I liked it and it wasn’t even the full version. They are gonna show the full one with Mary J Blige and Pink added. Jennifer Hudson basically took this song over

  2. wika February 12, 2010

michael is rolling around in his grave.. what a mess.. what a mess… shameless…

  3. Destined February 12, 2010

  5. February 12, 2010

justin bieber? miley cyrus? nicole scherzinger?
    what, was kat deluna busy?

pink, jennifer hudson, celine, tony bennett, janet, and mary j blige did beautifully.
    i enjoyed wyclef’s contribution.

kanye, lil wayne, t pain, and akon were useless and didn’t need to be there.

  6. Erin Chenault February 12, 2010

HOT.MESS. get it together people. i mean from justin opening that, to wyclefs yodddle to celine screaming at me to wayne auto tuning….this is sad. so sad

  7. Erin Chenault February 12, 2010

WOW I DIDNT EVEN FINISH THE VIDEO BEFORE THAT RANDOM RAP BREAKDOWN finished after that last comment..wtf wtwfwtfwtfwtfwtwf

  8. Raychel February 12, 2010

Lil Wayne kanye and tpain should have been left out this tribut
    this was a hot mess

  9. TooBad February 12, 2010

Nicole Scherzinger is not relivent enough to be on here

  10. Drey2R4U February 12, 2010

I saw it for what it was. I think people are just too quick to judge it because it wasn’t like the original. I mean it is a charity song and really what was yall expecting from it. I didn’t even see this as nothing to compare to the original cause it was far from it. It was it’s own version and not an imitation which is a good thing.

  11. rightround(U.S.A pride!) February 12, 2010

    AUTOTUNE…?? ugh this was bad!

  12. kayla February 12, 2010

brandy should of had a bigger part she would have killed it jus like the wake up everybody remke

  13. Wooda February 12, 2010

HORRIBLE….they need to lose all rap parts(t-pain need his ass whipped)…..and get rid of justin beber,nichole,miley…..what happen to WHITNEY, BEYONCE, ALICIA KEYS, MARIAH CAREY,…the real talent of the this generation like the the original had…this seemed rushed n they gathered a bunch of nobodies who can’t sing…..they should have took their time and waited for the really singers to be availble…THEY TARNISHED THE ORGINAL GREATNESS….shame on whoever idea this was…

  14. Ris February 12, 2010

Dont like it AT ALL. Michael is turning in his grave right now no no and no a mess. Wyclef with the autotune and Miley with her screaming just plain NO

  15. Steffon February 12, 2010

I like it but the people who got SOLO’S wtf . NICOLE tho

  16. iamhot23 February 12, 2010

this was one hott bonafide mess …. WYCLEF should just go over a CLIFF seriously thats a messs

  17. mskeribaby February 12, 2010

Lol … I cosign completely, I love that celebs are using their names to help Haiti but seriously for the first time since the original they get Justin Bieber to start it off??? I carried on watching saw Nicole Scherzinger and thought the hell!!! Then T-pain’s tired ass autotune killed it cold, all great rappers they had there however completely unnecessary they shouldn’t be on the song. Imma buy it though but best believe I will delete it straight after! Janet and Mike were the highlight so i’m glad of that at least

  18. the truth February 12, 2010

    where’s Beyonce and Rihanna

  19. WALEE February 12, 2010

Celine, Barbara, Janet, Jennifer, Pink, & Gosh,
    WERE AMAZING!

  20. cutiegurl February 12, 2010

ugh! what’s wrong with you ppl? this was for a good cause and i did think some parts was a mess lol but they tried! and it really wasn’t that bad some parts gave me chills

  21. Tami February 12, 2010

I was just so confused watching this. Janet didn’t even come to the making of the video? The rap break down was just one big Question Mark “?”. Can T-Pain sing without the auto-tune or that’s just it for him in musical abilities? Where was Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys? Why was Wyclef babbling/yodelling at then end. Man this was a hot mess. All I can say this was for a good cause so hopefully they will get a lot of downloads of this song and the benefits can go to Haiti.

  22. misty February 12, 2010

Pure and simple…A CLASSIC HAS BEEN TAMPERED WITH!!!! Ima just forget this disgrace ever happened and remeber the ORIGINAL! I will still donate but I would not buy this…Beyonce, Jay, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Neyo and all the other artists that people kept askin’ “why they not in it” KNEW this classic song should not have been remade and stayed OUT of it! Unfortunately some of these has beens/up and comings aint kno!

