A new song from Jennifer Lopez surfaced on the ‘Exclusive Tunes S.G. 29’. ‘Run The World’ features her labelmates The-Dream and Rick Ross and is reportedly from her recent rerecording of her ‘Love?’ LP. Give it a listen below:
This is a very simple yet infectious track. The tempo and the beat are easy on the ear with a melody that triggers a singalong. However, Rick Ross’ addition to the record is what really takes it to another level as the tone of his voice meshes well with the arrangement. There is no need to mention the obvious fact that the production resembles almost every song that The-Dream has crafted in the last year (see: Ciara’s ‘Ride’ & Mariah Carey’s ‘Ribbon’) because that is almost expected at this point.
Thus far, I have been impressed with most of the new material surfacing from Lopez’s current studio recordings. If she keeps this up she might very well have another shot at the top of the charts.

out of all the tracks that have surfaced from Jlo this one and hooked on you are the ones that i like. i don’t know if it’s the fact that Rick ross is on this is the reason for thinking that this is good, or the fact that it has a more urban feel unlike the get right and all the other s*** that was forced in ouyr face after the remix Lp.

wow. been listening to this song all day. this is the type of music that made me like jlo in the first place. Urban/R&B songs suit her more than the pop stuff she’s been experimenting with and releasing. Hope here album is more like this and less ‘Louboutins’

This song put me right back in the mindframe of the remixes to “I’m Real” and “Ain’t It Funny”, which are 2 of my fav J.Lo songs! I think the move from Epic to Island Def Jam Records was def a great move and this is def first single material.
& in addition to that, she is officially one of the new judges on American Idol. This is great promo. Hopefully this and “Love?” will put her back on top of the charts and she will be able to reclaim her throne and get her film career back on track
