In the latest blow to hit Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Bionic’ project, it has today been announced that the singer is ‘postponing’ her world tour. More after the jump…
According to the tour’s promoter Live Nation, the delay is so as to allow Aguilera, 29, to work on her new movie ‘Burlesque’ and promote the album. Refunds are available and rescheduled dates are apparently set to be announced shortly. {Source}
Is it me or does anyone else smell anything fishy? After all it is a little suspect that the tour was effectively called off amidst the poor performance of ‘Bionic’s’ lead single ‘Not Myself Tonight’, as well as the Lady GaGa drama (which by and large has not favoured ol’ Chrissy). It’d be real interesting to see what live show tickets she’d sold through….
I think something’s up with that…. something more than what’s being said. Sucks though, I hope they get it together because Christina is amazing live.

I’m pretty sure the reason it’s being postponed is because of low ticket sales. No one is going to want to hear alot of old stuff performed and no one is going to want to hear new stuff that they haven’t heard yet. It just wasn’t a good idea in the first place. She really needs this time for promotion, anyway.

Her tickets have only been selling for 4 DAYS, therefore I think it is hardly fair to say that is the reason she is postponing the tour. When you look at the dates it is crazy to be in concert every other day and promote a movie. Eclipse, which will be one of the top earning movies this summer, started promoting 2 1/2 months before the movie. I prefer Xtina wait and make her concert amazing rather than rush into it. She has always been a perfectionist and probably realizes how much she will have to sacrifice to make the tour amazing. More power to her. Her album is amazing so far so stop hating!

I’m not surprised at all. Though I love the album and Christina, and I just can’t wait for both the album and the tour, I think this tour was too early! Go on tour a month after the release of the album? How could she rehearse the whole show in a month? And come on! How could she sell out all these huge arenas in a month?! That was just a stupid decision. I think she should go on tour in something like September-October. Just can’t wait!
Sad to say that album is not that great. So disappointed right now.
Bionic is EPIC!! I have never heard any album like this!! SO many great hits!! ALL of the songs are AMAZING! Funny enough the two songs on the album I care for least are Not Myself Tonight and WooHoo. I’m saddened that she delayed the tour! Had tickets to July 25th, look forward to a new date sometime soon!!

This album is a grower for sure. You might not appreciated it on the first few listens but I am sure this album will be in the top 5 when 2010 comes to a close.
It covers all the basics, but it feels like each song is just a taste….like 3 albums in one, but not enough to satisfy.
You know when you go the food court in the mall and the asian lady and gives you a little sample of each dish to tatse before you buy…and then there is too many to choose from? But in the end, you get full from trying them samples anyway?
I think that sums up the ablum completely…It has a great mix of styles: something old, something new and something borrowed. The songs are great, but the album sounds a bit too chopy and doesn not flow right…
Bi-onic’s songs indvidualy get high marks, just not as an album as a whole.
ps: ‘GLAM’ was overy hyped….this in not Madonna’s ‘Vouge’ for 2010. There was not enough attitude…Lady Gaga’s ‘Fashion’ is 1o times better.

Um, the album is mediocre at best and with all the bad sales, bad press, and comparisons, her tour would have been a huge fail. It isn’t like she didn’t know when her movie was coming out people. Sales were really bad and now they have just leaked the whole album hoping one track, at least, will take off. This is really tragic. All their s*** talk, their hype amounted to nothing. All garbage except for the ballads and Glam is not even 1 millionth as good as that jackass producer of her hyped it to be. Awful. Poor Christina. I happen to know that sales projections were not good so she canceled the tour and let the whole album leak. That is what happens when you can’t write your own music or come up with your own style. She needs to go back to school and study music and go back to her old hollywood glamour style. That really suites her well. I hate to say it but, she has really really bombed here and totally disappointed me. I am getting my money back and not purchasing again, which is what alot of people will end up doing. Sad.
Well…I definitely think there is more to the story than this. Probably has something to do with the not so great succes of her first single. Not to mention all of Gaga fame right now! She would never admit it but it is hard to take such a long break and then come back when other artist havde stole your shine.
X-Tina is my girl! I have all of her albums (Stripped was my fav) and I support her to the fullest. I just haven’t heard anything that makes me want tobuy her album yet. I know she has to switch it up with each new project, but I am not so sure I am feeling the direction she is going in. *shrugs*

This album is amazing! I have only heard a few tracks and I am totally feeling “I am”, “You lost me”, “desnudate”, “lift me up”, “prima donna” and “vanity”. vanity is hilarious. This is sucha fun album…when you listen to it get ready to just smile and feel the desire to get up and start dancing. Pure perfection with some sophistication.

Interesting album though I wouldn’t buy it. Stand out tracks for me are the more natural tracks (Lift Me Up, All I need, You Lost Me). The other ones are pretty vain and talk about nothing important; they’re primarily based on s**, and materialism. I really think she’s trying to hard. I’m sure she’s definitely feelin’ the heat, especially with all those new great artists out there. Any who, wish her the best.
