Her album actually deserves to be called epic, it is truly genre bending which I personally enjoy. She always gives everything her little body has to give EVERYTIME she performs and I truly appreciate that. Anyone who claims to love music should go get her album

I’m So Glad she is finally getting some shine, was wondering about her back when I saw her in Big Boi’s video “Morris Brown” for that Idlewild movie years ago.

She is so underrated. I have her album and every song on there is filled with personality, depth, and substance. Plus she is talented.

She killed it, as usual. Even with the poor sound quality of the camera, the performances sounded great.

I hope she blows up and becomes huge like Gaga, she totally deserves it.

I think the thing is with Janelle is she’s going to be an album artist rather than a singles artist – with her stuff you need to listen to the album right through – not like most albums where you just pick out the tracks you like. I like the way she’s fused together different styles to make something that, at least to me, is new. Was really annoyed when I got to a music festival over here to find out that we’d missed her – would love to see her live. Saw the vinyl edition of the album over here – the cover is amazing at that size. Buy the album! and if you’ve done that buy the Metropolis EP with Suite 1 on it.
