Published: Thursday 6th May 2010 by Trent

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Mary J. Blige. Now the R&B singer is on her way into the spotlight back with a new video for the 3rd single from her ‘Stronger With Each Tear’ album, ‘We Got Hood Love (Ft. Trey Songz)’, which has thus far peaked at #55 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Check out the sneak peak of the clip below:

I love Mary’s music. I can’t say the same for Trey Songz. He’s mediocre.

It’s not that serious. Not everyone will like the song, it’s their opinion and they have a right to it. The post asks for thoughts and what’s the point if the thoughts aren’t honest?… Even if that means being negative. Personally I think the clip was too short to form an opinion although I think the whole ‘Hood Love’ concept has been done enough (examples that come to mind include Fantasia ‘Hood Boy’, Destiny’s Child ‘ Soldier’, Eve & Alicia Keys ‘Gangsta Love). I know concepts are often used over & over by different artists but this is one that I have no interest in hearing about again.
