The differences was the effect and the change in scene especially in the dance part. However, it still disappointing since it took them weeks to edit when previous leak video look just as similar.

Yeah, I’m glad the quality is better, but this concept is still lazy. I’m a “Shiny Toy Guns” fan, so I’ve seen Muto’s work before and some of what he’s done with special effects for artists who don’t have anywhere near as much notoriety or promo as Kelly, so why couldn’t there have been more of a conceptual effort Kelly’s video? If Kelly was going to wear superhero leotards and battle herself like in some type of fighting video game, then why not make it more like a video game with some cheesy word effects (Pow, Zap, Boom) or throw up force-fields or shoot beams out of her hands during the dance sequences?

if you ever read up on payola and how it is a huge force in the radio industry u will see why some artists get radio airplay and some dont. for example, one way that Beyonce pays the radio owning company (theres only one i forgot the name tho) is by giving them really really expensive front row tickets to give out to listeners in exchange for playing her music. and maybe some other stuff like free vacations, for the listeners, or even the dj, or program director of the radio station.
but thats ok, i still love bee, and you must realize this is how ALL people in the industry, get radio airplay. and thats why little artists such as kelly rowland and jill scott (u have her in ur avy) get overlooked; because they dont have the financial means, nor the support from a huge label, to be able to pay these radio stations to play their music!

This video is definitely for the international audience. I would have loved to see a disco ball and a cool dance scene. Overall, it is growing on me and I hope it does well internationally. The song is flopping by music industry standards. It was released on may 18th and look at the chart position. Dance hits are nothing. Beyonce had a dance hit with why don’t you love me in February with zero promotion. Kelly is flopping. This video was weak at best. Her songs are number nowhere. Kelly will flop again. Her stans better not act surprised since she always does. I don’t know why you guys think she’s going to slay. She never has and never will.

The leotard seems to be the female pop star’s uniform of choice. Not very original.

It isn’t that interesting a concept. She is basically dance battling herself and performing the same uninspired dance moves as her alter-ego.
It isn’t very well acted and/or edited. There are points when Kelly is supposed to be menacingly staring down her alter-ego but in actuality it just looks like she is just staring off into space at a spot clearly above the alter-ego’s head.
I’d grade it a C- to be honest…

Girl you’re right I did say I liked the song, but the video was supposed to give it that extra push but the only thing it did was push it in the trash. I said the song was lukewarm in terms of her appeal to the U.S. market. No one in the states is really checking for the girl and this video does not help. She needs to shoot the urban remix video to this song a.s.a.p.

I’m a huge Beyonce fan, but why in the hell are all of her stans in here bashing on Kelly? Yeah yeah yeah…the video isn’t extremely different than the unofficial released version, but damn find something else better to do. Kelly is going to do good. There are some of us in the states who are into dance music so we feel as though we’re being overlooked by her not releasing “Commander” in the states. One thing is for sure though…that “Grown Ass Woman” song is going to be a hit in the states. If you really pay attention to the words you’ll understand. Her label knew what they were doing and I think they listened to the fans by switching the lead single from “Shake Them Haters Off.” I typically don’t give haters any recognition because thats what they’re looking for, but you all wish you could have a video with a budget as big as hers.
Kelly hasn’t had a hit since 02 and that was Nelly’s song. She will not have a hit and once again stop making her out to be this huge star in the UK because she is not. She’s a marginal star not huge.

The first version was not the business, and although this one has “better visuals,” it’s still bad. Which really sucks, because this is a great song, and I hope it does well. This may not be Kelly’s best video, but I’m not gonna sit on here and hope she fails miserably like some of the posters above me are.

Why didn’t the director have better choreography for her. The dance moves were way to slow for a dance song! Maybe this is for a UK audience, because in the states we expect more movement for a dance video to get play.

The director’s concept could have been much better
At the beginning it would have been much better if she came into the club and when the song starts “dance, dance…” as the commander she points to a section and plp start to dance, then to another section and that section dances. Then she started to dance subsequently the DJ (David) appears beside (on both sides) her like a bodyguard and she continues to dance. I was expecting her to work a s*** dress and fling her hair (maybe the big hairstyle that was on the cover). I would have love to see the other Kelly start combating her dance moves when she sings “there’s no other who do it like I do it…” What is up with both ‘teams standing looking at each other at 1:56. What was the point of David running, he is too much in the video and Rico Love. That annoys the crap out of me.
The choreography sucks
You can’t have a dance off and both team are dancing the same routine with similar costumes. That’s pointless. Some sections I don’t get, one in particular where Kelly has her hand like a gun. what was that about? The routine was too repetitive for my liking. I would have like to see some crazy dance moves (just for 10-15 sec.) where she sings “I’m ’bout to act a fool”
Again I hate the latex bodysuit because every female singer is wearing bodysuit that is not unique or creative but kindle predictable,lame and slutty.
The video is ok. It would have been nice if the vogue moves were in double time; it was way too slow. Also, I think that Kelly could have looked better. I really didn’t like that weave ponytail she was rocking. Maybe if it was curly and more full. I think this video shows potential of what Kelly is capable of, especially in terms of dancing and entertaining. Still a fan of hers.
Hot video! Since there are going to be two more videos i think the budget has to be stretched between the 3.. also the song is so hot it doesn’t matter!
