You read my mind…I would have loved for Kelly to do her own thing instead of taking cues from these other artist. Umm 2.5 million worldwide sales in 8 years is a flop especially with the amount of promotion she got at the time. And I will admit I was wrong about her worldwide sales because I was focusing on individual country sales but she is not an international star. Kelly’s albums should do better but she lacks confidence on stage and her vocal performances leave much to be desired. Kelly will flop just as expected .

I geuss you guys don’t remember when simply deep came out. Kelly was riding off dilemnas success and was everywhere. she even went on tour in Europe for it. she was on mtv and bet. stole was on heavy rotation and this is all before Beyonce’s cd came out. Kelly just doesn’t have it without Beyonce she would be in Houston singing at a roller rink. She has consistently flopped by industry standards and that weak single commander is doing her no favors.
In fact history is repeating itself. Dilemna was a big hit because of her yet her album didn’t sell much. Love takes over is a big hit because of her we will see where her album will go.

Yess I am so excited for Kelly’s album OMG I cant wait. Rico talked so highly of it and I agree with post about I dont care about numbers I just want good music and I know Kelly will give that to me because she did it on her last 2 albums I bought. We all know Kelly was not promoted the best and she could have been bigger with the right team behind her, but everyone forget about the old Kelly this is the new Kelly Rowland and I am excited. Their are only a couple people saying she gone flop but the millions of people around the world who say Kelly thank you for singing WLTO because it has made me believe in the love again are the people that count. We should all be spreading love around the world not hate. Kelly is a true artist and she is a beautiful person inside and out and I love her for that. In America she has yet to reach platinum status. While in the European market she has sold over seven million albums and singles. Which is huge considering Matthew Knowles only gave her one tour to promote her album “Simply Deep” in like 2002. She had s***** promotion; the management was horrible over the years. Her world-wide sales are significant because she is an American artist. Over sees she is competing in a market that has their own vastly different super stars. She has proved herself relevant in these countries, especially in the dance market. In America you have to sell one million records to reach platinum record status; the number of records that need to be sold is based on population. In other countries ie. South Africa you have to sell as little as 50,000 records to reach platinum status. In the UK 100,000 sold is platinum. Trevor that’s not true. Sweet Dreams has been out since 07 when it was called BEAUTIFUL NIGHTMARE…the song was revamped and called “sweet dreams” and put on the I AM SASHA FIERCE ALBUM. Though he may have worked more extensively with Michelle and her stuff got out first..he actually did work with Bey first.
