T.I. has finally released the 1st single from his highly-anticipated upcoming album, ‘King Uncaged’. ‘Got Your Back’, which features Keri Hilson, was produced by DJ Toomp (Mariah Carey’s ‘I’ll Be Loving U Long Time’). ‘King Uncaged’ hits stores on August 17th. Give the song a listen below:
Although the song sounds like a cross between Keri Hilson’s ‘Knock You Down (Ft. Kanye West & Ne-Yo)’ and T.I.’s ‘Whatever You Like’, it certainly has the infectious melody that should guarantee it success at radio. A recurring beat and catchy hook are keys parts of the formula for a summer hit and this song has both. Welcome back T.I.

Well…it’s definitely catchy…a lil annoying and repetitve after a while though. I can hear it on the radio, it will get a lot of airplay. I guess Keri is the new hook girl now. She gon be singing the hook on every rappers song. It does remind a lil of Whatever Ya Like….but not as good. It will be a good summer song. I really don’t know how I feel about him singing though.
