had, she forgave him for it. He didn’t do ish to you. If you want to get mad at violence, why aren’t you protesting Tiger’s wife? If you want to hold a grudge over something not DONE TO YOU, then you have no business listening to the radio or watching TV or movies or being around OTHER PEOPLE PERIOD…b/c there are no perfect people. And if you think YOU are perfect…there’s YOUR flaw.

  24. sugar February 25, 2010

Tiger does not consider himself as a black person .,,,,,,,,,,, wtf is that?

  25. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut February 25, 2010

What some of you don’t realize is that a celebrities’ personal life is just as relevant as what they do (music, fashion, movies, etc.) It goes with the territory and it all comes together, that’s what happens when you trade in a normal life for a life of fame and fortune. F*** that “it’s none of our business” b*******, famous people can’t have their cake AND eat it too; if they’re famous, it’s for everything – which ESPECIALLY includes their personal life.

Morally and technically it isn’t our business, but realistically that’s just not the case. Nor should it be!

  26. B. Mike February 25, 2010

Boy this is shocking news (eye roll)

  27. Aunt Jackie February 25, 2010

@ Putthelimeinthecocunut I agree with your comment above. But only to a certain degree.

I think we make these people so much more important than they should be. For gosh sake, Chris Brown is a singer and Tiger Woods plays a sport. I’m going to go on that Gossip Blog that’s all in a Nobel Peace Prize winner’s personal business or a Nobel Laureate Literature winner’s business. You see the double standard?

There personal life does matter, but there is sort of an unspoken problem with exhaling AVERAGE people with specialized talents to entertain and then getting mad when they don’t live up to our expectations. Remember, they aren’t all that special…..they suck just like you, I or our creepy neighbor down the street.

  28. florida_girl February 25, 2010

Why wasn’t the entire interview posted…that’s the problem right there they are twisting and cutting what he said but you need to hear the entire interview the guy asked Chris how he felt…there was nothing wrong with saying ppl deserve a second chance what is becoming of the world where we want to play God…ppl act like just because you didn’t the same exact thing make you better than the next person…we all have felt short

He almost beat her to death but she sat on the damn keys and refuse to get out the car numerous times per her own statement to the police…ppl see and read what they want to… and she still went back to him until she had to make a choice either your career or chris…we all know which one she picked…

Elin was a nanny that was around not only Tiger but other famous golfers because of her job..don’t think one time she didn’t know what she was getting into…most of those guys have already cheated and still cheating on their wives but haven’t got caught and some of them know but don’t want to leave their lifestyle…is it right hell no but she hasn’t divorced his ass yet so now what…

There is nothing wrong with wishing ppl the best and learning from your mistake and become a better person…I thank God he is a God of a second chance and he doesn’t judge like man…

  29. florida_girl February 25, 2010

@Me…I totally agree not one time was Charlie show taken off the air…but you know what they did started digging into his wife past bring up old stuff like her being addicted to coke getting arrested which has nothing to do with his ass putting a knife to her throat….now they are investigating his past relationships because Charlie got a pass yet no one cares and look at how old his ass is…

  30. sugar February 25, 2010

    where is X Y & Z today….. does anyone know?

  31. RANDOM February 25, 2010

support away chrissy but i dont think tiger cares one way or another

  32. Different day, same haters! February 25, 2010

@Blasian: Figures you would be one of the first people to leave a comment! You just can’t wait for TGJ to do a story on CB so you can get in here and tear up your keyboard with another of your long ass rants! Do you ever get tired of saying the same ish over and over again! Yeah you are ‘mad’ and obviously bitter cause you wouldn’t waste time commenting continuosly on someone you ‘can’t stand’ if you weren’t. He is NOT in jail and is not going! Get over it! He has been punished for his crime and is moving forward with his life and career. Try to keep up! You are a pathetic person who continues to wish the downfall of a person who is trying to redeem themselves!

@Youputthelimeinthecoconut: Same with you! You rush in here to say the same ish over and over! YOU are the trach as well as anyone else who continues to bash this young man! You are a pathetic miserable person who takes pride in downing another human being! YOU are the definition of trash!

This is only a ‘portion ‘of an interview and he was asked a question and he gave an answer! He did not show up and demand to talk about Tiger or his situation. In fact, he has been asked in several interviews about the situation and declined to answer and he finally did. It is an honest answer and he was giving his opinion about a situation that the whole damn world has voiced their opinions on! Since he is guilty of a sin, as we all are, he can’t give his opinion! Ya’ll are some damn hypocrites!

@’Ello::Why the hell would CB go to rehab?? He doesn’t have a substance abuse problem and he has already been punished for his crime by LAW and is completing his CS and DV classes as ordered by the judge! He just recently got commended by the judge, again, for his glowing report on from the Richmond police dept on his work done thus far. He has been making music and doing interviews for months now! Where have you been??

Regardless of what you people think about this dude, he IS and HAS been moving forward with his life and career. Even if you people are unaware or refuse to see the positve things he is doing an accomplishing, he is still accomplishing them! Like Tiger, CB is capable of redemtion and is moving in the right path! The only people who need to forgive them are the people they have done wrong. None of us are those people! If ya’ll choose not to support him then that is your choice! You can sit back and continue to be bitter about situations that have noithing to do with you, but the reality of it is they will continue on to have success in their lives and career!

