Michael Jackson continues to set records even after his death. According to new records, the King of Pop is the most downloaded artist of all time.
Musicologist Geoff Roberts from Nokia’s Ovi Music Store that conducted the search says, “Michael Jackson has always been a pop music legend. But the anniversary of his death and upcoming birthday celebrations seem to have revived Jackson fever as fans rediscover his songs – making him the most popular solo artist of all time.”
He beats out Lady Gaga, Elvis, the Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna for the most downloads. But the U.S. still isn’t where he’s the most popular—it’s India!
There, Michael accounts for 26 per cent of the country’s entire Ovi downloads, followed by the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Finland.
They don’t call him the King of Pop for nothing! Other artists may be at the top of the charts right now, but it takes a superstar to stay there even after death

Nokia has revealed that Michael Jackson is the most downloaded act across the 36 markets where its Ovi Music store is live.
India is the most popular for downloads of the late singer, with the country accounting for 26% of all Jackson-related downloads. The UK was second (15%), followed by Germany (10%), The Netherlands (7%) and Finland (7%).
Beat It emerged as the most popular song from a catalogue of 533 Jackson tracks. This Is It was the most popular Jackson album on Ovi Music, outselling the next most popular album at a rate of 2:1.
Last week, Nokia announced that it was rebranding its unlimited mobile music service Comes With Music as Ovi Music Unlimited

$21.3 vs $21.0 “ONLY” a 300,000 difference …!!!
Here’s what boxoffice had to say(check out who, which demographic, went to see it):
“Lionsgate is poised to be #1 at the box office for the third weekend in a row.
According to studio weekend estimates, The Last Exorcism will rake in $21.3 million during its debut frame. The horror flick is bound to be EXTREMELY FRONT-LOADED, so a #1 debut is very crucial. Exorcism ends the two-week run at #1 of The Expendables, another Lionsgate release.
Takers is not far behind at all, AND IT COULD EVEN MOVE TO #1 IF WEEKEND ACTUALS CHANGE ENOUGH. The Sony/Screen gems release is set for a opening haul of $21 million. Even IF Takers ultimately loses THE WEEKEND, it will likely SHOW MORE STAYING POWER than Exorcism. According to Sony, 48% of the opening weekend audience was male and 52% was female. By age, 51% was under 25 and 49% was 25 and over.

“Sony/Screen Gems’ Takers on Saturday was up +4% from Friday which put the pic at $20.3M for the weekend if Sunday holds. That’s a surprisingly close second-place finish considering it had been tracking so weakly prior to release. This is why Sony Pictures pays Jeff Blake the big bucks. He sent rap star T.I. on 10-city, 20-day tour to promote the pic. According to my sources, Matt Dillon wouldn’t do publicity for it, and Paul Walker was busy making Fast & Furious 5. So that left T.I., who’d just signed a 3-picture deal with Sony and whose Grand Hustle Entertainment was Taken’s producer along with Wil Packer’s Rainforest Films. “Screen Gems told T.I., ‘We’re going to market this movie on your back.’ He went and busted his nuts.” Its CinemaScore was a “B” and its budget was micro. Sidenote — That's the same Zoe Saldana who voiced the same sentiment that Beyonce's X-30-year-old back-up singer said: "white men are the most beautiful men!" So tell me, why should ANY black men believe her in ANY role where she's opposite a black man? Only a freak and/or f***** black man would support Zoe Saldana or the aforementioned 30-year-old X-Beyonce back-up singer ….!!!!
In any case – Kudos to T.I., he got on-his-grind and did HIS thing: tirelessly promoting Takers and also, signing a 3-film package deal with Sony, 'eh?
But this 1st-place can be ours, my-"Team-Breezy Family"; if we so-choose! All we need do, is support Takers as we did yesterday; or even on Friday! I'm trying to keep my posts to a minimum, but let me tell you, if I were to post all of the comments/articles stating/voicing/expounding the amazement that Takers did as well, as it did, I'd REALLY, REALLY HOG-UP this blog!

Also, people have been having to send out warnings to CHECK the tickets to make sure it’s actually TAKERS! It’s like…really? I’m getting flashbacks of that presidential election, lol. Some people love to try and cheat, instead of competing fairly. Anyway, I’ve been seeing a lot of MUCH older people too. Like 70s/80s. I had a feeling that was why they were making an extra effort to come support. They have such a sense of accountability and community that I wish more of the young ppl had. Some people have been tweeting that Takers is in 1st place and the pic next to those tweets, keeps being a white person. I was blasting it as much as I could, but Twitter put me on lockdown, lol. I have to try again in a few HOURS. 🙁
Since Im on Twitter lockdown for a few hours- UGGGH, can someone Tweet & RT that if ppl get to the theater and Takers is sold out, to NOT buy Exorcism. A lot of ppl have been doing that. It’s like dang, buy a ticket to something else, ANYTHING else…if you just have to see something. NOT the competition.

It’s that “Thursday-night showing,” which brought in that $750K, that has pushed, IF THEIR PREDICTIONS HOLD, Exorcist over-the-top by that hair’s-breadth $300,000-difference! So, truth-be-told, Exorcist is NOT a “weekend-premiering movie,” I just DON’T-know what to call it. But one-good-turn deserves another, no? And I’ll tell you what, if “THEY” can count Thursday-night’s receipts, then “Takers” should be able to count Monday-night’s receipts. And as I’ve shown, as the “industry insiders” themselves have noted, horror flicks QUICKLY FADE. Which means, come tomorrow, August 30th’s afternoon, we can PROUDLY SAY, ‘TAKERS #1’ and WE US, ALL-OF-US in OUR ‘Team-Breezy family’ did “yeomen work” to put IT, on top…!!!

Just saw Takers again and the house was packed! The crowd was more livelier for lack of a better word! All ages,races were in the house!People was screaming for Chris when he ran.I loved the entire movie and not just because Chris Breezy was in it but because it was a good movie!
@ Me…I made sure both times that I bought tickets for Takers that every ticket had Takers on it.I even heard someone on Twitter say they bought a ticket for that Exorcist mess and it read Takers,LOL!

@Secret Voice: Tell me about it! That’s how it was when I went to go see ‘Takers’. It was packed and when Chris Brown and TI came on people (mostly women) went crazy! CB got appaulse in his first scene. It was so cute!
@X,Y,Z: I am not gonna say that I am not gonna support another film with Zoe or Matt Dillon in it, but I do find it odd that neither of them were seen at any of the premieres or promotional events. I mean Zoe was barely in the movie, plus I believe she was out of the country working on a film, so I guess she didn’t feel she was needed. Personally I don’t think she was. *shrugs*
I can’t imagine Dillon didn’t show up anywhere. He had a major role in the film and I though that was weird. I wonder if they go forth with the sequel will Matt Dillon and Zoe be a part of it. *shrugs* I hope they can get the original cast.
Paul and Hayden both showed up to different premiers but neither of them mentioed the movie on their twitter pages. *shrugs*
But whatever, the movie is doing really well, and TI, Idris and Chris Brown were everywhere promoting this film so they definitely did their parts! I personally believe because of those three is why the movie did so well!

It’s going to be one of the FEW movies that’ll make money ITS VERY-FIRST WEEKEND!! And given the state of the current-day movie-industry, THAT’S SAYING ALOT …!!!!