  23. anonymouss February 12, 2010

LMAO @ lil wayne’s non-singing ass gettin in on this. FAIL.

  24. Mrs. Darren shellychelle Sharper February 12, 2010

    Issues I had:

    1. Why is Justin Bieber on it?

    2. DEATH at whoever included michael and janet jackson that way. It looked so
    fake!

    3. EXTRA DEATH to wyclef’s yodeling #icant…..

    4. Who told nicole she could sing, let alone harmonize?

    5. Who had the nerve to add lil wayne and then have him sing? and then with autotune?
    DEATH

    6. WHY IS THERE AUTOTUNE IN WE ARE THE WORLD???!!!???

    7. WHERE IS BEYONCE AND JAY Z?

Coclusion: I died, resusitated and came back to life 50 times watching that video. #iamdone.

  25. anonymous February 12, 2010

OVERALL THE ORIGINAL WAS BETTER. THE VOCALS WERE MUCH STRONGER. SURPRISED, THE RAPPING MADE IT KINDA KOOL AND WORKED OUT OK. THE YOUNGER ARTISTS WHO CANT SING F***** IT UP AS USUAL. DONT GET WYCLEF’S GARGLING.. THAT WAS F****** WEIRD ASS. LIKE FREAKIN A DYING FROG. WTF!

  26. anonymous February 12, 2010

STUPID VIDEO EFFECT WITH JANET AND MJ. SOOOO FRIGGIN 80’S. NATALIE COLE’S VERSION WITH NAT KING COLE ACTUALLY WORKED WHEN SHE DID IT. THIS GARBAGE SUCKED ASS!

  27. Denny February 12, 2010

THAT WAS TERRIBLE!!!! Where was Brandy, Tyrese, Faith Evans or Trey Songz???? I mean they gave solos to people who couldn’t or didn’t deserve to sing!!!! SAD.

  28. Alex February 12, 2010

    HOT MUTHAFUCKIN MESS!

  29. cutiegurl February 12, 2010

ok i give in, it was a hot mess lol
yea the part with janet and Michael was weird, why wasnt she really there?
    wyclef was ANNOYING
and wtf was with the AUTOTUNE?!? SMHHHH

but still don’t be so harsh, it was for a good cause you know…

  30. florida_girl February 12, 2010

When I first heard they wanted to remake this song I was like nooooo…Common stated this in a interview earlier last week make a new song and leave the orginial alone…hot mess is what this is….

  31. anonymous February 12, 2010

NO WONDER WHITNEY HOUSTON DIDNT SHOW UP TO THIS CRAPFEST! APPARENTLY SHE WAS THE FIRST ONE ASKED TO DO THIS ACCORDING TO MJ’S FRIEND. SHE’S THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD’VE DONE CINDY LAUPER’S PART WHICH ACTUALLY MAKES THE SONG WORK IN THE BRIDGE. YOU NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN DO THE GOSPEL GRUNGE BELTS. DIDNT NOTICE THE BRIDGE AT ALL IN THIS! AND WHY IS JAIMIE FOXX HOOD RAT DOING THE INTRO?? F*** ME…

  32. Aunt Jackie February 12, 2010

    Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat was that? Um NO.

MJ would NOT have allowed that craziness. Glad it was for a nice cause, though! 🙂

  33. Trevez February 12, 2010

That was a damn mess. First off they hyped Janet’s involvement in this and she was on in it for five seconds. Also that was a horrible cut and paste job with her and Michael. The song was just all over the place, Mary, Celine, Pink, Jennifer Hudson, and Usher sounded good from what I can remember. Why did they give Nicole Shitzinger a solo part, who’s d*** did she suck to get that. Don’t get me wrong the full version sounded a little better until I heard Lil wayne on the track, sounding like Flavor Flav with that autotune. This was something that shouldn’t have been done.

  34. Kendra February 12, 2010

    MESS!

  35. blasian February 12, 2010

    THIS WAS A HOT MESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

CELINE DION KILLED IT LIKE ALWAYS BUT THE REST OF THIS WAS A WASTE OF TIME

  36. alcorngrad February 12, 2010

Well, it was for a good cause, but with all the beautiful voices present in that room why did my ears have to suffer from the likes of Justin Beiber, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Wyclef, Miley Cyrus, and a few others! I do appreciate all the celebs getting together for a meaningful cause, but this version is an insult to the original version and really highlights the lack of talent among some of the forerunners in the music industry today!