  33. ‘Ello February 25, 2010

    @Different Day, Same Haters

Well thats what I think he should do if he wants TO SELL. I still like his music. Rehab was the wrong word I meant counseling.

CB stans always take things so personal. I am not just talking about you.

  34. Ben February 25, 2010

    Wow, how ironic Chris.

  35. S*** February 25, 2010

    I Agree with Chris

& Since when was it illegal to cheat on your Wife?? He apologized but what he did required none, he owed no one but his wife & kids(if he has any) an apology…

The Media harping on this story over & over constantly Jamming it down our throat was uncalled for, SO WHAT, who cares what tiger does behind closed Doors… Thats his Life, For him to have gone threw what hes been going threw, he might as well had Hit his Wife Chris Brown Style.

  36. h February 25, 2010

when i grow up i’m gonna cheat on my wife BUT it’s gonna be okay because I’m gonna apologize afterwards.

  37. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut February 26, 2010

@S***, it is illegal to cheat on your wife, technically. It’s called adultery, and it is indeed a fully prosecutable offense (at least in the States, where he’s from.)

More than anything though, he cheated on his wife with 14 women. Tiger Woods is a low life piece of s*** for tearing his family apart and putting them at risk, therefore he deserves everything he gets AND MORE. There’s absolutely no question about it.

  38. Renae February 26, 2010

He’s absolutely right, who are we to judge, God will judge us all in the end. And why is it when a BLACK celebritity mess up its talked about forever but when the Charlie Sheen’s, etc., mess up the media coverage dies in about a week. I mean the media and even some of us would have us believe we are the only race of people who always mess up. No one is perfect, and while what both of them did was wrong, we are not the judge and the jury.

  39. вeяячℓiσuѕ вeα February 26, 2010

    who cares pass

  40. Clarrisa February 26, 2010

Soooo….ya’ll are pretty much bashing on him because he’s a forgiving individual??? There is a big difference between hatin’ ON someone and HATING somoene period. It’s just sad to see that most people are so unforgiving and harsh towards people they don’t even f****** know, but if you were in their positions, you know good and damn well you would want forgiveness as much as the next person. *excuse my language*

I don’t any of yall’s religious background, BUT if any of you are Christians and yall continue to sling mud, and pinpoint all their wrongs, that just shows how much you aren’t a Christian. The Lord says to Forgive, and if you constantly bringin up old news and judging others when you don’t even know what really happened, then the problem starts with you. I can definitely tell that Chris is in a new and more positive place. I mean I don’t get it, you hate him for beating Rihanna, but then you turn around and hate him MORE for trying to do better…What do you want him to do? Same applies for Tiiger. Ya’ll act like ya’ll got beat by Chris Brown, or had Tiger for a promiscuous cheating husband!

BUT I F0RG0T! I’m talking to stubborn, hard-headed people who obviously think they stuff dn’t stink, So I’ll stop beating the dead horse now…smh I’ll pray for ya’ll though =/ It’s just really sad and a shame.

  41. Clarrisa February 26, 2010

@’Ello >>>And no…I don’t think anyone is taking anything personal…I just think it’s just OBVIOUS who is Compassionate and who isn’t. #justsayin

Anywho…….I ain’t a stan of ANYBODY, I just believe in morals and yea what they did was truly wrong in so many ways….but come on now, Why continue to bash them, I mean they know it was wrong and feeling like the outcast…..especially in the ignorant and Biased society of the US…that’s punishment enough. I’m not too forgiving, but I also know when to be rational about things and move on.

  42. Mark February 26, 2010

I think people are missing the point about Tiger Woods and CB.
I don’t think the issue is so much about WHAT they did, but the fact that they both presented themselves to the public in a certain way and then were “caught” in behaviour that was SO opposite to their media persona.

The public doesn’t like being lied to in this way.

The media know this, they know exposing this kind of hypocrisy sells papers/magazines/gets you viewers.

Becoming a “celebrity” in whatever form you choose exposes you to the danger of being exposed in this way. Is it fair? Possibly not. Is anybody without flaws? Definitely not.
That doesn’t change the fact that if you have an “image” that is not who you really are, then you need to accept the possibility that you’ll get caught out.
Bottom line – be more honest about how you present yourself.

As for the “crimes” of these two people – Tiger doesn’t owe anyone except his wife an explanation. However, he’s been proven to be dishonest on a regular and consistent basis. Not my idea of admirable behaviour.
CB assaulted a woman. Is he remorseful? Probably. Is he doing all that he is required too legally to meet his obligations? It would seem so. Do I admire someone who beats a woman? No. Would I be friends with someone who beats a woman? No. Would I forgive someone who beat my sister? No.
    And there is his problem…

  43. jamaican cutie February 26, 2010

elin is a ho rhianna is a ho the end!!! pple are dying of hunger, you cant find the first cent to pay ur tuition, bills are due, rent is due , car note needs to be paid…AND THIS IS THE TRIVIAL S*** Y’ALL WORRY ABOUT???!!!! despite what both guys did THEY ARE STILL MAKING MONEY!!! so y’all need to chill ur makin them richer with ur silly comments

  44. Fred February 26, 2010

The point he was making is that it is none of ANYONE’S BUSINESS what they do or not. He did not condone what Tiger did and I know he feels bad for what he did also he is trying to do as much as possible to become a better person himself now I have seen plenty of evidence of that. So now you are all still up his ass in his business even on this site as usual. He is rich as hell and could probably care less what you people say anyway.

