Toni Braxton – ‘Pulse’ Tracklisting

Published: Friday 2nd Apr 2010 by Sam

The official tracklisting for Toni Braxton‘s latest LP ‘Pulse’ has surfaced. Consisting of 11 tracks, the list below is said to be for the record’s UK incarnation, and will be altered slightly for the US release:

1. Yesterday
2. Make My Heart
3. Hands Tied
4. Woman
5. If I Have To Wait
6. Lookin’ At Me
7. Wardrobe
8. Hero
9. No Way
10. Pulse
11. Why Won’t You Love Me

Granted the absence of tracks such as ‘My Ring Too Heavy’ is a little confusing, I’m still thoroughly looking forward to what Braxton will be serving up with this project. For after a few career duds (see: ‘More Than A Woman’ LP), she appears to be back at her creative best (both ‘Hands Tied’ and ‘Make My Heart’ have been on replay for sometime now).

‘Pulse’ hits stores May 4th.

That’s not final because the song with Mo’Nique is not on there. And she has done all these collabos like with Usher

in that recent interview she said she kept pushing the album due to the leaking tracks.. all these tracks are already on youtube… some of them months back.. :S she even said they’re sending the tracks thru fedex .. hmm..
she did actually choose an amazing 11 songs for the album.. its definitely gonna be a success! im loving every track on there!

I really don’t like it when artists put out albums that have less than 12 tracks because it leaves little room for errors, which means 8 of those songs must be hot tracks and not slot fillers. Very few artists can pull that off.

Just because More Than A Woman wasn’t a commercial success it doesn’t make it a dud album… it’s one of her best, same with Libra!

My Ring (the wave) would make NO sense from a woman going through a divorce… love the song, and love how Toni is handling her personal business but it would be silly for her to bank on a hot song

I actually like Pulse. I have heard both versions of it. Originally, it had at tack listing with Get Loose and Melt, amongst others, but like 7 or 8 songs leaked and she pushed it back and now she has like 7 or 8 more. So total, I have heard like 24 songs from the upcoming album. I have always been a Braxton Fan. From her sisters, Traci, Trina, Towanda, and Tamar their album So many Ways, Tamar’s self titled album, and all of Toni’s successful albums. I am an honest downloader. I have the downloads but I also support these ladies for continuing to put out good music. So on May 4th, I will be copping Toni’s Pulse.

I agree with the braxton fan there, More than a woman LP may not have been a big commercial success, but it was a damn good album… Hardly anybody is singing anymore, and radio is being flooded with 1 hit wonders now. Record companies aren’t looking to put out good music, they are looking for that 1 radio single to put their artist out there. On an album, out of 12 you got 1 radio single, 1 follow up single, 2 that are okay, and 6 album fillers and 2 that are just horrible… So do I want to buy an album that I won’t even play 2 weeks after buying it? No. So if the record company won’t take the time to work with the artists and put out good music, then why should I go out and buy it. That is why I like Toni Braxton. I can play ALL of her albums from beginning to end. How many albums can you say you can do that with now a days… What’s in your CD Deck?

First, i don’t agree that “More Than A Woman” was a dud. That CD had “Hit The Freeway”, “Lies” and “A Better Man”, all of which had more firepower than “Libra”, which really only produced “Please” as a bonfide hit. Had Toni not been pregnant, she prolly would have done more promoting “More Than A Woman”.

“Pulse” jumps off to a great start with the beautifully sung “Yesterday”. I’m not super happy with her decisions to exclude the sweet “It’s You”, “I Hate Love” , the complex “Not a Chance”. or “The Break Up”. Cheers to Toni’s latest effort and we can only hope “Pulse” brings her success next month.

I have never loved an album from start to finish without repeating a particular song..I loved it!!!!!
