Things seem to be going from bad to worse with Rihanna‘s new project. Plagued by indecisiveness, the Bajan Billy Goat’s team appear unable to decide which single to release from her latest collection of farmyard hits.

After initially confirming the song ‘Only Girl’ to be the lead single from the rushed record, the model’s team then announced that ‘Cheers’ would instead serve as the project’s first offering. However, in yet another turn, the label have reverted back to ‘Only Girl’ – which is now scheduled to impact US radio on September 14th. {Source}
All this backing and forthing will certainly make the performance of the project that much more interesting to watch. For, it’s clear the label are trying to be meticulous with whichever single they go with. For, Ms. Fenty’s sake though, both the song and album will have to do an ‘Umbrella’ if she’s to redeem herself from the relatively poor performance of ‘Rated R’. She’s still very much a singles ‘artist’; hence if after 5 albums forgettable fast-food singles are all she’s able to shift, she can kiss goodbye to any hope of ever competing with the heavy-hitters (see: Beyonce, GaGa, and co).
