That Grape Juice favourite Trey Songz is set to release his fourth studio album ‘Passion, Pain & Pleasure’ in less than one week (next Tuesday / September 14th). Yet with the LP’s preceding singles ‘Bottoms Up’ and ‘Can’t Be Friends’ collectively doing not much of anything on the charts, many are scratching their heads as to what first week numbers the 25 year old will chart with.
For, if one is to believe the crooner’s BET reality show – Songz is a superstar, with the largest of fan-bases. Yet, on the other hand, interest in the record appears minimal.
With that, we here at That Grape Juice want to hear what you think. How much do you feel Trey will sell come next week. (There may very well be something in it for the reader with the most accurate predication…)
I predict between 90k – 100k.

The goal is to grow more as an artist. I haven’t listened to the album yet but I have a feeling its nothing different. I like Can’t Be Friends better though. But didn’t he release an album this time last year? What is with these artist putting out album after album within one years time? Are they making sure they stay relevant or something? Cuz in the end its just gonna make you look tired and people are gonna be annoyed.

Passion, Pain & Pleasure is going to sell 160k in its first week in my opinion because its lead single “Bottoms Up” has reached #20 on the Hot 100 (his third biggest hit) and #9 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. He’s going to #1 on the Billboard 200 because no one else is putting a record out next week and the only competition he would have is Katy Perry, who by her fourth week will probably be selling like 50,000 max.
Besides, PPP has been preceded by a tour which meets 3k-5k people a night, has been Ustreaming and has a reality show which has moderate ratings. PPP is going to #1 and will sell 160k in its first week. I’m sure.
