‘Rude Boy’ ‘Rated R’s’ Last Single?

Published: Saturday 20th Mar 2010 by Sam

According to Rihanna‘s production label, SRP Records, the model’s latest single ‘Rude Boy’ is likely to be the last single to be lifted from her moderately successful ‘Rated R’ LP. The news comes in wake of the confirmation that the 22 year old is set to release a lighter, up-tempo album this summer.

This hardly comes as a surprise considering the fact it’s well known a new RiRi LP is in the works. That said, it’s rather telling that after just 5 months, her label have decided to call time on the project, in preparation for yet another assault on the charts with an entirely different record. I mean, if ever there was a template for ‘fast food music’, this would be it; music only designed to satisfy the ‘here and now’, as opposed to stand the test of time.

While such a strategy may bring in the $$$ (as I’m sure her label are hoping it will), it’s rather interesting to observe that the artists that have enjoyed lengthy careers not only boast songs that have gone down as classics, yet also albums too. At the rate Rihanna and her team are going, ‘Rated R’ – despite being her best effort yet – will likely join the pile of forgettable LP’s she’s released (‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ excluded).

In any case, it’ll be interesting to see if there’s actually any demand for Ms. Fenty’s next record, considering how soon it’s being released after her last…

They are so stupid to not release a final fourth single. I mean the current single is #1 in America for crying out loud!

I think they should do like Lady GaGa: Rerelease the album with a new cd included on it, because Rated R is a great album!

    OH MY. BIG MISTAKE.

  5. Tiff March 20, 2010

this isnt good..only one #1 single…I hope they know what they are doing..

  6. Santi March 20, 2010

Rated R is her best record to date! I like the darker sound of it. I think that’s the best thing of this LP and I luv it.
I really H.A.T.E. that her team wanna go rather “bright” and “poppy” this time ’round,
put simply: only for the damn bucks!!!
    BEURK! That really really S.U.C.K.S.

btw: “Cold Case Love” should get the single treatment! DEF!!!! <3 it 😉

  7. Aunt Jackie March 20, 2010

That’s a great picture of her.

Cold Case love is a great song, and I was hoping for it to be released as a single. But, it is rather sad, so I suppose not. If the video had a different theme, rather than darkness….maybe it would do well.

Anyway, I think the next album will be huge. People obviously want to hear happy, up-tempo dance tracks and that’s why Russian Roulette didn’t do well. If the whole album is up-tempo Rude-Boy/Techno-electronica/Urban/R&B like everyone is making, she’s sure to come out of the gate selling at least 150-200K.

I’m curious to see what the image change for this summer album will be, too.

  9. 12345 March 20, 2010

WAIT YOUR TURN IS NOT A SINGLE, IT WAS A PROMO, STOP TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU DONT KNOW, SHE ONLY MADE 3 SINGLES OF RATED R AND SHE SHOULD RELEASE TE AMO OR PHOTOGRAPHS

  10. theillest March 20, 2010

Thank you, she had 4 singles, 4 videos. Why do her fans like to overlook the flop, ‘the wait is over, wait your turn’- it had a video for goodness sake.

I still maintain that her label barely broke even with this record. yep 720k sold in the us and 1.5mil worldwide with 2.5mil shipped worldwide.

But she did so many videos, promo appearances, wardrobe, travel, entourage, props on stage, styling, i doubt that they mad much. That’s why L A Reid’s b*** is in hot water.

If she throws out another album this year, that would be too soon i think.

Does’t make much sense as she is set to go on tour in about a month or two- what song will be out to promote the tour?

I don’t really care anyhow cuz like Sam says, in 5years, radio won’t be playing her s***!

Seriously!? There is something wrong with Island Def Jam. Something SERIOUSLY wrong. Not only have they been f****** up RiRi, but they’re doing the same to other great artists like Mariah Carey, whose Memoirs of an IMperfect Angel remix album has had no promotion and it’s supposed to come out on the 30th of this month. I’m going to assume that’s not happening either cause as of yet there is NOTHING of it on her website. Island Def Jam SUCKS – end of story.

alread been revealed as un-true. Rihanna is releasing more singles and is releasing a re-loaded Rated R.

  20. X,Y,”and Z” March 20, 2010

@Sam — So their “cutting their loses”, are they? If she’d NOT “gone-nuclear” during that 20/20 interview, NOR put out that dark, dank and musky “Rated R”, she’d have pushed Susan Boyle aside; if she’d had THEN, NOT tried to check into that NYC hotel, the very-same one Chris was THEN currently residing, Judge Schnegg would have NOT been so restrictive with that “stay-away order”, and I’m sure the “enforced time/duration” of said order, wouldn’t have been the entire probationary period! But ALAS, there is the entire reality of the matter, now isn’t there?

Rihanna had the opportunity of a lifetime, few artists could never imagine getting a stage that came preset and “ready for command”, as she was given. L.A. Reid deserves, no-less than a, VERY public lashing and termination of employment! Rihanna had the chance to be BIGGER THAN BEYONCE, that’s right, you read it right: BIGGER THAN BEYONCE! …What a f***-up; what a complete-and-utter squandering of a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity!
She could have had “the world placed at her feet” AND STILL had the chance to rekindle something with Chris: “be-it” some semblance of a working relationship done for the sake of touring, concerts and ultimately, CD sales; ‘but a relationship’, never-the-less!
Let’s see Matt Kemp take the stage and dance with her, to the THEN, roar and excitement of thousands, let’s see Matt Kemp write hit songs for her; let’s see Matt Kemp grow with her, as an artist and person – even but for the sake for her as a “public persona” and Brand-Rihanna!

Rihanna is a fool; L.A. Reid SHOULD be banished from the music industry; Jay Z should stop thinking so-highly of himself – he’s NO Keyser Söze, nor is HE, the next Frank Sinatra; Def Jam should cut-their-losses, and promote their OTHER artists! …And “WHAT OF Chris Brown,” you ask? Well, being ONLY 20, Feb 8th/09 or NOT, and being the talent HE is. He’ll be fine, as I’ve said, ad-nausea, Charile Sheen’s upcoming trial will bring with it, some interesting revelations and force America into rethinking who they vilified and made saint: The NEW King of pop – Chris Brown 2.0! <<–CROWN HIM B******!

  21. theLooseLips March 20, 2010

I agree with Sam. It is interesting to see that the industry is merely trying to use her for some quick cash. Newer artists aren’t even really interested in developing and producing bodies of work that will be around for years to come. I can still hear Aaliyah, Brandy and Monica songs from the 90’s on the radio now from time to time. I doubt many of our artists now will be able to say the same 15 years down the road.

