Almost synonymous with the name Beyonce is that of her father Mathew Knowles. Having steered both Destiny’s Child and Beyonce (as a solo star) to the top, Mathew has come to be known as one of the industry’s most recognised managers.
However, new reports are suggesting that Mathew’s increasingly controversial behaviour has caused Beyonce to cease from speaking to him, an issue not only problematic due to their personal ties, but also their business dealings.

Beyonce Knowles is still refusing to speak to her dad and manager, Matthew Knowles, after he fathered a love child with a woman 20 years his junior — and suits at her record label fear the rift could damage her career.
The superstar singer was horrified when it was alleged last year that Matthew had an 18-month affair with 38-year-old Alexsandra Wright and DNA tests confirmed he’d fathered her son, Nixon, while still married to Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles.
Now, sources tell Page Six that relations between Beyoncé, who is very close to her mom, and her father have reached such a low point that executives at her label, Columbia, are worried.
Matthew guided Beyoncé’s career through her days with Destiny’s Child and is still her manager.
But one music industry insider said, “Beyoncé was horrified to find out her dad cheated on her mom. She always looked up to him, and she is very close to her mom, so this has hit her really hard. She is refusing to speak to him, which is making things difficult where it comes to managing her career. Some people at Columbia now think it would be better to move him aside.”

I’ve totally noticed that in all her recent interviews…she has commented on how close she is to her mother. Also, if you look at her Grammy performance this year at the end when she sings “you took her for granted” she is looking at the direction where her father is sitting in the audience. I am glad and hope Beyonce distances herself from her father. I AM A SASHA FIERCE STAN FOR LIFE, but there is so much more to Beyonce than she shows us and I thnk that is because of her father controlling her every move.

@ Freshurbanent, I am thinking along the same lines as you. I feel for Beyonce, but what Mathew’s done to ruin her family will always have it’s consequences moving forward. There is a child and like it or not, they’re siblings. Mathew will always be her father and she can’t do anything about him stepping out on Tina. She has to learn to forgive(not forget) and do what’s in their best intrest. If he’s no longer effective as her manager cut the ties, but if he’s still competent then keep him on board. He have to live with his actions regardless.
However much I hate to admit it, matthew knowles is a f****** good manager, he’s ruthless in a good way and he has made sure that the whole world knows beyonce’s name as a solo artist and not the lead of DC, if she cuts ties with him as a manager…..I dont know how her career will be affected unfortunately

“Separated” for a year. So Mathew & Tina wasn’t together for a while we have seen Mathew at events with Beyonce within that year “Billboard Woman of The Year” and few other places, We don’t know what the reason why Miss Tina file for a “Divorce”, could be that they just grew apart which is most likely, I’m sure it’s not over Matt having another child. Mathew was with that Woman while he was “Spearated” from Tina it doesn’t take a whole year to give birth to a child, 9 months or early. So to say Beyonce isn’t speaking to her Dad over the Birth of the New Baby isn’t True. Beyonce knew her parnets were filing for a “Divorce” It’s just that ‘WE” all were the last to know like always when it comes to Beyonce’s life.
