Saturday morning (October 23), Chris sang the national anthem in Washington, DC at the Washington Monument for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Challenge. This event raised money for Special Olympics and Best Buddies International. Afterwards, Chris participated in a Fun Run. Also, don’t get mad at Wire or Mz Rhonda, they are just being who they are. We are eagles looking to soar and they are vultures (ah, ah,ah) being the birds of prey they are. They are always looking to kill or feed on something dead. Anywho, I saw this yesturday. They actually had it on their website before it aired. He handled himself well, he is getting really better with his interviews. There were times last year when I would cringe every time I saw him in an interview because he was so nervous and uncomfortable when he spoke that it was just painful to watch. I guess now that he is in a better place in his life and career he is able to relax and just be himself!! I am so happy for him! He weathered the storm!

OK, it’s time for a lesson in law and about the reality. Firstly, Chris Brown would not have been prosecuted for criminal assault / battery if Rihanna had not sought and pursued a prosecution. Secondly, if she did want to see him shortly after he assaulted her that would not be unusual for a battered woman. Woman that get battered have low self worth and believe they must have somehow deserved it. Thirdly, and thankfully, she proved herself to be a courageous young woman by dumping the low life and behaving as a role model for woman around the world by showing them that they don’t have to accept this kind of sickening violence that is perpetrated against them by men. Fourthly, we have all seen the “mug shot” as Blue Kid so delightfully and rather ineptly calls it of Rihanna. Her face had been battered. Chris Brown punched her multiple times in the face. She looks petrified in that photo. Fifthly, Chris Brown admitted that he battered Rihanna. He did not claim that he was defending himself nor that he was provoked, the latter in any event not being a defence. Any the reason there is no photo of Chris Brown after he attacked and battered Rihanna is because it would not prove a thing. Sixthly, Eminem is not advocating violence against women. Listen carefully to his lyrics. He ridicules “the wife beater who lost his Nike shoe”. And in his song, Love the Way You Lie, he sure isn’t spitting about punching a woman in the face. And finally, you still have answered my question: are you saying it’s okay to batter a woman by punching her multiple times in the face? What is so great about justice in this situation is that Rihanna’s career has gone from strength to strength, whilst Chris Brown will never be able to repair the damage done to his career, and because he is such a asinine fool, he will keep doing nasty things that make people pity him and which will continue to rot his career.

Let me give you an example of what an asinine low life Chris Brown is. Rihanna prosecutes him for assault / battery. He pleads guilty and gets 5 years probation, which reflects the fact that what he did very serious, and which tells you that the court believed he needed 5 years of rehabilitation and punishment. Then he allegedly says to the media shortly after admitting that he battered Rihanna, let’s say maybe a year later, that he was protecting her. How was he protecting her? He battered her by punching her in the face. What lessons has he learnt? Absolutely none. It seems that he is now trying to justify what he did, which shows he has no remorse. Yet another own goal for Chris Brown.
I have one last point before I go and do something worthwhile for others, the alleged fact that Chris Brown is now seeking to justify what he did also tells you that because he has no remorse he is more than possible that he will batter a woman again.

I’m an attorney and for the record, if the situation is severe enough, the “victim” does not have to press charges. The state will pick it up. How else do people get charged with murder? You think the deceased can bring the charge? How about when a child is molested? The state brings criminal charges against the accused in the name of the alleged victim.

Victims of s** abuse can be compelled to give evidence, but this is very rare. A reluctant witness makes a bad witness. What happens is this. A person comes forward and they make an allegation, usually in statement form. They are then required to give evidence in court, of course with appropriate and sensitive special measures to protect them, like screens or evidence given by video link, should this be necessary. If someone refuses to give evidence in court, it cannot be examined and then cross examined, so that you cannot be sure of it’s quality. This means that it is very rare case indeed where a case proceeds without a victim giving evidence. As I understand it is very unlikely that a battery prosecution would proceed if the alleged victim did not wish there to be a prosecution, and Rihanna was not compelled to give evidence against Chris Brown, she chose to. You are seriously STUPID!
Sorry, I should clarify what I have said. If someone pleads GUILTY, which Chris Brown did, there is no need for the victim to give live in court, the person pleading GUILTY by virtue of pleading GUILTY accepts the prosecution case. Or a person pleading guilty can plead guilty but dispute the prosecution version of the facts as stated by the prosecution. This might happen, say, if a person accepts slapping but not punching his girlfriend. If this happens there is a oral hearing of the evidence to determine whose versions of events should be believed. Chris Brown, in my view, pleaded guilty as the evidence was overwhelming and because he was well advised by his lawyers not to contest the case because if he had then all of the sorry, sordid details would have been aired in the public domain, which would have buried any chance he had of resurrecting a career. And the reason why I don’t think Chris Brown deserves a career in music is because he has shown no remorse for what he has done…he is now seeking to justify what he did. He’s a snake, who punched an innocent and beautiful woman in the face, who sports a mind boggling number of very bad tattoos.