The truth of the matter is that artists and labels know that they can make more money by selling singles. Alot of artists don’t care how the album sonds in it’s entirety because if they have one or two Billboard 100 singles, they could easily make more money in downloads and ringtones than they could make on an album. Its sad that it is coming to this but that’s just what it is. It is harder to sell albums these days, but ppl will pay 1.29 for a single on iTunes.

  22. Gucci March 20, 2010

XYZ……and I was like, why you so OBSESSED with Rihanna? LOL you’re so pathetic. You stay mad 24/7. Let it go….your anger isn’t making those radio stations play Chris Brown’s whack ass music, so all of your hard work spamming every Rihanna post hasn’t changed a thing. Rude boy is still number 1, Rated R is selling over 2 Million worldwide. What you need to be doing is buying about 700,000 more copies of Chris Brown’s flop ass album. K :)?

Anywho, I think Rude Boy as the final single is a smart business move because now that she has an uptempo track, she can’t possibly go back to the darker themed songs on her album. It would make no sense, but I can see why the fans want at least 1 more single. Rated R has many songs i could see being successful if released.

  23. March 20, 2010

“The NEW King of pop – Chris Brown 2.0! <<–CROWN HIM B******!"

    HA.

your delusions may say one thing, but billboard seems to say another, dear.
what place did his album debut? 55 or so? exactly.

chris brown won't be anything remotely resembling the king of pop (which, it's blasphemous that you put him and that phrase in the same sentence since that chipmunk cheeked b****** will never ever ever touch the creativity or ground breaking style of MJ) until he gains an ounce of humility, a touch of responsibility, and some goddamn maturity.

rihanna may not be selling as much as she did with GGGB but at least she's not begging for radio play and is still relevant for her music. chris brown stans revel in her "failure", but if selling 2.5 milli worldwide with three top tens in the US is such a failure, what the hell does that make chris brown's sales? O_o

  24. MaZ March 20, 2010

We want FIREBOMB or TE AMO as next single !!!!! lol

I heard Anthony Mandler (Russian Roulette, Disturbia…) would do Fire Bomb video.

  25. YepYep March 20, 2010

YEA FIREBOMB OR COLD CASE LOVE WOULD BE GREAT SINGLES.

BUT WHAT I THINK PEOPLE ARE FORGETTING IS THAT RIHANNA HAS ALWAYS CRANKED OUT ALBUMS!! SHE RELEASED FOUR ALBUMS IN 4 YEARS. THE SECOND ALBUM BEING RELEASED 8 MONTHS AFTER HER DEBUT.

THIS IS THE WAY SHE DOES THINGS.. WHY GET UPSET NOW?

  26. Tha Phoenix March 20, 2010

I keep saying this – if RR was really that successful, they wouldn’t be packing it in already. They’d be stretching it out like they did with GGGB. It’s a shame cause RR was a good album, but people seem to like the ‘lighter’ Rih better – myself included.

  27. Alex March 20, 2010

What a stupid decision. Te Amo, Stupid In Love and Fire Bomb shouldve been singles.

  28. GetitIn March 20, 2010

First, let me start out by saying there’s no point in addressing the large hatred Sam, Trent, and XYZ have. Obviously something in them makes them hate Rihanna for whatever reason and constantly feel the need to bash someone they don’t even know.

I don’t agree with it, but I understand why they are trying to do this. While the songs on Rated R are very good in my mind, they’re aren’t very upbeat or shallow in content. And unfortunately, that’s what’s most successful in America. Look at the charts from the past year and a half. A large majority of them are up-beat, poppy, dance-club hits. The songs on Rated R are much deeper and darker, which is good for fans, but don’t appeal to the majority of Americans.

However, obviously an album won’t come out until the Fall once the tour’s over. With the success of Rude Boy, they’d be stupid not to release another single in the mean time. Photographs is a lighter song that I could see translating well on the charts. And practically everyone who heard the Rated R album LOVES Fire Bomb, so that should be the final single, IMO.

THE FACTS, BUT ONLY THE FACTS(and a few questions):
Rihanna smashed bottles upside HER BROTHER’S head, AND BRAGGED ABOUT IT DURING A 2007 INTERVIEW SHE DID! <<–Humility, you say?
Rihanna admitted to being a High School drop out! <<–Can't wait for her upcoming Literary Masterpiece!
Rihanna admitted: to NOT liking "soft guys"; "mama's boys", I think is the term SHE used!
Wasn't it Rihanna who has to defend herself against those lingering, and much-mentioned, H***** rumors? What "scar" do you know of, in all of medicine, that grows into a sore, but to then only appear, THEN disappear? …Of course it's NOW a scar, a scar that WAS a H***** sore and NOW healed into a scar!
Is it NOT L.A Reid who NOW has to seek gainful-employment? NO doubt due to Def Jam's creating and promotion of, more to the point, their squandering millions on "Rated R!"
How is it that you can buy a $10million home, and not afford $30K: "VOODOO ECONOMICS", indeed!
Rihanna NOW faces a law suite for failure to pay for services rendered! <<–Correct me, if I'm wrong, but isn't SHE the "at the helm of Empire Rihanna"? "Awashed" in "CoverGirl-cash", SHE should be, no?

Stay tuned…"the Rihanna con", just WON'T end! And you can bet X,Y,"and Z" will be here to remove the hysteria and expose the hidden, and speak the truth!

SO HE’S PRETENDING TO DO SOME WORK TO COVER UP HIS OTHER HOT ASS MESSES. NOTHING LIKE WHEN THE PRINCIPAL IS IN THE HOUSE TO GET REID BACK TO THE BOOKS. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE… ASS SHAT WILL BE FORED NONETHELESS!!

  34. Iluvme March 20, 2010

Rude Boy is the best song on that album

I think they should wait till the fall to release another album its too soon to release a brand new album

Rihanna has made a siginificant mark on the industry she does not have to put out albums as often as she used to.

People will think they are desperate if they rush another album and ppl will start saying she is over saturating the market like they say about Bey.

Rihanna has had an album out every year since 2005 she needs to finish promoting this album and take a break.

Even when she does put out a new album it will do just like the others she is more of a singles artist

  35. Symone March 20, 2010

X, Y “and Z” is the TRUTH! You had me rolling when you wrote “crown him b******”,LOL!

The real truth whether Rihanna Stans want to face it or not is that her cd is a massive flop because of not only what was spent promoting her cd,but it’s a flop because of what was anticipated for Def Jam….

I really feel that she didn’t do well because people outside of her fan base realize that she’s lacking in talent….People that LOVE music also KNOW music and we realize that she isn’t in any category that remotely resembles good music…Now her fans are satisfied with the goat imitations that she expounds on,but I will pass on those imitations….

As far as women,Rihanna is out her league when it comes to GaGa,Beyonce as it pertain to talent and sells. Now when it comes to talent Melanie Fiona and Jazmin Sullivan are way oveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer her head in talent, she simply can’t touch the stage with REAL singers and truth be told there is no singer that “she really outsings” because she simply can’t sing.

