Rihanna unleashed the full force of her collection of leather outfits on thousands of fans when her ‘Last Girl On Earth Tour’ kicked off last evening. The first show, which was held in Antwerp, Belgium, featured the model performing many of her biggest hits including ‘Rude Boy’ and ‘Please Don’t Stop The Music’. Most interesting of the lot was the rendition of her new single, ‘Rockstar 101’, where she pretended to play the guitar almost as good as she pretends to be a singer. I didn’t care for Rude Boy, Rockstar 101 or Please don’t stop the music.
I liked the Te amo performance. It’s a great song, her little dance steps were very cute.
The have all of this ‘stuff’ to distract the audience from the fact that she’s a boring performer and she can’t sing. Still, the audience looks bored….. until they give the obligatory ‘scream’ at the end. She doesn’t even look like she’s having ‘fun’ most of the time. Should that surprise me, though?

she actually stepped her game up. she put more effort into this concert then any of her other performances. Looks like Def Jam actually financed this show decently. Great effort and vast improvement. Gonna have to rethink buying tickets to the US leg of the tour. It was actually much better then I thought it would be. Good for her.

I hated her performance on the Kids Choice Awards and was OK with American Idol, but I really liked what I saw here. When she came out, and made her “grand” (gimmicky) entrance, the crowd was silent! LMAO…The crowd was so dead and bored…It wasn’t “I’m a Rockstar”…it looked more like, “I’m a superhero”…wtf Rihanna…anyway, lots of gimmicks, lots of props…typical Rihanna show. Everything is there to blind you from her voice…but even all that didnt work…I must say tho, she’s trying to be more energetic and move more, so I must give her props there.
Sorry that you believe people from Belgium are more refined. They party just like us Americans and know quality when they see it (been there). The crowd definitely did not seem to be into her performances. They were way too quiet for a concert. Hopefully she’ll get better because the performances were lackluster. Especially of note was her walking back and forth in the Rude Boy performance and the guys w/ the cameras. They whole thing was tiresome.

In all honestly, I’ve lost ALL respect for Rihanna since this pretending to play the guitar on stage stunt. It is so blatantly dishonest and pathetic. If I were the actual guitarists who spent their lives learning to play like that only to stand in the background while this under-talented pop star deliberately deceives her audience into thinking their playing is actually hers, I’d be pissed too. I hope they’re getting payed handsomely. In fact I hope the entire make-Rihanna-seem-talented team gets paid a whole lot of money for their work.

I really liked Te Amo and Rude Boy. I thought Don’t Stop the Music was okay but I think the song itself is a great song to perform because it gains crowd connection. And the outfit she had on performing that song was cute.
I thought Rockstar 101 was terrible! Idk what it is but when she performs that song it is extremely boring! And the fake guitar playing doesn’t help, LAME!!!!
Te Amo is one of my fav songs on RR and the performance was nice but average (as far as Rihanna) The dancing was awkard as hell! I guess those were the dances she was practicing on that other vid. It looked really wierd and off for some reason.
However the dancing she did for Rude Boy with the backup dancers was a great touch to that performance. She should have done that throughout the performance. That was my fav part because it actually looked really good. They should incorporate more choreography like that into her performances and videos! That was the only time I heard the crowd scream! Do more choreography Rihanna, Please! It’ll really help!
The outfits were a little too revealing. I mean, that thong leather outfit was a little too much! I know the stans would run their mouth if another artist did that but since Rihanna did it it’s fashion, I guess.
Overall, the performances were good, however, there was a whole lot of distractions from the one million props that were on stage. I never seen an artist with that many props! That was waaayyy too much. I guess it helps to keep the focus off of her vocals and lack of stage presence.

I really enjoy Rihanna’s songs but there’s something about her performances that are just boring. Whenever i start watching a performance i gaze off and start thinking of something else or go on another tab without even doing it on purpose. I only really paid attention at the end of Rude Boy when there was choreagraphy, that was ok and on Te Amo even those little steps that she’s doing seem too rehearsed!!

Guys , Rihanna had to do something! No way in hail was she going to do this concert alone, there are about 400 people working on that concert and than she also has people telling her and giving her insturction on what to do. The stage is elaborate and I’m sure cost a lot of money. In order for Rihanna to come out a head on this tour she would have to perform every one of those concert not missing a day. Rihanna team has to pay all of those people and it’s not cheap, traveling expenses, room and board, food and plus wages. Some body out to make some big money and it’s not going in Rihanna pockets. Rihanna has jacked everybody now I guess she is wanting to be the next Britney.

On another note ,a friend of mine is in school in Germany and he went to Belgium to see the show and he emailed me and said it was BORING as Hell! He said people left the concert. He also said people were walking throughout the concert which is a BAD sign. When a concert is good,people are on their feet not wanting to miss a minute…

Her vocals weren’t as bad as I expected them to be, but she clearly omitted the difficult parts and even forgot some of the lyrics. I could even notice a backing track during some of the songs (Don’t Stop The Music for example).
Also, they ruined some songs by using rockier versions of it (Rude Boy and S.O.S. especially).
SHOW AND SPECIAL EFFECTS
I couldn’t almost believe it, but the choreography (if any) was really poor. There were only a couple of dancers, which didn’t impress me. Rihanna barely danced herself as well…
They used a car for the Shut Up & Drive/Fire Bomb performances and some huge monsters for Disturbia but honestly, it’s not that creative and it’s been used a million times already. I did like her dancing in the cage during Don’t Stop The Music though.

I don’t know whether this is really her style, but the outfits look like she’s just picked them from Lady Gaga’s wardrobe. My friend, a HUGE Rihanna fan even said so.
