‘Commander’ singer Kelly Rowland took a stand for her Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams during the New York listening session for her new self-titled LP. While being questioned (again) regarding the status of her friendship with Beyonce, Rowland took a moment to air her annoyance at the omission of Williams from discussion about the group.

Michelle did complete Destiny’s Child. Some of you are saying that you can only hear Michelle in the harmonies! Well, the SICK HARMONIES that some have stated is what made Destiny’s Child, Destiny’s Child!
And she certainly isn’t a flop. She’s received positive reviews on her CD (which was not promoted properly) as well as for her acting chops (more so than Beyonce’s, though not hating on her).
DC3 was unique! It was a group with genuine friends and that is evident by the fact that they are all still close despite the negative rumors going around about non-existent tensions and feuds.

I love it Kelly! Stand by your bandmate! Michelle was not the best vocally, but she held it together and is now a star in her own right. She was smart enough to stick with the group and make her own power moves like being the first Black woman to play Roxie in Chicago and had a successful run in London. Kudos to Kelly for giving props!