Real music fans will not be fooled by her supposed fashion sense, although she looked liked a leprochaun in that green ridiculous lizard looking outfit.Rihanna is just an overly made up gimmick …..

  36. ~TeAM WeeZY~ March 20, 2010

“Rated R” is a great album and the label can pick basically any song remaining to be a single but it’s obvious they don’t want to put anymore money into this project, that’s why they aren’t moving forward with more singles/videos/promotions/etc. And I actually agree with what they’re doing because this is her best bet! “Rude boy” is banger! I know [STRAIGHT] guys who love that song. LoL. So it’s a great strategy to continue the “Rude Boy” theme into an album focusing on those types of songs!

And “Wait your turn” wasn’t released to the radio stations because they knew it was getting a dreadful response, so basically they labelled it as a promo single which is what happens when they think it is gonna flop! Same happened to Mary J. Blige’s “promo” single with Drake and I think CB’s “I can Transform ya” was labelled a ‘promo’ single but it was released to the radio stations, so i don’t know.

  37. S.P March 20, 2010

i dont think the album is over yet! not with rude boy being no 1, no way! best believe they will be anada single…probably rockstar 101. rated r is the ish

Girl please…this is getting pretty redundant. Chris Brown stans like yourself are always yelling flop this and flop that….but wait, what do you call Chris Brown’s Graffiti? Was that not a MASSIVE FLOP? That was the biggest flop of 2009. Get the hell out of here. You’re saying that she has no talent but for some strange reason Rude Boy is number 1 on billboard. I’m confused. If Chris has so much talent then why is he begging for radio plays? His mixtape was free and people still havn’t listened to that s***. LOL. Why is he not on billboard? You can cry talent this and talent that till you’re black and blue but public opinion just doesn’t seem to be on your side.

LOL. You can take a seat right next to X Y and Z because you are a hater as well.

  40. Mrs. Darren shellychelle Sharper March 20, 2010

looks like that *Rihanna reign just let up*

this album was an obvious flop for all the promotion they put in with the 20/20 interview, the videos, photo shoots, etc. and all the money spent on the album. and what did they get in return??? a #1 single! she put out 4 songs, and only one made it to #1. what about getting a #1 album? we all know rihanna has the most #1 singles for a female artist right now, but singles won’t get you anywhere as far as longevity. anyone can have a #1 single, it’s having a #1 album that counts. I really don’t know L.A. Reid puts in so much money towards Rihanna. this isn’t the first time this has happened. it has happened with her previous albums also. they promote the hell out of her only to have nothing in return.

I just feel like this album was rushed and they used her situation with chris brown in hopes of selling more records, but it didn’t work. maybe if she had come out and talked about this way before her album had dropped, she would of sold more. it looked like she was using it as a publicity stunt for album sales. another thing that I think that happened was her direction for this album. it was very dark and different from her previous one, so many people couldn’t relate.

i have said this before and I’m saying it again, Rihanna was meant to be a model, not a singer! She has the beauty and body for it, so I don’t know why she chose to be one. singing is not her forte and I can’t see her 5-10 years from now. She is known more for her fashion than she is her music.

  41. Gucci March 20, 2010

    @MRS DARREN

You see, what I hate most of all is people who make no sense. Why are people so quick to jump to how Rihanna put out 4 singles and only got 1 number 1? Um, how many singles did Beyonce put out? Funny because she only got 1 number 1 too. I think some of you think that getting a number 1 is extremely easy, but then again Bad Romance by Lady Gaga (which was everywhere for like 3 months) STILL never made it to number 1. It’s obviously not as easy as you haters make it seem. Mind you, Gaga hasn’t had a number 1 album either, but she still has masses of fans who support her and it’s pretty safe to conclude she’s here to say.

Rihanna didn’t have an obligation to say ANYTHING about the incident. It was her life, and she didn’t owe anyone anything. But obviously why not turn a bad situation and use it to your advantage? That’s what EVERYONE does. Get over it. Were you crying about publicity stunting when Chris Brown was yapping his mouth every other week about what happened? LOL y’all are whack. First they cry about how Rihanna can’t get a number 1 off the new album, she does, and so they find something new to get mad about.

    🙂 DONE

  42. Kenney March 21, 2010

this b**** needs to slow down! A new album in less than a year after Rated R? They are trying so hard to get her a #1 album and better 1st week sales but Rihanna just like Lady Gag-Me are only relevant in the gay community and the gc seem to be the only one’s buying their music! She needs to take her time and make some good quality music. I think Rated R is her best work to date because it showcases her more maturely and not that pop club bubblegum s***!

  43. S*** March 21, 2010

The R****** Fans will try to get you to believe that just about every song on “Rated R” like CCL, Rockstar, or Photographs could be Singles but in reality the only song(s) left that is great enough to be hit material is FIRE BOMB & Possibly Stupid in Love which is the ‘Hate that I love You’ for this Album. But thats it. Her Album is good though, only a couple throw away Skip Tracks but the rest are either good, great, or O.K.

FIRE BOMB is the best song on the Album Followed by Russian Roulette, Rude Boy, & maybe Stupid In Love(though its easy to get sick of this song). Fire Bomb, Disturbia, RR, Rude Boy, & Hating on the Club are her best Songs Ever… Very few Artist in my Opinion have a Better/Stronger Music catalog, (Beyonce being one of them.)

After GGGB & Rated R I Bet her Next Album will Require an I.D

  44. S*** March 21, 2010

The Demand for Rihanna is Slowly Decreasing. It seems like Def Jam is all about stats, stats, stats when it comes to Rihanna, They promote her hard as hell, & release single after single, They’ll re-release so her album will reflect twice as much in sells & They’ll even Buy Certifications just for brags sake.

Shes just a puppet to them, a mere Voice, she just “sings” their Songs for them & thats it. Shes like a Test Dummy. Shes A Mere Singles artist. LP #5 & still NO #1 Album?? Give it up Mah.

The odds of Rihanna getting a #1 Album is like Beyonce winning an Oscar, Yes its possible But not likely.

Her Most successfully Album only sold 4 Mill When Bey’s latest Album sold 6.5 Million & Gaga 10 Million

  45. Kenney March 21, 2010

@Gucci – no shade, but doesn’t selling 8 mill copies of The Fame in a year mean that she’s out of Rih’s league in terms of selling success at the moment? 35 mill singles in a year. Rih being out longer should be selling more copies of RR, especially as it is an entirely new LP? Why is Fame Monster – essentially a re-release – outselling it? Especially when Rih’s been out longer and therefore, in theory, should have more fans?

