Despite a number of false-starts, Ciara‘s ‘Basic Instinct’ project appears to be back on track. As previously reported, the 24 year old is set to follow-up the Urban smash that was ‘Ride’ with dual-singles ‘Gimme Dat’ and ‘Speechless’.
With both performing well on US radio (particularly ‘Speechless’, which is exploding prior to its official add date), the 24 year is reportedly set to shoot the video for each within the next two weeks.
Regardless of the delays, if there’s one arena you can’t fault Ms. Harris on, it’s her videos. No doubt she’ll ‘bring it’ and then some.

Cici is coming so strong this era! You can’t compare her(or lump her in the same catergory) with Kelly Rolwand, whose been searching for a hit record in the U.S. her entire solo career. As far as Rihanna is concerned, she has nothing on Cici! Ciara was Bey’s biggest competitor in the early part of this decade. I don’t see how Rihanna is suppose to be the more accomplished artist, when they both sold pratically the same thing, or seem to going at a similar rate. Rihanna sold a little over 5 million with 4 albums, while Ciara sold 4.5million with 3. Ciara is honestly way more talented. She has a better voice and certainly has 10x the stage presence! Rihanna’s career has been about hype(i.e. the Chris Brown incident, rumors that she’s sleeping with Jay, being a rival of Bey). It hasn’t been about the music with Rihanna for atleast half her career! Anyway, Cici will bring it with these videos and I can’t wait!

Much like Ciara, Kelly seems to want the success, but not the work that comes with it. If you want to f*** around on the beach then make that your prerogative, but don’t turn around and say in an interview how much you’re working on this album when you’re really not. People want the successful singers to sit down and give the other girls a chance when the others DON’T deserve it. As much as I dislike Keri Hilson, I don’t see her on a red carpet unless she’s performing or promoting something. She’s pretty much had her head down working on her album for the most part. You can’t knock that hustle. But Kelly girl, you’re doing VIBE interviews talking about BFF’s when your album isn’t anywhere near finished? Not a good look at all.
I refuse to support artists who think their name alone is all they have to offer. I’m not buying it. If I don’t see that you actually care about then project don’t expect me too. All that talk interviews is for the birds let me see some action behind it. The few fans she has are fighting for her name when I wouldn’t even waste my time. Stanning for her on that level isn’t earned and wouldn’t be worth it. I don’t know how long she going ride the underdog/ Beyonce wave, but it’s clearly not working if none of the singles she’s released are blowing up. They haven’t even made it to the Top 100 in the fact.