  45. Jordin February 26, 2010

    @FRED
THANK YOU AGAIN! 2nd time and 2nd post I had to cosign 100%
    @Different Day Same Haters : I agree 100 with u too.

  46. X,Y,”and Z” February 26, 2010

What leaves me just incredulous, is the fact that, Rihanna was the “Aggressor and Instigator” WHO, in fact, assaulted Chris with HIS CELL PHONE; so said TMZ, her MOST ardent-supporter and his MOST-strident detractor/critic! Till the small-minds, hypocrites, misandrists, racists and haters “take-said-note”; I’ll never agree with ANY-OF-YOU! Some of the reasons, y’all gave, for disagreeing with CB, are based in, sheer unadulterated and unapologetic personal bias – against CB!

I don’t think ANY of what he voices will EVER be “good-enough”, nor to-any-of y’all liking!

…Wait….let me me understand this: Elin Woods attacks Tiger Woods, with his golf club – a weapon, I should remind you – the ambulance arrives, they find HIM on the street unconscious, with HER standing over him with a golf club in HER HANDS; the ESCALADE-in-a-wreck, and y’all are giving HER a “pass” ’cause she’s “the-woman-scorned”? …HUH? What the f*** are y’all thinking? What if she’d killed him? What if their infant children were in the car and THEY got hurt?

Oh, for the record: Tiger said, with HIS FATHER SITTING BESIDE HIM, ON THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW, “I’m NOT black!” ….Here’s MY regards towards Tiger: “F*** YOU!”

Am I being contradictory? No, if you carefully read what I wrote, you’d see for yourselves: “Assault is assault”; ‘being in-possession-of-tits ain’t no-good excuse’: Elin Woods didn’t ‘JUST-SLAP’, nor didn’t ‘JUST-PUNCH him’, no! She attacked him, with a weapon in her hands — WHILE HE WAS DRIVING!

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT!

  47. Keesha February 26, 2010

@Mark, I don’t think you get the point of forgivness. It’s not for the person that hurt you or your loved one, it’s for YOU, so you can let go of the anger and pain that came with that situation and so that you can move on with your life.

Personally, I’ve forgiven both, becuase you know what, they never beat me or cheated on me. I have absolutely NOTHING against them. And to whomever said that Chris has no opinion, yes the hell he does, and his opinion was abosolutely correct. Although I do not like what both Tiger and Chris did, we do not know them, and to be honest when I see that celebrities make mistakes, it actually makes me less judgmental of them because it makes me realize just how human they are. Oh, I agree with everythig that @Clarissa said. Morally, technically, AND realistically, it is NOT our business, but our society is so screwed up. For some reason, we really seem to think that these musicans, athletes, or actors/actresses owe us more than just what their occupation specifies, which is most definitely not the case. Chris is a musican, music and performing is ALL that he owes us; Tiger Woods owes us his golfing skills, and the same goes for all other celebrities. And I will say this again, I DO NOT condone what Tiger or Chris did, but I will not sit here and say that I loved Tiger or Chris for how they treated women in their personal life, because, I don’t know them. But I personally wish them both the best. I even wish these haters who think that Tiger and Chris are “scum” the best as well, as you will surely need it. I personally hope that you never cheat or beat up anyone or make a huge mistake in your life, because karma will most definitely come back around on your behind and I guarentee that you will regret judging either one of these people.

  48. chianne February 28, 2010

As usual, the media is pouncing on an interview that was longer and focused on other topics than this. And, yes Chris needs to get more on top of the game re: answering these red flag questions. He was just rambling on inthe interview, basically saying ‘its personal, leave it alone.’ But all the media is picking up on is “Chris supports Tiger.” I think the word is ’empathizes’ – but not a word CB would use.

Now that it IS public – the comparisons of their crimes bothers me. What Tiger did was disgusting and habitual; he has admitted this and no one has suggested ANY justification for it. Chris/Rihanna – that is a very GRAY story to me, and I’ve seen signs suggesting there was mutual violence. Of course Chris went too far. But no one knows the full story and its very simplistic to summarize that “chris brown is a woman beater.” He was a 19 year old kid who lost control. (how old is Tiger Woods?) TEENAGERS DESERVE A SECOND CHANCE.

  49. Kevin February 28, 2010

I hate commenting on Tiger Woods stories, but people need to forgive and forget. Of course they f’ed up, but they apologized. What else can they do?

let them live their lives and make amends.

  50. SimplY_FLawLeSs March 1, 2010

LOl its soo funy but at the same time Chris is so tru people often for get why they are fans of a famous person