Just a few questions I find myself asking. People don’t get this ‘darker’ Rih – and I said this would happen when I first heard Russian Roulette. I said that RR wouldn’t sell anywhere NEAR GGGB, and that Rude Boy was the kind of sound they should be going for. And I was right; Rude Boy is #1, while none of the rest of singles went higher than #8 on the BB100.

  48. X,Y,”and Z” March 21, 2010

It’s ROI – Return on Investment, do YOU think “Jive” put ‘as much’ into “Graffiti” as Def Jam they did for “Rated R”? If you do, then you’re sadly mistaken! ….Or more to the point: delusional, rabid and consumed with “ChrisBrown hate.”

Chris Brown didn’t do radio/tv performances or 1/2 the interviews as Rihanna did, and when he DID talk, what did say? Nothing! …Much to the disappointment to us all: “Out of respect for Rihanna, I’ll NOT go into the details of Feb 8th!”

But Rihanna went into details, now didn’t she? Sure she did, she talked her way “into-a- corner” and, not-only, contradicted herself, but contradicted that Cell Phone Warrant/Police Record, not once, but three times when being questioned by Diane Sawyer during that, now-infamous 20/20 interview:
1.) Did he slam you into a wall? NO, he didn’t “slam me” into a wall!
2.)Was this the first time something like this happened: YES! This was the first time!
3.)Did he choke you to the point of you passing out? NO, he didn’t choke me to the point of passing out!

@Gucci – Chris Brown’s small-venue “Fan Appreciation Tour” was SOLD OUT, do YOU hear me? …SOLD OUT! This is why he was beside himself with frustration as how can you create “THIS SORT of excitement “and not sell CDs?

Well, guess what? Here’s the truth of the matter: Rihanna was given “platinum status on-a-platter” and she threw it away. HER “darkest days” are AHEAD of her. Chris, with Charlie Sheen’s help, HAS-ALREADY put HIS behind him! If there is one-thing that this upcoming Charlie Sheen trial will reveal, it’s that “WE” EAT OUR YOUNG; while others PROTECT THEIRS! “WE” are righteous and expect other to “play by the rules,” but they don’t, this is why “OTHERS” will always win: THEY CHEAT!

  52. B@tch Please March 21, 2010

Sam and Trent always on Rihanna daily. BTW they said a single is not confirmed why so if you have a single thats #1 on hot 100 now. Most likely their will be another single. GOOD DAY

  53. linda March 21, 2010

I don’t really care anyhow cuz like Sam says, in 5years, radio won’t be playing her s***!
    ——————————————————————————————————————–
how can you predict that radio would not be playing her songs in the next five years? are you or sam psychics. I live in West Africa and i work in the media and Rhianna’s songs are on high demand on radio stations here in my country. That alone attests to how huge an international artist she is, so pls dont talk trash

  54. linda March 21, 2010

i do not care how many albums she sold or how well she is doing, all i care is the music and rhianna’s rated r album delivered. i love almost all the songs in her album from start to finish. as i drive to work i just pop in her cd n am good to go.

  55. mark ginnis March 21, 2010

GOOD move ! Rude boy is clearly the type of song she should have more of!!!!! this cd should be seen as an” art move’.A record she had to make to get out of her sytstem. Now back to being fun and poppy/island-y

  56. nicky March 21, 2010

    lmao @ blasian

beyonces latest album just cracked the 6 million mark , its still double platinum on the world chart and hasnt gotten the 3x mark yet which equals 6million.

sorry boo. no need to inflate the numbers.

    http://www.mediatraffic.de/albums.htm

    thanks boo

  57. RANDOM March 21, 2010

hmm i thought that was impressive for beyonce didn’t care enough to check the numbers still dont.

  58. sickwitit March 21, 2010

    @X, Y, “AND Z”

why are you comparing chris brown to charlie sheen? lets look at the facts
1)chris brown is a pop star
    2)chris brown is black
3)chris brown beat up ANOTHER pop star

how hard is it to realize they are not equal?

  59. Aunt Jackie March 21, 2010

    @ SICKWITIT

The points you mentioned are exactly why Chris Brown is still in the ‘Dog House’

    *Back to our scheduled programing*

I’m actually excited about the release of a new album, if it’s a whole new one. It will really be a showing of her staying power. If she can switch it up, and people are buying…..she’ll likely have extended her career. No matter what kind of talent she has.

  60. cool chick March 21, 2010

the only song i like off Rated R is Rude Boy, most of the general public (minus the ass-licking stans) feels the same way.

The first two singles, no one really cared for which is why they did not reach #1, i agree with Sam that Rated R will be a forgettable album. Russian Roulette was too slow and Hard was just annoying as f*** lol. GGGB was the sh!t tho i miss those days 🙁

other then Rude Boy, Rated R did nothing for me this time around. Hope this new album she’s currently working on is a lot better, but for some reason i doubt things will ever be the same like her GGGB era

  61. X,Y,”and Z” March 21, 2010

@Stickwittit — And Denise Richards isn’t WHITE or a STAR, in her VERY-OWN-RIGHT? Denise Richards is a “Bond-Girl”, in the “Main-Stream World”, THIS has meaning; but here’s “the kicker,” Denise Richards, Mr. Sheen’s X-Wife, AND several of his X-girlfriends have publicly stated that THEY’RE willing to come forward, if called by the Aspen, Colorado prosecutor and testify, and bear witness to, Mr. Sheen’s “past bad behavior!”

Can’t you all see? …44 y/o Charlie Sheen will be “exposed” like none-other star before him! Listen, the media, when there is “no-suitable face-of-color to scapegoat, NOR demonize, will resort to cannibalism!” How can you overlook, disregard or excuse, not just a “someone”, but “a Bond Girl no-less,” who Mr.Sheen, shoves to the ground, WHILE SHE HOLDS THEIR INFANT CHILD IN HER ARMS? And you want “a little-sensationalism” to go along with that? …Well, there is “cocaine and s**” – lots of deviant-s** and then, there’s Mr. Sheen’s, and I must say at this point, “alleged-fixation” with gay p***! ..Said alleged, by the NOW “X” Mrs. Sheen – Denise Richards! Oh, and their are NOW “others”, who NOW have come forward, to-make-public, Mr. Sheen’s fascination with “threesomes”: His current wife, and some-willing stranger is found, after SHE is sent out, by him, to THEN solicit; and of course – there’s cocaine! I’m telling y’all, this is gonna be G-R-E-A-T!!!
‘Ol Charlie ’bout to have a fall, and he’s no 20 y/o neither; “that hole”, will seem bottomless!

…What this ALL means, is that America will THEN have to reconsider and re-evaluate: If 44 y/o Chalie Sheen can be redeemed; after given chance – after chance – after chance, then why can’t a THEN 19 y/o who HAS NEVER been in ANY trouble?

