Maxwell has announced that the 2nd edition of his ‘BLACKsummers’night’ trilogy will hit stores during winter 2010. The project’s 1st single is expected to be launched on the airwaves as early as fall. Check out what he had to say below:
With the 1st installment of ‘BLACKsummers’night’ being one of the best R&B records made available in years, this news is definitely exciting. Maxwell has earned a lot of respect from both his peers and fans for not buying into fads and remaining true to his R&B sounds. Hopefully he will keep the momentum going with this next album!

Yeah, it should have an earlier release date, cause he has pretty much done enough with the first installment of only 9 songs, but I’m glad he hasn’t forgot about it, cause I was like when this s*** gonna come out.

Jayla you mean well but Maxwell doesnt just cater too grown black mature folks. My girlfriend is from India and she loves maxwell. Maybe my girl got some soul in her? I have a 12 year old son who loves pretty wings and many other of maxwell songs although he doesnt know the meaning of the words he be jammin to maxwell’s music.
