There finally appears to be a worthwhile reason to watch this year’s MTV’s Video Music Awards – R&B star Ciara has joined the list of performers.

Speaking on Twitter literally moments ago, the 24 year old said:
Talk about Ciara injecting some life into what was shaping up to be one dry, crispy show. I mean for all their talents, none of the previously announced performers had me excited to watch; they had either a) performed at almost every award show over the last year (see: Pink, Usher, Eminem) or b) are just plain boring to watch (see: Drake, Linkin Park, Justin Bieber).
In any case, it’s great to see an electrifying performer take to the stage. Wonder what Ms. Harris will perform?

The most fun I had watching the VMAs (in the past decade) was watching Michael Jackson on the big screen behind Janet. Don’t get me wrong she did a fabulous tribute but I enjoyed seeing the videos more. The dancers were meh, eh, nothing special & Madonna’s speech was sincere yet extremely narcissistic and too gatdamn long!!!!!! I don’t bother with award shows anymore. Hope this year’s a good one but I won’t be watching