White People are quick-to-forgive THEIR OWN, but quicker to point fingers, and THEN scapegoat; “WE” are yet-quicker, to be honest, and play by the rules: YET-quicker to judge our-own, and the quickest-of-all, to THEN condemn-to-death, OUR young-ones! …We’re cannibals ourselves: WE EAT OUR YOUNG! …And ‘all-to-the-amusement’ of a hypocritical, scapegoating, racist, fascist mainstream! …Y’all know it’s true, y’all know I’m right! Y’all know Barack is currently facing hell: “YT” done woke-up, and saw whose in residence at 1600 Pennsylvania ave!
Charlie Sheen’s upcoming trial will be just “too-big” and “salacious-a-story” to overlook!

Winner takes all…LET THE GAMES BEGIN…

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT!!

  62. Symone March 21, 2010

@ X,Y, “and Z”……..I so agree with you especially when you point out how Whites overlook their own faults while acting as if they are “God” over the salvation of Blacks.Unfortunately there are Blacks as we can see on this very blog that go along with that thought process and for that they should be ASHAME.

It’s a shame that you have Blacks on this very blog posting under several aliases saying the same sick nonsense and not one of these clowns will address the real question because they are too cowardly to hold themselves accountable when it comes to their reasoning for such judgements….

The real truth is that many of these same Black fools are just as MUTE about what Charlie Sheen did because they believe “The White Man’s ice is colder than The Black Man’s ice”……….Many Blacks such as the brainwashed fools will NEVER WONDER why they have a mindset to let Whites off the hook while having a mob mentality just like any klansman when they hung, murdered and r**** Blacks on the regular…..

  63. number1k9 March 21, 2010

    I say push on,

I did like “Cold Case Love,” but I’d def. rather have her move on to some more Pop oriented Dance tunes, more similar in the vein to ‘GGGB.’

That was a style where she really excelled and sold a great deal, BUT maybe it was a good move to move away from that sound so she didn’t bore her fans/radio. By her coming back to that sound, people will think OMG the Rihanna I loved so much is back, for good!

Any-who, I did always hear the extremely different sound of “Rude Boy” against the other tracks of the album (I guess “Te Amo” included as well) cause they were upbeat/dance related tracks. Almost didn’t fit the ‘Rated R’ theme.

    @number1k9

  64. Gucci March 21, 2010

    @ THA PHEONIX,

Girl, The Fame Monster isn’t a re release in any sense of the word. It doesn’t have 1 song from The Fame…but that’s neither here not there. i never tried to compare Rihanna and Gaga’s sales, I just compared chart positions to prove the point that a lack of a number 1 album, doesn’t mean s***, and that isn’t not extremely easy to get a number 1 song like these haters keep saying. Bad Romance never went to number 1.

    @BLASIAN

BOO please stop inflating those numbers like someone said before me. Beyonce’s album sold 6 million so lets calm that down. Second of all we were definitely talking about number 1’s in the United States…If I was counting international number 1’s then Rihanna has 3, as well. Beyonce released like 8 songs off her album though, and half of them flopped but nobody’s complaining.

ONCE AGAIN IM COMPARING CHART POSITIONS, NOT SALES. Give it a rest.

  65. Blasian March 21, 2010

    Gucci

Beyonce album has shipped 7 million copies which it will sale.

Like I said if Rihanna’s album was a hit they wouldn’t be talking about a new one her album is a FLOP!

Beyonce songs were sent to diff formats Singles Ladies, DIVA,EGO,VIDEO PHONE was sent to R&B radio which Singles Ladies was #1 for 12 weeks Diva and Ego did Great

If I Were A Boy, Halo, Sweet Dreams was sent to Pop

Rihanna album hasn’t even sold 1 million in the states yet
it underperformed and Def Jam knows it

  66. Reasonable Voice March 21, 2010

    @Sickwitit

Also, the core audience that bought CB/Ri Ri CD’s wasn’t really checking for Charlie Sheen in the first place. Not to mention that a lot of those young, teeny bopper fans that bought Exclusive have “The Bieb” to swoon over now, and if I were a parent, my child wouldn’t be watching “two and half men” and if and I had to choose which CD to buy for my kid, (Justin’s or CB’s) I wouldn’t buy Grafitti either.

I’m not at all surprised that CB’s tour did well in the US. The US is the only place where Grafitti charted in the top 40.

Lady Gaga is a new artist. You can’t comapare a new artist to someone who is four albums deep in the game. Does anyone remember Nora Jones? Her debut disk sold something like 20 million plus copies. Then the business for her next cd was about half that, maybe less, but half of 20 million is still ten million copies. Then her third cd sold even less than half of the second, and the fourth cd didn’t even sell 2 million worldwide blah, blah, blah. None of the Nora cd’s were considered flops because their sales figures didn’t live up to the first disk. Lady Gaga’s figures are amazing now, but it’s unlikely that she will reproduce the same results for an album that isn’t named “The Fame.”

Until Def Jam confirms otherwise, there are going to be more singles from Rated R, most likely Photographs (because of its radio friendliness) and Firebomb (to prove Ri’s versatility). All of Ri’s official singles have been versatile, and the label should release Firebomb to prove that Ri can do it all, dance music, pop, urban, r&b, ballads, and yes, even rock (Firebomb, Rock Star 101). I just clicked on the SRP records link at the top of the thread, and it’s been deleted, so we can add this to the list of rumors that have tried to sabotage this girl’s momentum.

  67. Reasonable Voice March 21, 2010

“Beyonce album has shipped 7 million copies which it will sale”

“Rihanna album hasn’t even sold 1 million in the states yet”

    @Blasian

Why are you counting shipped albums as sold albums for Bey, but not for Ri?

  68. Blasian March 21, 2010

    Reasonable Voice

Rihanna shipped 1 million copies in the states. And it’s been 4 months
Alicia Keys ALL of her singles had flopped badly and she sold more than Rihanna.

Def Jam put ALOT of money into this album. I think they should allow her to go on with this album why you think they wanted to release Rude Boy it has a crossover feel to it .

I don’t have her album so I don’t know if there are anymore crossover catchy sounding songs like Rude Boy. I think Def Jam wants to go with what working for her now. I think they believe in her vision they gave it a try and now it’s back to the drawing board

  69. Blasian March 21, 2010

I think they don’t believe in her vision they gave it a try and now it’s back to the drawing board

  70. NICKY March 21, 2010

BEYONCE RELEASED 8 SINGLES AND SOLD 6 MILLION THATS COOL

LETS DO A MATHEMATICAL PROPORTION…..I GUESS I HAVE TO BREAK IT DOWN FOR THESE HATING F***

8 SINGLES FOR 6 MILLION MEANS FOR EVERY 1.3 SINGLE RELEASED, SHE SOLD A MILLION COPIES ….NOT TO MENTION BEYONCE RERELEASED HER ALBUM 4 TIMES

    4 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RIHANNA RELEASED 3 SINGLES ( SENT TO RADIO STATIONS AND TO ITUNES) AND IS AT 2 MILLION RECORDS SOLD …NO RE-RELEASE

    3/2 , FOR EVERY 1. 5 SINGLE RELEASED, SHE SALES A MILLION

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. THE NUMBERS MATCH UP…….DEF JAM WANTS BIGGER PROPORTIONS.

