Oh God not this one again. 15 minutes hasn’t been up yet? I mean really? Her voice sounds terrible as usual. She’s not even singing. All she does is talk through the whole song. She sounds and looks drunk/high/etc. And lastly the song sounds exactly like the last headache she was singing. While I love pop and Pop stars this one has no future and is truly just a cheezy ass gimmick NEXT!

I don’t think that her performance was anything extraordinary. But I liked it, none the less. If you actually listen to ke$ha’s more emotionally charged ballads like “Hung over” (current new single), “Animal,” “Your love is my drug,” or “Blind,” you can hear that she has SOME range with her voice. Lately, I’ve honestly started to look to her as the *NEW* Avril Lavigne and I think that most would agree.

She’s stepping onto the scene as a ‘rebel’ for the younger demographic range (10-18) as someone who doesn’t give a “f***” about the establishment and just wants to party hard and do her own thing. The only thing about that comparison to Avril is that she vocally sounds like her, but with less range and a different form of class. I’d like Ke$ha much, much better if her look wasn’t so ..trashy. I don’t like the fact that she might be looked up to as a role model, especially for young girls. Then again, Ke$ha’s stuff is extraordinarily catchy and even if you HATE her, if you listen to her entire album, I can guarantee that you’ll find at least one song that you like.

Her stuff is steered towards our ‘party’ generation and that’s so evident that she’s dripping with it. She’s been growing on me steadily for the past few months and I’ve started to like her, yet still strongly dislike her image. I have a feeling that she might take the category for ‘Best New Artist’ at the VMA’s/Grammys, etc because of her constant chart dominance with instant-club hits. When I sampled her album, I realized that its going to be pretty tough for anyone like Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, or Christina to try to ‘dethrone’ her off of charts and in digital/album sales around the world. It isn’t about the quality of the songs these days, so its hard to argue that that alone can leave you at the top of the world with your music.

    These days,
its about Market – Advertising – Public Dominance.
Ke$ha won’t be gone until 2012, I predict. She has the kind of sound that’ll last for a few years because its funky, fresh and new. However, pop music radically changes at least a couple of times during a decade and I know that people are going to grow tired of her.

    But again…
Not for the next few years. Older adults to younger adults may label this as ‘trash,’ while Ke$ha gets her money from the fact that her target demographic is making her a very plump cash cow. Remember…it isn’t the music industry that determines the kind of music we listen to or who dominates it at the time.

    Its us, the public.
In conclusion….The World’s ‘Party’ Generation wanted an artist that would help keep its minds out of war, death, famine and darkness….and it got one.

    shes absolutely disgusting

As a young person, all the young people who like this make me sick.

Nothing about her can be justified. He music is terrible, her image is terrible, her lyrics are for mindless idiots.

At least someone like RIhanna can be justified because she’s beautiful and has a rock-solid promotion/fashion team. The illusion of talent is there sometimes. A blind man could see that Ke$ha is a phony and talentless.

THIS IS SAD, KESHA CAN SING, THERES VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE OF HER SINGING BEFORE SHE REACHED THIS AMOUNT OF FAME, HOWEVER HER LABEL HAVE MADE HER INTO A GIMMICK.

  11. Phatmat March 27, 2010

OMG u b****** are major haters…she did amazing and had wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more stage presence/flare/umph than a certain stiff ass bajan model/wannabe singer! Sorry she doesnt fit into the “mold” of what you want her to be, but thats quite alright as she obviously doesnt give 2 f**** what critics or anyone thinks of her, just so long as she keeps doing ke$ha, than i’ll continue to support her. Besides, she reminds me a lot of me right now, and yea im a party boy!!! SO THE F*** WHAT! I would love to party with her! So suck on that! lol

  12. CONVERSATION CHAMBER March 27, 2010

I really wish people would get over this trainwreck. She’s trash.

  13. Jay March 27, 2010

Avril lavigne has way more talent than kesha, Avril can sing as witnessed recently on jay leno, much bigger dynamics loud and soft, and most of Avril’s songs have a message “complicated” “sk8te boi” person vs image “don’t tell me” abstinence, kesha’s about getting drunk it fits perfectly with every other party songs that appeal to the hills generation, completely vapant and disposable.

  14. DION-ISH March 27, 2010

NOR BAD ACTUALLY…WELL NOT AS BAD AS I EXPECTED

I ACTUALLY STUCK THROUGH THE WHOLE PERFORMANCE, AND THATS A STEP….

  15. Aunt Jackie March 27, 2010

    LOL @ PHATMAT

“Sorry she doesnt fit into the “mold” of what you want her to be”

Ummm, she fits into a mold perfectly, the mold her record company created for her; being a rebel that doesn’t fit into any mold.

Too bad you can’t see through a fake image and you buy into it completely. It’s retards like you that make this world a horrid place to live.

And funny you all don’t take the time to critique “this thing” yet you all throw constant shade at a sister with more going on for her…Riri.

  17. Gucci March 27, 2010

HAHA, Ke$ha has good music, but she can’t sing (not even in her studio tracks) and she can’t dance and basically has no talent besides avoiding water for prolonged periods of time. Is Sam and Trent throwing any shade at her? Nope. They reserve that for a Rihanna post. This is hilarious lmao. No wonder this blog isn’t all that popular 🙂

I still come here though to see what fuckery will be posted next. 2-3 Rihanna posts a day just to call her a model with no talent? Is it really that serious? This is like Rihanna Daily 2.0.

  18. unknowntheartist March 28, 2010

I’ll say one thing for sure, no matter how many people hate her or her lack of intelligent lyricism, bad sing-rap or outfit choices and all the other things we can nitpick about, Ke$ha is well prepared promotionally and easily backed by one of the largest pop labels in the world.

  19. Kevin March 28, 2010

She uses as much auto-tune as t-pain, but t-pain flaunts it.

    sad excuse for ‘entertainment’