  37. nickii February 12, 2010

Lord have mercy !!! What in the name was that??? Glad Whitney declined lol!!
Miley, Nicole S.,Justin B. really??? where was Mariah, Beyonce and Alicia???
This is a Hot Mess!!!! Sorry Micheal but they butchered your song! Autotuned gee!
I only like Jennifer Hudson and Barbra parts!!

  38. jeremimi February 12, 2010

    THE GOOD:

1.The transition between singers is excellent
    2. The video quality is great
    3. The big choir sounds great…even with a 100+ singers
    4. The message is EVERYTHING!!!

    THE BAD…REAL BAD!!!

    1. Unnecessary singers that should NOT have been invited…Justin Biebler, Miley Cyrus, LIL WAYNE, T-Pain
    2. Singers that SHOULD HAVE been invited … MARIAH CAREY (DUH!), Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna (since she’s from the islands towards Haiti), Whitney Houston, R. Kelly, Brian McKnight, Boys II Men, Christina Augliera, JoJo, Justin Timberlake, (people along those lines aka, REAL SINGERS)
    3. WYCLEF unfortunately RUINED the song … absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!
    4. I could HARDLY HEAR Janet Jackson, and she had a BIG part (sadly, it went unnoticed)
    5. Why did great singers (Mary J, Pink, Celine, Toni Braxton, Usher, Josh Groban) get the LEAST AMOUNT OF PARTS … and stupid singers like Lil’ Wayne had a chance to sing much more than Toni Braxton????? DUMB CHOICES BEING MADE HERE!!!
    6. The rap was completely UNNECESSARY!!!
    7. Why was Jamie Fox singing like Ray Charles and bursting out laughing at the end … IS THIS A JOKE PEOPLE?!?!?
    8. Some people got more parts than they SHOULD HAVE HAD … and some singers got less parts, when the should have had LOTS OF PARTS
    9. This left me confused as to who was choosing which “singers” get what parts

    10. However, the message is still the most important…NOT the crazy producer who chose some of these fake singers!!!

  39. here to laugh February 12, 2010

How about they should have just left the song alone PERIOD. I’m sure they had great intentions and whatnot, but “We are the World” is a classic and timeless song that should have not been tampered with.

  40. jeremimi February 12, 2010

I feel like they were trying to be cool by adding auto-tune and a rap and LIL WAYNE….but it actually RUINED the song….absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

  41. jeremimi February 12, 2010

And I’m sorry, but Wyclef makes me HATE the song (not the message), just the “SINGING”

  42. yamith February 12, 2010

I liked the first part of the video… Loved Pink and Jennifer Hudson.. The last part I’m not very fond of it… But all in all… I think it is a nice new vresion of such a great classic…

  43. MS.CLAY February 12, 2010

OH GOD!!!!!! I LMMFAO @ WYCLEF!!!!!!! GGGGGEEEEEZZZZZZZZZUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSS! HIS YODEL WAS THE FUNNIEST ISH I’VE SEEN IN 2010!!!!!! STILL LAUGHING!!!!!!!

    I LIVE FOR LILWAYNE!!!!!!!!!!

MY FAV PART IN THE SONG IS CELINE DION! THAT WOMAN CAN SSSSAAAAAANNNNNNGGGGGG!!! DAMN. I BECOME SPEECHLESS EVERYTIME I HEAR THAT WOMAN. SHE IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE FEMALE SINGER OF ALL TIME!!!!

WHY THE F*CK DID NICOLE HAVE A LEADING PART??? I DON’T GET THAT FOR THE LIFE OF ME!! SHE IS A NOBODY!!! DANG!

    YEAH THE AUTOTUNE…EH? NO!!!!!!!!

I LOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEE PINK! SHE IS SOOO FREAKING AWESOME! I’M GLAD SHE HAD A LONG LEAD PART!!!

THE RAPPING SECTION BY LL AND THE OTHERS WAS UGH!

    I’M STILL LAUGHING @ WYCLEF!!!!

JAMIE DOING RAY CHARLES WAS CUTE! AWWW!!! I HEART JAMIE!!!

AND AGAIN WHY WAS NICOLE THERE???? GOODNESS!!!!