  71. Blasian March 21, 2010

    NICKY

FIRST OF ALL BEYONCE NEVER RE – RELEASED 4TIMES .

THERE WAS NO PROMO NO NEW SINGLES SHE ONLY RE-RELEASED HER ALBUM ONCE AND THAT WAS WITH VIDEO PHONE WITH LADY GAGA KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.

DON’T GET MADE AT ME CUZ RIHANNA’S ALBUM ALBUM WAS A FLOP GET YOUR MONEY UP AND BUY MORE COPIES

THE Platinum Edition WAS RELESED TO SOME PARTS OVER SEAS SONGS THAT THE US HAD ALREADY

Deluxe Edition Re-Release thats it and thats all

  72. It’s me again March 21, 2010

    All the best to her.

I still think she should focus less on oversaturating the market, and more on learning and improving her performance ability. Gaga sells albums and shoots to number one based on wowing people with mind blowng performances while rihanna has to be selling half as much with all her thoroughly half-assed performances. With up tempo singles like “Hard”, if she bothered to do more in the video and in live performances beyond dressing up and strutting around, people would take her a lot more seriously. With “Rude Boy” she actually managed to bust a few moves, and I think that’s what helped the vibe of that song to sell as well as it did.

If she stops being so lazy and full of herself, and stop thinking she just needs to show up and look good and her job is done, people will respect her more as a performer. The ball is in her court.

  73. Blasian March 21, 2010

Lady Gaga sold has much as she did becuz she RE- RELEASED her album with Hot New Songs. And her songs are where Music is rite now DANCE sound. And it’s cathcy.

For any Artist you put out the rite singles buy would buy and lets be real WHITE ppl buy Music more than Blacks

I don’t get when ppl say her album sold 10 million which it has sold over 8 million but shipped 10 million

  74. Gucci March 21, 2010

    @BLASIAN A.K.A Beyonce Stan

Actuallly hun Beyonce DID re-release her album 4 times. She had the platinum edition, then then edition with the remixed video phone, then the edition with the videos (two of them since the first one didn’t have the sweet dreams video) So you need to get those facts straight and calm the hell down.

The Fame Monster isn’t a re-release of The Fame. It’s kind of annoying the way people keep saying that. It was GOING TO BE a re-release but Gaga decided she wanted a whole new stand alone album. Secondly, why are we comparing them? If you want to be technical and nit picky, then remember when Beyonce’s album came out and Mathew Knowles predicted sales of 1 million copies in the first week? And then it only sold 400k. Are we calling Beyonce’s album a fop, because by the same criteria you keep talking about Rated R, then it actually is! 6 million is NOTHING and in a year i’m pretty sure Rated R will sell just as much. Alicia Key’s sold more than Beyonce in the first week too girl…so sit that ass DOWNNN.

On to the next one….Diva peaked at number 1, Halo peaked at number 3, Diva peaked at number 19, Video phone peaked at number 65, Sweet Dreams peaked at number 10, Broken Hearted Girl didn’t even make it on the top 100, Ego Peaked at number 95….

Russian Roulette peaked at number 9, Hard Peaked at number 8, and Rude Boy peaked at number 1. Why are we comparing them? You keep stanning like if Beyonce is so above Rihanna but the proof is in the pudding.

    NEXT?

  75. Aaron March 21, 2010

I would barely call the album a moderate success. It has gone Platinum in 4 countries and sold 2.5 million copies WW. Plus, all three singles have peaked in the top 10 with Rude Boy hitting #1. And i would hardly call her albums forgettable, considering they all have different styles, which funnily makes them UNforgettable, and GGGB had 3 #1’s.

To have done 4 albums, have 6 1#’s, and have the longest running UK single of the decade by 22, she’s not exactly doing bad.

  76. niki March 21, 2010

XY and Z is really Chris Brown. Has to be. There is no other explanation for the fuckery

  77. daria March 21, 2010

OMG I HOPE RIHANNA ANDDEF JAM PAYING ALL OF YALL TO WASTE YALL PRECIOUS LIFE WRITING PARAGRAPHS DEFENDING THIS B****! YALL SOUND SUM STUPID…. LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  78. Aunt Jackie March 21, 2010

    Same sh*t different day

    @ Gucci & Company

We all know Beyonce has more talent in her little pink than Rihanna has in her whole body—so everyone can save the numbers comparisons. This is coming from a person who isn’t a huge beyonce fan.

    This bish DOMINATES.

    @ XYZ

You have to admit that Rihanna has some sort of appeal to people, even if it’s a dying appeal. Her being talentless and a little dishonest may be true, but she has a quality that is coveted in the pop world. She can be molded. She can change, look different, adopt different sounds (barring this last sound that didn’t work out too well). I’m not sure that’s talent, but it’s a rare quality. It’s based on the fact that she doesn’t talk very much, too. No one knows who she really is, so she can change at will and retain her appeal.

  79. S*** March 21, 2010

    @ Gucci

    WRONG

Bey’s album got 3 Top 5s, 4 Top Tens, 5 Top 20s & 6 Top 40s & BHG wasnt released & VP wasnt a real Single just Wait your turn wasnt & she could have had more #1s had she promoted Rihanna/Gaga Style but didnt seem to need to. She could have done even more singles like Radio which would have easily been a big Hit, Cuz its Better than Rude Boy. Thats 6 hits back to back Selling 6.5 Million going on 7+ off of NO RE-RELEASES WHATSOEVER!!

Meanwhile RihYAWNna only has 3 Top 10s & 1 was a FLUKE Due to song controversy & Stans DLing on Itunes like Crazy so it Debuted High but Quickly fell off- Hardly a hit. So really thats 2 out of 4 Hits. Album isnt even Platinum & only managed to sell 2 Mill & will only see 3 Mill Max. Considering how hard Def Jam Promotes… FLOP

  80. Junior in Jamaica March 21, 2010

Well they never said it was final and her handlers are seeking people’s feedback on Twitter.

I hope they reconsider. That album still has some single worthy tracks left! She should just squeeze one more in before the tour…

  81. vegasgirl March 21, 2010

Sorry did not want to comment but Wait your Turn was released as a single.. It did recieve airplay in Vegas and I saw a clip of her on rihanna daily way back in the day saying that it was her first single of Rated R. So I believe that she has released 4 singles.

