I am an actor and performer. I have been so since my first role in a television pilot at five years old. I played a character when I was a “Cheetah Girl.” I am playing a character in the music video for the song “Spectacular,” as I did in the “Cheetah Girl” movies. Young women across the country get intoxicated and have unprotected sex. That’s a fact. I recorded the song to bring attention to this frighteningly prevalent activity. It is absurd to infer or suggest that I am condoning this behavior.
Are Lady Gaga and Beyonce advocating murder with the “Telephone” video? Of, course not. Was Rihanna encouraging suicide with “Russian Roulette?” No. Was Madonna suggesting that young unmarried girls get pregnant with “Papa Don’t Preach?” I don’t think so. Is Academy Award winner Monique a proponent of incest because of her portrayal of Mary in the movie “Precious.” Clearly, the answer is no.
I wrote “Spectacular” and made the video to bring attention to a serious women’s health and safety issue.
Please don’t shoot the messenger.

She’s slow, where was the irony, humor or anything in that mess she called a video. If it was commentary of how young women should excercise good judgement and responsibilty for their actions she really did a s*** job of expressing it cause no one got it!
And she really shouldn’t bring those other artists into the discussion attempting to compare her video to theirs, her message was lost when I heard that horrible song and saw that horrible bare ass. Try again.
She resembles Tisha Campbell. She does raise valid points. I just wonder who is gonna play the video? It can be only seen over the internet. She is certainly raising attention.

I clearly see her point in the statement above. Some people we knock down and others we support when the situations are pretty much the same. Haven’t seen the video so I can’t speak on it but she’s most definitely telling the truth. And its nothing wrong with her trying to break in the music industry as a solo artist. Like I said yesterday I get her message but she went about it in the wrong way completely! She should have released this before the release of the video and song cause honestly nobody gets this message from that video and like someone said the video seems to condone it more than bring awareness so she should’ve done it in a different way. Bless her though cause I like her.

I totally understand where Kiely is coming from and what she did was very brave eventhough aesthetically the song and the video was bad.