OVERALL I LIKED THE SONG MORE THAN I THOUGHT I WOULD BUT THE ORIGINAL IS DEFINITELY BETTER!!!!

    LLLLAAAAAAAAWWWWWWDDDDD WYCLEF!!!! LMMFAO!!!!

    WAYNE-HEAD. OUT.

  44. box69 February 12, 2010

There was nothing wrong with the song, it just was not the original, it couldn’t be. And as for
WHITNEY, BEYONCE, JAY-Z, ALICIA KEYS, MARIAH CAREY, RIHANNA,and a few
other major stars mention that were not on this song, I am pretty sure that Lionel Ricthie
and Quincy Jones approached these people but they chose not to be apart of the project.
And for the slow ones Wyclef Jean is speaking to his Haitian brothers and sisters.
    Get a clue, people!!!

  45. FiercerMC February 12, 2010

    it is a total mess!!!

  46. Jose February 12, 2010

Someone knows the REAL reason why Mariah Carey is NOT here? And as the other comments… what about Whitney or the same Cyndi Lauper?

  47. B@tch Please February 12, 2010

I agree with everyone that was a HOT MESS. GOOD DAY

  48. Aryo February 12, 2010

Glad Jay-z and his ugly fat-ass wife arent on the track!
what was wrong with lil Wayne ?????
loved everyone else speciality Nicole’s part, it was amazing.

  49. SDDub1 February 13, 2010

I’m glad some celebrities were left out and other singers got to shine. Because back in the day no one was fussing because maybe Prince or whoever didn’t jump on We Are The World, because it wasn’t just one singer on top it was about multiple singers and different styles. You had country, rock, rap, hip-hop, pop, R&B all fused. Onced again great job, perfect timing. I even liked that they left the Michael Jackosn parts alone. So just forget about relevancy and who’s not there, think of the cause, HAITI.

  50. Annie’ February 13, 2010

I’m still trying to figure why the wrong artists got the wrong solo parts and why some have a solo at all? Were they the fillers for the artists they couldn’t get or didn’t show up? lol This remake has sooo many question marks. And just……………….. IDK what to say. SMFH!

  51. g3 February 13, 2010

a damn mess where are the real singers at im not even gonna get started on the auto tune are u serious?? smdh

  52. Kenney February 13, 2010

STRA!GHT UP GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!What the f*** is Justin Beiber doing on this and why was he the 1st 2 be heard???

  53. chianne February 13, 2010

I like that they came together to do the song and make it more known to this new generation. Lots of young people may watch it because their favorite artists are there. There may not be the big artists but there;s someone there for everyone. Many young people LIKE Lil Wayne and Kanye and the rappers, and that will draw them into this song. Musically it has messy parts, but the meaning of the project and the cause are more important .

  54. Kyus93 February 13, 2010

IT’S FOR CHARITY YOU F****** SICKOS. PEOPLE ARE DIEING OUT THERE ABD YOU PEOPLE ARE BITCHING ABOUT THE ARANGEMENT!? GET SOME PERDPECTIVE

  55. Nesa February 13, 2010

Personally I just enjoyed watching the artists get together and do this. The rappers didn’t really work – except I did liked what Kanye pulled off (and that he was even IN this). It was nice to see Wayne and T-Pain just be there – I liked Wayne’s part, Pain was a little jarring.

Beyond our vicious reviews tho, can’t peole just get into the idea? and the effort? There was no Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles there – but do these kind of singers even EXIST today?? (well, maybe R.Kelly).

Yea, young people don’t even know this song – now they will.

  56. Aryo February 13, 2010

    @ chianne
”There may not be the big artists’??????????????
so who are : celine, akon , lil wayne(altho he f***** it up), pink, will.i.am, Nicole etc.
    arent they big artists???

  57. Habib February 13, 2010

hot mess !!!i don’t even know where to start…..i know that is for a good cause but man……huh huh that’s pure garbage!!!!!

  58. ImYourStar702 February 13, 2010

That song was a hot mess!!! The song went to hell as soon as T-Pain opened his mouth, Lionel Richie should be shot!!!

  59. movieman February 13, 2010

a mess no wonder beyonce did not do this, she saw it comming from miles away

  60. antertain February 13, 2010

They had strange leads on this project but i guess people deserve a chance to be recognized.

