I’m really tired of the MJ imitators. I don’t care how talented they are. The music industry DISrespected Michael Jackson after he saved it in the 80s. They’ve been trying to replace him in the context of solo artists and boy groups ever since Thriller (lead singer of Soul for Real, Jason Weaver, Bryan from B5, Usher, JT, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Omarion, etc.) and NONE of them could capture his essence or genius!!

Yep!! The part of TWYMMF that gets me every time is the dance break. The shadow/silhoutte idea just emphasized Mike’s dance skills. That video was horribly ripped off by Justin Timberfake in his video for that McDonalds jingle song “I’m Lovin It”

Song is pretty good and i almost always strongly dislike Neyo.. I did laugh at the end because I was wondering why he did not chase after the girl when she got in the cab, i guess he just had to finish that dance number. But then he flew at the end and it all made sense ( cause he has powers and stuff)? Any way, more stuff like this please!

Michael Jackson would NOT mind Ne-Yo paying homage. Michael said it himself that he loves that. Michael also really liked Ne-Yo and really respected his talent. Michael referred to Ne-Yo as “some who really understands song writing”.

Ne-Yo needs to restart and rethink this whole era/album. It’s understandable if you’re trying to release three singles before your album drops but if all three are flops and getting lackluster feedback why continue? It’s amazing how these singers who once made R&B/Soul inspired music attempt to take the pop route only to have it backfire. Stick to what you know. And the whole paying homage to MJ is getting old. He writes a couple songs for Michael and now he thinks he’s the heir to the throne. Ne-Yo sit your ass in the corner and reflect on your decision.

Just goes to show you that most black male entertainers in R&B who try to go “Pop” don’t understand that it’s not something you try to do. Confessions by Usher was extremely successful in the mainstream but he wasn’t trying to sing songs with crossover appeal like those s***** songs OMG and DJ Got Us Falling in Love. Now Usher’s music is whack. Michael Jackson simply recorded songs he felt good about and that had the sound he wanted and he CROSSED OVER!!!!! Now Ne-Yo is singing pop-techno songs like I Just Can’t Stop and Beautiful Monster. They don’t suit him. This song is pretty decent but the whole MJ, long form music videos theme is played out.