    EXACTLY

  83. ~Team Weezy~ March 21, 2010

LMAO! The stans are in full affect I see!

The Rihanna stans will fight harder than a UFC contestant to prove that “Rated R” was/is a success!

RATED R WAS NOT A SUCCESS! I REPEAT RATED R WAS NOT A SUCCESS! Just because you think it is a good album, which I also think myself, does not prove that Rated R was a success as far as sales! And Rihanna did release FOUR singles. “Wait your turn” was released as a single, however, they changed it to being a “promo” single because of it’s lack of appeal!

  84. Gucci March 21, 2010

@s*** you are such a damn hater…..you keep trying to brush off everything about Rihanna and then JUSTIFY everything related to Beyowulf. Get it together. You saying that one of her top 10s doesn’t count is a comment only a hating ass stan would say.

Who cares what COULD HAVE BEEN A HIT off of Beyonce’s album. That’s what her stans were saying when VIDEO FLOP came out and we all know how that went, so calm that ass DOWN.

AND Beyonce did Re-release I am Sasha Fierce 4 times, stop denying it just because you stan so damn hard the facts are the facts. YOU ACT LIKE BEYONCE didn’t promote theee f*** out of her album too. She was EVERYWHERE until just a few weeks ago, LMAO. Get the hell out of here with that s***. She sold 6 mil, congrats to her. i’m not going to hate but the way you Bey stans talk about her like the b**** can walk on water when her album UNDERPERFORMED. A Keys sold more with half the promotion and you stans were blabbing about a debut week of 1 mil and it NEVER HAPPENED. Does that make it a flop? That’s the question. No? Then sit down.

@ Team Weezy, girl please. Rated R still sold 2 Mil and counting world wide. I guess your definition of success is purely based on first week sales, and clearly you don’t know what you are talking about. TOTAL SALES determine the success of an album, not JUST first week. Get out 🙂

  85. Raychel March 21, 2010

@teamweezy yet rude boy reached number one..?
    *waits*

  86. ~Team Weezy~ March 21, 2010

    @ Gucci

Um, sweetheart, before you assume that I was going off of first week sales maybe you should have asked me because that is not what determines the success of an album OVERALL!!!! Yes, they were dreadful first weeks sales, however, it still remains that “Rated R” was not a success! Rihanna did all the promotion a single artist could do as well as release four singles and being the face of every blog, including this one, is the ultimate promotional effort. Not to mention the [INCIDENT] which boosted face time as well. Um, the [INTERVIEW] that happened a few weeks prior to the album release was the biggest promotion stunt of all, but it just didn’t work in generating sales! Sorry. 🙂

  87. ~Team Weezy~ March 21, 2010

    @Raychel

You don’t have to wait much longer honey! Just like your fellow Rihanna stan-mate @Gucci mentioned, first week sales do not determine the [OVERALL] success of an album, um, sorry to break it to you, but neither is having a number one single determine it’s success! There are plenty of artists, past and present, that have number one [SINGLES] but have unsuccessful albums! Although number one singles are good for an artist, they are not what they used to be and they are also overrated! I mean, someone like Ke$ha has a number one song! Really????? So is that gonna determine her amount of success? I don’t think so! Soooooo, um yeah. 🙂

  88. newsflash haters March 21, 2010

wow, sam actually said rated R is her best effort yet, after weeks of constantly calling it lack luster. Darn. Never thought I ‘d hear those words. Anyway I’m gonna have to agree with him that rated r is a solid album, well put together with great music. I hope she releases more songs, cause Stupid in love, Photographs, and Firebomb are hits for sure. But I’m not worried about rihanna, it may be getting crowded on the field, but she can still hold her own.

  89. C March 21, 2010

They should release Fire bomb as a single

  90. Gucci March 21, 2010

    @Team weezy

Okay you can just take a seat. You’ve been blabbing about Rated R first week sales and all I said was that first week sales don’t make or break an album. Lady Gaga The Fame debuted at number 17, NEVER went higher than number 4, and STILL went on to sell 7 mil. So hop off.

I admit that she could have drawn in higher first week sales with all the promotion, but just because that didn’t happen doesn’t automatically mean the album flopped. That’s all i was saying. Call me a stan as much as you want but I care less about stanning and more about showing people like yourself that some of the things you people say are pretty ridiculous. Get over yourself and stop speaking about things with half trues, and do some fact checking and research on the industry.

  91. ~TeAM WeeZY~ March 21, 2010

    @Gucci

Excuse me, when did I babble about first week sales??? *scratches head*

(Read your previous comment once again please) You assumed my definition of success was off of first week sales, in which I just explained that is not what I based the success of this album from! I know plenty of albums that had terrible first week sales but went on the sale plenty.

And please tell me when I said that the album flopped???? Show me PLEASE! I said the album was not a success! There is a difference! Mariah album FLOPPED!!! Rihanna’s just isn’t a success.

And I do my research about the industry, maybe you don’t because obviously promotion equals money, therefore, the money you put in, you want to get out plus more. And in Rihanna’s case it seems as if it was more put in than actually coming out of this project!

And could you also tell me what have I said that was half trues or pretty ridiculous????

  92. ~TeAM WeeZY~ March 21, 2010

    correction ***to sale plenty

  93. Seth71 March 21, 2010

    @Gucci

Gags’s album made it to #2 on the BB200 a couple weeks ago.

  94. Gucci March 22, 2010

My bad seth, you’re right. 🙂

My point remains though…not a number 1 album, mediocre first week sales, but still very successful album overall.

@Team Weezy then what exactly IS your definition of success? Because girl, you sound like a straight HATER sometimes. You comment on every post and somehow Rihanna’s name comes out of your mouth. Really? It’s like the 5th time i’ve scrolled down to see you talking some mess about Rated R. Let it goooo. Granted, I think the album SHOULD have done better for the money spent on it, but here you are judging the OVERALL success of an album that has been out for 5 months. Funny because Beyonce’s album had sold around the same amount after 5 months as well. Sheesh. Hang it up already.

  95. tweetypiebabe1 March 22, 2010

This is why I keep reading your blog! Your commentary on this hits it to the tee!

  96. вeяячℓiσuѕ вeα March 22, 2010

the cd is good don’t see why not another song

  97. ~Team Weezy~ March 22, 2010

    @ Gucci

Okay, first off, for the sake of the year 2010, the term HATER is incorrectly labeling someone who is not a fan of a particular artist. Please just because I am not a fan of Rihanna or explains the reason that her album is not a success does not mean that me or anyone else is a hater. K?