WYCLEF NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! That was tooo much and they made the song all about him.

J-Hud, Celine, Josh Groban, Mary J, Barbra S, Pink. Micheal & Janet Jackson & even Kanye did it 4me.
    Usher & Fergie were cool.
I like how gospel artists like BeBe Winans & Mary Mary got some shine.

I guess the rap & having Miley C made it current but think the rappers should do their own track collectively, so they all have a say.

T-Pain??? I like him but huh?
    Nicole S???
    and the rest….

India Arie, Anthony Hamilton, Faith Evans & Gladys Knight are some hard-core sangers and u got T-Pain, Lil’ Wayne doing singing parts OMG!!!..

Well it’s the cause that matters and the blending of some artist and choir worked well.
Lot’s of questions in my mind here though and some of the MAJOR big names of the here and now are all absent but I know for some it just wasn’t possible schedule wise.

  61. 12345 February 13, 2010

I dont care if it is for f****** charity you wankers, I just know that this is a hot mess and if they really cared about Haiti they should spend time making a new song or DONATE THEIRSELVES! Jay-Z and Rihanna made that Stranded song, beatifully written, why all this people involved no1 wrote a new song?

Auto-tune? Rap? Disney Stars? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This just shows that it is another undercover song for brainless teenagers.

Mariah Carey? Whitney Houston? Christina Aguilera? Rihanna? Beyonce? Justin Timberlake? John Mayer? Lady Gaga? WHERE ARE YOU??

Atleast Jennifer Hudson and Pink nailed it..

  62. 12345 February 13, 2010

Oh and I forgot to ask to Alicia Keys where is she too??

  63. rofl February 13, 2010

Why is Jamie Foxx mocking a very dead Ray Charles in a charity song? was that necessary? i dont think this was that bad but i think the photos helped this being more emotional but it f****** sucked and where is Madonna?

  64. Topman February 13, 2010

Adam Levine was great, he sounds so much like Stevie Wonder. But yeh, the rap and autotune on Lil’ Wayne, Akon and T-Pain?!? The song had a chance of being good until that.

  65. Yan February 13, 2010

    Hot Ass Mess!

  66. Chry5ta1 February 13, 2010

wow – interesting, Mary Mary, Jhud, P!nk (Thats my girl!), Celine – yassssssss

Nicole????????? – I like the way they showed her at the end with will when he was doing his rap, but here vocal was obviously cut out. LOL

  67. antertain February 13, 2010

Yeah i notice Nicole’s cut vocals

  68. 2BAD2BME February 13, 2010

I KNOW THIS IS FOR A GOOD CAUSE BUT IF U WANNA SELL THE SONG GET BETTER ARTISTS TO DO THE SOLOS SUCH AS BRANDY MUSIQ TONI BRAXTON AND OTHER TALENTED SINGERS STARRING DEAD IN YOUR FACE…….

  69. 2BAD2BME February 13, 2010

I KNOW THIS IS FOR A GOOD CAUSE BUT IF U WANNA SELL THE SONG GET BETTER ARTISTS TO DO THE SOLOS SUCH AS BRANDY MUSIQ TONI BRAXTON AND OTHER TALENTED SINGERS STARRING DEAD IN YOUR FACE……

  70. Tyler February 13, 2010

It was garbage, but Mike wouldn’t have cared. He would have understood it’s bigger than who sings what.

That said, the selection was dubious. But it was dubious 25 years ago. There are political commercial calculations that were made in both instances. Not sure what Nicole whatshername gets anyone, but maybe they know better than us. lol.

Either way, if they truly wanted to honor Mike and do something great for Haiti, they’d have written something original. Like “Self-Destruction” and “Freedom” and “U Will Know”

This is just indicative of an historical moment where people are more concerned with referencing the past than definiting the present and charting the future. In this way, the true embarrasment is Wyclef Jean who has the talent to put together something truly defining.

    Sad.

  71. Yo! February 13, 2010

Couldn’t have said it better Tyler! It’s not about who sings it, it’s about the cause. The only two things that bothered me was Wyclef and T-Pain. I Love T-Pain, but with auto-tune?! I would’ve invited him on the song, but I would’ve restricted the use of auto-tune. At least Wayne auto-tune wasn’t all that noticable. Other than that, I loved the song. ALSO, LEAVE JUSTIN B. ALONE! He’s cool with me.

