After initially confirming that the latest single from her ‘Still Standing’ LP was set to be ‘Here I Am’, Monica has announced that fan-favourite ‘Love All Over Me’ will instead serve as the album’s next release. Speaking on Twitter, she said:
The people have spoken again…and I ALWAYS listen to the people that love music. My single is now Love All Over ME..so excited…
I’m on the phone with Chris Robinson now changing the video treatment. And don’t worry impact dates AREN’T changing. Thank u guys for caring..
Granted I felt ‘Here I Am’ was the right change of pace (lyrically and production-wise) from first single ‘Everything To Me’, I have had ‘Love All Over Me’ on replay for the longest, hence have no qualms with it being the single. Here’s hoping it does well.

I guess that is a decent choice. I thought it would be better for her to go with “Betcha” with Missy, cause it is an upbeat song, perfect for the summer. Summer is all about upbeats, ballads are more for off-season, but I’m sure it will still be a nice single.

Im happy because its Monica;s season I was looking forward to Here I am as a singe. It wouldve been interesting to hear how its sounding with Trey on there. Im hoping its the 3rd single. love her music , voice and attitude and she is another one of the best in the business.
monica is just so soulful in her singing, and i have not yet ever seen her dancing all over the stage , to get her point accross and shes beautiful. she keeps her self together all of the time and her make-up and hair is always on point.

I personally am glad of the change and the only reason is beacuse i think it’s taken long for the 2nd single to come out already.
Everything to me is classic soul music and did great but it was left out as stand alone single too long and the momentum has faded abit.
Love All Over Me will defo get another number 1 on R&B Charts and also likely out do Everything To Me on Hot 100.
Maybe this time the 3rd single comes out abit quicker and there be a duo single with Here I Am for R&B and Mirror for Pop Charts.

Both songs are ballads so I don’t understand the disappointment.. Plus “Here I am” is boring, no shade.. This era monica is all about big vocals and classics. She needs to remain consistent.. How many times has her idol whitney released ballads? Whitney is known for her ballads and monica is too. Plus, ETM has been out for so long it’s almost like she isn’t releasing ballads back to back. And this is more of a hip-hop ballad.
I know she has made the right decision! This is my fave song from her album as well.
Again I agree with most people who liked “Here I Am”, but honestly even if you look at the Itunes sales more people brought Love All Over Me than Here I Am. Here I am is a great song very sassy and yet sensual, but that “Love All Over Me” that is a certified hit. I remember when she recorded it on JD’s youtube channel and I kept playing it over and over just for the snippet. Monica rocks this song live. Youtube her performing soul sessions…the girl is a VOCAL beast. She does not need the extras she can just be her and thats what I love.

“Love All Over me” isnt my favorite record on the album, i actually wanted “Here I Am”, but whatever Mo puts out from “Still Standing” will be a hit on Radio and the charts. My favorite song from the album was a bonus track called “All I Know”…….boy that song is fire!!!! From the way she sang it to the words….NICE. Check it out guys!