Now, my definition of success (as far as an album) is not based solely from the number of sales but from the number of sales depending on the caliber of the artist and the amount of money/promotion/singles/videos/etc. Therefore, all that was done to put forth this “Rated R” album does not equal the amount that the album has sold so far. Get it? We all know nearly 2 million WW isn’t that bad for an artist in this day and age, however if people (stans) continue to express how much of an international star Rihanna is (which I also believe), the countless performances/appearances that were made and still making currently, with the inclusion of the sympathy from the incident as well as the interview, is just not a success for Rihanna!

Now I have only brought up Rihanna in one other post in which if you go back read my response you would comprehend the reason! I was not bashing her in that post, I was making a point in which I proved! Other than that, I have never mentioned or talked about Rated R unless it is a Rihanna post that mentions her songs/career/album! If so, please direct me to where you’ve seen this 5 times!!!!

And if you want me to let it go, maybe you should try it too because you happen to love responding to me. 🙂

And lastly, Let me make this extremely clear, [ I STAN FOR NO ONE ], therefore your attempt to prove something by mentioning Beyonce is absolutely POINTLESS! That’s the problem with most people, they can’t simply stick to defending Rihanna with her own accomplishments, they have to mention what artists haven’t done to defend her. Really? Girl stop! For the record, had some Beyonce stan attempted to prove to me that her album was a success at that time, I would have said the exact same thing as I’m saying about Rihanna. I am not bias! Just because I like Beyonce does not mean everything she does is perfect or successful! Again, I say bringing up another artist to defend Rihanna is extremely weak. K?

  98. Raychel March 22, 2010

@team weezy whatever I love rated r it was a success in my eyes who cares about album sales really? shes selling more than timbaland, omarian, and other artists that have released their album so what does it matter 2 mil worldwide is pretty good, why are people complaining?

  99. ~Team Weezy~ March 22, 2010

    @ Raychel

I understand it may have been a success in your eyes and that’s fine, but that doesn’t make it a success. And I loved “Rated R” too! I think it is a great album, it’s her best album and it’s one of my fav album of 2009 but sales are sales regardless of the good music. And please, oh please, do not ask who cares about album sales, because had Rihanna had phenomenal sales you and other stans wouldn’t shut up about it! This blog wouldn’t hear the last of how great of a success her album sales were! And you’re right, she is selling more than those artists you named, which is great, but like I said in my last comment it’s more than that.

  100. honey d March 22, 2010

SERIOUSLY….. Why is everyone going gung-ho-boom-click-pow over f****** NUMBERS!!!!! Yea, numbers, stats, record sales etc might solidfy some artists longevity, but theres a point where it shouldnt always be a factor!

This is why pop music, and the industry in general, is so fabricated and manufactured today. Because the execs only care about the numbers and you so called FANS and STANS carry it out by arguing amongst yourselves about your or the next artists’ stats, when truth be told, alot of well established artists that u bicker about could care less about the s*** u all get ur panties in a bunch over (i.e. Beyonce, Lady Gaga, MJ, etc.)

I STAN for none other than MJ and Beyonce. But if any of there projects didn’t sell more than 10 copies worldwide, i’d still support and buy their music because its the MUSIC and ARTIST that i care about, not about what theyve sold or not sold.

Example, Michael Jackson’s “Invincible” only sold 2mil in 2001, compared to the 10s of millions he sold with his previous albums. Does that take away from the fact that he is still the KING OF POP?? Does it take away what he’s already done in pop music??? HELLLL NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU GUYS NEED ARE BEYOND LAUGHABLE. REALLY.

  101. Raychel March 22, 2010

    @honey d I agree
    @team weezy I didn’t always stress album sales 🙂

  102. c March 22, 2010

    G4L
    ROCKSTAR
    PHOTOGRAPHS
    STUPID IN LOVE
    TE AMO
    FIREBOMB
    LAST SONG

Tunes, I think G4L would be an amazing video concept if riri wanted to make a short film out of the track that would be fiya! and could be done for any of the above tracks as each track has a distinctly different storyline which would be exciting to watch play out…hmm out of the above tracks they are all excellent.

  103. Gucci March 22, 2010

    @TEAM Weezy

your definition of success somehow included sympathy sales that you expected Rated R to rake in. That’s another thing people need to stop saying. When in history has anyone EVER bought in high album sales based on sympathy? So are you saying Rated R should have sold more because people should have bought it out of sympathy? That doesn’t even make sense. Now I used Beyonce as an example because most people hail the success of her album, which is in FACT not much different than Rated R besides higher first week sales. Beyonce still had the same promotion, still had the same videos, the same number of singles, and by this point (5 months) it was not selling any more than Rated R is selling. I recommended you let it go because this is getting redundant. You obviously think you know what you’re talking about, but you don’t….K? 🙂

You’re just another closet stan. It’s clear as day. All I’m saying, boo, is to do some checks and balances before you just REITERATE what every other hater has been saying. And for the sake of living in a free country in 2010, I can call you a HATER as I see fit. If the shoe fits, you might as well wear it. Half of the people yapping about the success of albums don’t know what they are talking about. You included.

  104. ~TeAM WeeZY~ March 23, 2010

    @Gucci

Again you have not comprehended! No, I am not saying that Rated R should have sold more solely from sympathy! GeeZ!!! What I was saying is that she and her label [EXPECTED] sales from sympathy because they strategically had an interview just weeks before her album release in hopes that people would somehow buy her album because of her domestic violence issues when in actuality it only demolished CB’s album sales in my opinion!

And using Beyonce as an example like I said was pointless because if in fact her album did not do as good as you say then, I think the same about her album success as I do for Rihanna’s album.

Also I am no closet fan! Just because I have an opinion about a certain situation does not prove me to be a closet fan. I’m not a fan but I do like Rihanna’s music and fashion for the most part, the only thing I don’t like about her is her lack of authenticity and her lack of talent. Oh and the delusional stans don’t make it better either.

And I never said you couldn’t use the word hater, however I was saying that hater is extremely old and washed up. It’s a term used in the 90’s and early 2000’s that should be retired for the sake of a new decade (2010). Not only that, I was also saying that it is also used out of context because you stans call people haters only because they’re not fans of Rihanna which is not what a hater is.

And please tell me how I don’t know what I’m talking about???? Obviously you don’t because you can’t comprehend simple statements that I’ve made! You continue to interpret what I’ve said incorrectly! You take what I’ve said and twist it so that it makes you sound good when it only makes you sound ignorant! K? 🙂

  105. BENJAMIN March 24, 2010

Yep, that is right, time to start fresh, like they did when they released “A Girl Like Me” seven months after her debut. But most likely, she’ll do better with this one because she is realizing that the “Dark Stripper” role wasn’t selling, despite how many felt sorry for her.

  106. mez March 26, 2010

The video is a blasphemy against Rastafari. Why can’t you see that your religion is violated? Show it to any ordinary rastaman and he will agree that using rastafarian symbols in this babylonian video is the work of the devil. You can se the mark of the beast in the producers ugly faces.