  72. sugar February 13, 2010

where is chris brown? i mean if WYTHIEF is there why not chris?

  73. chianne February 13, 2010

    @Tyler
    Yes, well said.

One more perspective – this is a video project (in part), and I loved the footage of the kids in Haiti. It was awesome – the kids were so beautiful, and made you feel the song. The girls dancing on the rubble, and the boy riding his bike around the tent housing.

On a lower level, I can’t resist giving my two cents on the performers. Beiber to start? No. If they needed a young tenor voice they should have found Chris Brown. I bet he would have loved the exposure on this, and he has gotten involved. And it would have been a BEAUTIFUL voice to start with. Did they ask him? I bet they thought it was SAFER to go with that little boy Bieber.

  74. I am Hatian February 13, 2010

I love this, but my only regret is why, WhY did they not give BRANDY a part in the song? Nicole over Brandy is plain damn ridiculous. But thank u tho, Haiti appreciates your efforts.

  75. I am Hatian February 13, 2010

Oh and btw Chris Brown will never be Michael Jackson even if he was on this song it would not make the song any more wonderful. Micheal Jackson will never be duplicated. All you teeny boppers thinking Chris is on Micheal’s level need a reality check.

  76. I am Hatian February 13, 2010

Pink, Usher, Celine, Jennifer Hudson, Josh, Wyclef (minus the yodeling very horrible) singing in creole with Haitian kids, Justin Bieber (minus singing the first part which rightfully should have belong to a more powerful singer like J-Hud) they did a classy job. I thought the rapping as group was good, but the auto tune, giving T-Pain his own solo was a HOT MESS.

  77. I am Hatian February 13, 2010

I forgot Mary Mary they did wonderful!

  78. I am Hatian February 13, 2010

I don’t give a **** I’m not done. MILEY CYRUS WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! ATROCIOUS! TERRIBLE! DISASTER! anything that can be described as UGLY is her voice. Imma go there. I’d rather hear Rhianna singing to me on repeat cuz I’m used to hearing goats in my area, than listen to a damn MILEY CYRUS! Ok I’m officially done. MERCI ANPIL!

  79. october beauty February 13, 2010

Mighty mutherfucking funny that when people were criticizing beyonce’s dumb ass for sing Halo at the telethon yall was hollering that it was for charity; at least she showed up, and blah blah blah blah but all of a sudden since her WACK a** is not on this charity song yall calling it a mess

Yall kill I guess that it’s OK to bash EVERYBODY else but Beyonce’s dumb a** is off limits

Her a** was not there because she loves to be the CENTER of attention, so they COULDNT have given her a lead part because we all KNOW that she would have been front and CENTER…………………… BYTCH

  80. october beauty February 13, 2010

ANd why the fukk yall Hatian American acting like yall embarrassed

Bytch HELP is HELP (((UNGRATEFUL BYTCHES) ))))))))))

I am quite sure that all those people is Haiti dont give a damn about the song, they are just HAPPY that some funds will be rolling there way

  81. october beauty February 13, 2010

    ***sorry about the typos ****

  82. zenguru February 13, 2010

    no fantasia and kirk franklin???

  83. DONEWITHBLOGSITES February 13, 2010

For what it was, it was beautiful the people with negative comments are just immature asses!

  84. Porsche February 13, 2010

They did great, it doesn’t matter who was in it, it matters who it is for; Haiti. Some of y’all should be ashamed.

  85. Jasonslyric February 13, 2010

Thought it was disrespectful to have Gladys Knight and Natalie Cole there but not give them a solo but then give others multiple solos like the P**** Cat Doll chick WTF!! I’m a big big big Janet fan and even I was wondering what was her purpose was she singing with MJ or did she just lipsync his part because I swear all i heard was MJ’s voice. Celine KILLLED IT!!!!!!!!!! I liked the rap Wycleft was barely tolerable with one sole but the extra ones were too much.

  86. Jasonslyric February 13, 2010

WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just noticed Brandy was in it and she didn’t get a solo???????????????????? Okay glad it was for a gud cause otherwise this would be a total FAIL!!!!!!!!!!

