New Video: Wynter Gordon – ‘Dirty Talk’

Published: Tuesday 20th Jul 2010 by Sam

Atlantic Records signee Wynter Gordon has been on her grind for the last few years – penning hits for the likes Jennifer Lopez, Danity Kane and Flo’Rida. Now the 24 year old is set to take centre-stage with her new single ‘Dirty Talk’.

Produced by David Guetta, the song serves as the first official offering from her debut LP ‘With The Music I Die’ (although, longtime Wynter followers such as myself remember the criminally underrated ‘Surveillance’).

The song’s video premiered today. Check out the clip and its unique concept after the jump…

Though not big budget by any means; in an industry which is increasingly becoming renown for its uniformity, it’s great to see an artist thinking so ‘out-of-the-box’  for a video – particularly for a song such as this. Good stuff.

I only like the chorus, but this seriously sounds like a song I’ve heard before

I’m sick of ignorant folks that are so quick to call an artist who is not Beyonce, GaGa or any of these mainstream folks a flop. Just because you do not hear the song on the radio annoyingly every 10 minutes does not mean that the artist is a flop. An upcoming artist myself would not consider the #1 Billboard dance single that I release a flop if it were to happen to me. I know Wynter and she has been slowly breaking into this industry for a while. She has the work ethic of any of these big names that are dominating and mass producing these crazy stans that infest blog sites like this one. With time, Wynter will have herself established.. and you people will still compare her to Rihanna, Beyonce, GaGa or whoever is hip at the moment in an attempt to ward off any up and coming talent that can be deemed as competition. The video is not A-list budget, but what do you expect? However, Dirty Talk is in no way a flop.. so please stand corrected on that one. Anyone that has aspirations to become a vocalist or performer could vouch that being listed on Billboard is not necessarily flopping.

    el floppo!

David Guetta did not produce this song. Jupiter Ace did 🙂

This song..makes me feel wierd. It’s like she’s singing in a sweet voice about nasty things. And the video is a unique ..um attempt. or maybe a triumph, i really can’t tell. Not my style tho, but maybe she’ll do better things later.

I’m rooting for Wynter. She is kinda dope, and she has paid her dues. I really like the song, it’s easy on the ears, and the video is engaging. Team Wynter!!!!

The video isn’t working so I cannot comment on that, but this song is CRAZY HOTT!

Perfect for radio! Hope it gets its shine sooner rather later.

Yes it is GORDON, that’s my last name, and the misspelling of it PISSES me off myself, not DAN or DEN… D-O-N!

wooowww…. not sure what genre of music this is but I’m feelin it! The video was nice as well… the video doesn’t need to be high budget to make a great, in my opinion!

I like wynter Gordan, and I like this song. I hope she becomes an international star. I listen to her music all the time. I am not a big fan of the video to this song. I would have done the video differently.

  18. Richard July 20, 2010

Love wynter, love her music. Atlantic don’t promote her at all, I hate how record labels get a hold on a talent and just lock em away!

Video is is s***, must have cost the camera and silly flowers on her head. If they pumped 50 dollars into her it would have looked better.

One of the best writers and singers though…

This song is great! I really like her, she reminds me of Ashanti.

I’m really glad she didn’t do a regular “high sexuality” video! When I imagined a video, I was thinking she would have went the Kiely Wiliams “Spectacular” root. Thank God she didn’t lol.

  22. Andrew July 20, 2010

People are so negative on this site.

I hope Wynter makes it :]

  23. TBC July 20, 2010

    love it,,,,

  24. raraskils July 20, 2010

    @ Richard

i totally agree with what you said about record labels finding talent and then locking them away from the rest of the world.

    however…
    i liked the video!
it gives the song a deeper meaning
although i wish the ending climaxed a little better (no pun intended haha)

ps-ms.gordon looks crazy hot here! what a body!!!

  25. Andarieg0 July 20, 2010
