Hip-Hop fans are no doubt counting down the days to the week of November 22nd. For, two of the genre’s most revered figures are set to release their respective LP’s then – Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Pink Friday’ and Kanye West with ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’.
During a recent interview with Hot 93.7, Minaj addressed the media pitting of her against West. Check out what she had to say below…

Although both albums are hip hop, they have slightly different target audiences anyway. Both albums will do really well though.

Kanye has leaked 70% of his s*** anyway. Who’s buying the album? Good Friday tracks are already released as is the Runaway video. Save for 4-5 tracks which peeps can pop on itunes, why pay $14.99 for this cd? Nuff said. As for Nicki Minaj “most revered figure”, WTF? She’s just the atm new flavor newbie of rap. Nicki just needs to go less pop…Your Love, and Check It Out was too much of an overdose.
She needs to release a song that’s more hardcore rap. What pisses me off about this process is that she has more than enough ability (Bottoms Up, MONSTER features!) to create a hardcore rap SONG….
If Pink Friday is filled with songs like “Check It Out” I’m not buying. If she wants to meet the Lauryn Hill comparisons, she needs to go hardcore.