  87. chianne February 13, 2010

    @I AM HATIAN (Haitian?)
I’m not saying Chris Brown IS or will be Michael Jackson. They are very different. But they are kindred spirits. MJ was CB’s hero, and MJ lives on inside Chris. Because of Chris’s downfall this past year, he was not included in the public tributes to his idol when MJ died. I think that’s sad. And yes I DO think it would have been beautiful if Chris had opened. He has a lovely voice (no I’m no teeny-bopper, i’m an adult), and it would have finally given him a chance to honor his idol. I would have cried a river.

    @October Beauty

Who is embarrassed? Embarrassed about what? And why did you say Yall? It’s only one person, me. Also who you calling a bytch, because we stated an opinion about how the song was done in poor taste due to the clowning around and autotune crap? I am very grateful they are contributing to my country, but those celebrities are not the only ones to contribute to Haiti so I could care less about what you think. I already did my part. And yes my people could care less about where the money is coming from, but the people who do care about Micheal Jacskon legacy as an entertainer and humanitarian do care about how his music is being reconstructed to mediocre crap.

  89. I am Hatian February 13, 2010

    *through mediocre crap

  90. I am Hatian February 13, 2010

    @Chianne

    I respect what you said.

  91. StayAfro February 13, 2010

Yep defo agee.. J hud did well and pink, and Adam Levene, but they left brandy out. and Yall Know she would take it church… All these commercial faces to make money for a good cause.. Atleast they got the right mix when they did ‘Whats goin on’ and ofcourse wake up everybody..- I think someone producing this s***.. needs to rethink, although the haiti people need money etc. This single is like someone said.. its not heartfelt enough.

  92. MeMe February 13, 2010

OMG THey F***** up the whole song

THERE WILL NEVER EVER IN A BILLION YEARS BE ANOTHER MICHAEL JACKSON, TO TAKE WHAT MJ HAS ACCOMPLISHED AND TRY TO GIVE THE SAME TO BEYONCE OR ANYONE ELSE, IS THE BIGGEST INSULT, ONE COULD GIVE TO THE KING OF POPULAR MUSIC. HOW DARE YOU? I TAKE OFFENSE TO THAT. UNTIL ARTISTS CAN DUPLICATE WHAT MJ HAD ACCOMPLISHED, YOU YOUNG FANS REALLY NEED TO STOP IT, BECAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. SORRY TO SOUND RUDE, BUT IT’S IRRITATING THAT SOME WANT TO PUT BEYONCE ON SOME PEDDLESTOOL, NEXT TO THE KING’S THRONE, WHEN HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS WOULD NEVER BE CLOSE TO THE KING. HER MUSIC ISN’T INNOVATIVE, HER DANCE MOVES AREN’T ORIGINAL, AND HER VIDEOS SUCK. MJ WAS IMAGINATIVE , GROUNDBREAKING, AND HIS MUSIC WAS PERFECTION. HE SOLD OVER A BILLION AND COUNTING RECORDS, SOLD OUT CONCERTS , HAD AMBULANCES LINED UP , JUST FOR THE FANS WHO PASSED OUT, ARE PEOPLE PASSING OUT DURING bEYONCE , OR ANY NEW ARTISTS CONCERTS, NO, THEY ARE NOT. WHEN MJ DIED THE WHOLE WORLD STOPPED, MJ WAS KNOWN IN THE MOST REMOTE PLACES OF THE WORLD, DON’T YOU DARE COMPARE MJ TO HER. MJ , A QUARTER OF HIS MONEY WENT TO CHARITIES, HE SPENT THE MAJORITY OF HIS TIME JUST GIVING MONEY AWAY , AND VISITING ORPHANGES, HOSPITALS, ETC. HE GAVE HIS TIME TO DIFFERENT CAUSES. YOUNG PEOPLE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU SAY THESE NEW ARTISTS ARE TAKING OVER WHERE MJ STOPPED. WHEN HE DIED, THAT LEGACY ENDED. KNOW YOUR FACTS, IT’S IRRITATING, YOU LIKE AN ARTISTS, BUT DON’T SAY STUFF, YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. GIVE CREDIT TO BEYONCE, YET HIS SISTER WHO SOLD OVER 150 MILLION RECORDS , IS IGNORED?

  94. Pinky_G February 13, 2010

    amazing…….

  95. 12345 February 13, 2010

    @sugar
Chris Brown over “Wythief”? Well I prefer people that steal (there isnt any proof) then people who beat their girlfriends and btw Wyclef is haitian he should lead the song I dont know what is your f****** problem you ghetto b****

  96. vjay February 13, 2010

BEAUTIFUL. The cause, the performers, the gathering together, the love. BEAUTIFUL.

  97. Qtis February 13, 2010

The great MJ was a perfectionist and he would not have let it go down like this. I am disappointed with Quincy and Lionel for not giving this great song the look it should have gotten. Not a good look at all.

  98. AalexisR (The Bahamas) February 13, 2010

It’s just bad seeing it a second time.

  99. chianne February 13, 2010

What is the problem with the look? I think the Haiti footage is awesome – shows the beauty of the Haitian people. And I really ike the images of Michael singing, and Janet singing with him. The group sing looked good. What’s the problem?

    @12345 and others
All the cussing and name-calling here is disgusting – comments about that “b**** Beyonce”, and those “f****** ghetto b******” that forgive/support Chris Brown. We are looking at a song about love here, and all this gutter level hate. Sad

  100. I Love Music February 14, 2010

    I Love This Song

  101. Pinkpop February 14, 2010

love that song, but as many I’m not too happy with the choices on solo parts. I can see why miley and justin biber are on there… but that’s no excuse why really great singers were left off singing just the chorus. I love Toni Braxton, jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Celine Dions parts… Sorry to say this, because I love black music and HipHop, but I think that rap parts just doesn’t fit in there. (was the same when they redone Do They Know It’s Christmas few years ago)

  102. Pinkpop February 14, 2010

oh..and I love the fact that josh groban is on there… 🙂 don’t know why.
BTW…who is that woman before josh groban, at the pretty beginning?

  103. Pinkpop February 14, 2010

oh…and not to forget Adam Levine 😉

  104. Mariah sucks February 14, 2010

Mariah isnt here because she will go probably..ooooohhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeehhhheheheheheheehhheehehehehehe

(that will be so 90s) We heard her before and over exposed. 🙁

  105. WatchmeWatchoyou February 14, 2010

@IAMHATIAN YOU NEED TO SHUT UP. EVERYBODY TOOK A PART AND DID GOOD SO YOU NEED TO CLOSE YOUR MOUTH AND OPEN YOUR EYES AND SAY THANK YOU FOR THEM TO PARTICIPATE.

  107. cerni-vy flores February 14, 2010

hey guys….do you know what is the real meaning of the song?..WE ARE NOT LOOKING AFTER ON THE SONG ITSELF BUT THE MEANING BEHIND THE SONG FOR GOD’S SAKE!…we should not look after who’se the singers behind it, what kind of genre they made it, the most important thing in the video is they had contributed kindness just to sing the song and to bring people around the world to unite not impressing their fans or anybody..i don’t care whose the singers, they all did fabulous..!any singers who can sing the song,i would appreciate it so much..as long as the song comes from your heart,..the song is one of a kind!..

  108. @ me February 15, 2010

    LMAO @ MARIAH SUCKS

I would love to hear what that sounds like! lol..you are funny! lmao!

  109. Cortri February 16, 2010

I wont call it a hot mess, but there were several notable ascences aside from the obvious, beyonce, Gaga, and Neyo…..where was Jay Z. Gwen Stefani, Kirk Franklin, Fantasia…none of them made time for the very relevant and noteworthy cause…just shameful.

  110. MushyLove_1992 February 16, 2010

I’m speechless. Not in a good way..

  111. autumn February 16, 2010

wow! this was soooo bad, just a complete mess. i remember when the original came out i loved it and still do. you got a p**** cat trying to sing, a 15 year old boy in the opening nobody heard of. randy jackson sweating on people and trying to make himself relevant and embarrassing rappers who just dont fit. wow how big is jamie foxx ego, is there anything he won’t do. he’s everywhere, doing everything, all the time. DAMN you are an oscar winning actor act like it and become a recluse, do us all that favor.

  112. Theresa February 16, 2010

Will the real singers please stand up!!!!!! So I guess the original singers didnt agree the remake either or else they would be there. I mean who decides to go forward with THIS song without them and the only good singers that I saw werent featured or just plain werent there………

    WWMD

  113. anthony July 20, 2010

  115. Capella Odex June 3, 2012

hey ppl this is not for competition, d’s jest tribute so i think it’s a normal freestyle for all featured Artists , everybody has his/her own styles and ways of singing with different fans i.e what you like others might not like it , It’s a free style listen to the message not the tonetune ……. Not for world best ..
