Rihanna looks beautiful in this video. That’s my own issue with her wig/hair is that sometimes it looks like they comb and groom it well and sometimes it looks like a big mess. I look forward to hearing her new songs; I can usually find 2-4 songs on her albums that are pretty decent.

i do notice that she talks about herself more than the album… & if she does talk about it, it goes like this:

The only “singer” who’s album is completely focused on how she looks versus how she sounds. I’m personally over it. It’s not hate,she is indeed beautiful and fun. But being that this is her fifth album, maybe just maybe she could focus on vocals instead of her hair color.

My friend is always talking about how sexier Rihanna is and how she has hit after hit and i always argue how Beyonce is all that Rihanna is with talent. I even went to the concert with her and although i admit she was good but after seeing Beyonce live twice you become very critical of others performances because Beyonce sets a high standard for performers in this generation. I started taking Piano Lessons 2 years ago
why focus on her vocals when its already established. With that less than stellar vocals as you guys say, she has still managed to sell millions of albums and churn out the hits and is a very successful international star. So why talk about vocals if the interviewer was asking her about her hair color and the concept behind loud. How hasn’t she said much about loud, when she said what the album is going to be about? Do you guys want her to go into details and even sing the songs, before she releases it? If she told you everything what would be there to look forward too. Haters are always trying to start mess.

All I’ve heard from your ilk are Riyodel being more “talented”, more “creative”, more “artistic”, more “successful” than a certain two major female artists she’s being compared to frequently. If you are seriously asking why Grammys do not mean anything, it is because ANYONE, regardless of whether they have talent or not, can win them! How the hell else do you explainn Taylor Swift walking away with the award for Album of The Year when she was up against Beyoncé and Lady Gaga in that category, both of whom released albums far superior to anything Taylor has ever and WILL ever put out? It’s a popularity contest, and whomever has sold more records, has more media presence will take home the trophy, and if they happen to be talented, then it is by sheer luck. If I want to prove why my fave is good, I NEVER bring up Grammys as a way of proving my point. Beyoncé has 16 Grammys… but that means s*** to me, because as talented and deserving as she is, I know she won the bulk of those Grammys in the years that she ruled the charts. If she weren’t a well-known mainstream artist, she would never win all those awards. Like I said, the Grammys, and all award shows in general, are popularity contests, not a true mark of how good someone/something is.

An “entertainer”… then she should be in Cirque du Soleil (and @S***, don’t you use this as an opportunity to slip in a Lady Gaga joke) , not be in the music business. Musical talent means being good at at least one of the following:
1. Singing/rapping
2. Songwriting
3. Instrument playing
Yes, it helps to be great performer, but visuals don’t count as music… it’s strictly the entrainment. You can’t “hear” a visually compelling performance on the radio. If that’s all you’re good at, then you have no business being in music, period. And selling albums means s***, look at Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice.

@ILOVEXTINA…Im sure Xtina wants to sell..But she is a risk taker and I love and respect her for that. She had the same attitude with “stripped” and “B2B” and both worked (although admittedly Stripped is a CLASSIC)! I think where Xtina went wrong is singles choices, even though the music she released was good, music is a business and sometimes you’ve got to be strategic. Nonetheless, you can’t deny someone who has her vocal ability. Am I the only one who could watch her concerts on DVD or youtube for hours (Oh Mother, At Last, ANOM to name a few) 🙂

Well, it was a smaller-scale tour. She had a bigger one planned, but due to poor ticket sales, she had to cancel it, and remap her tour into a smaller one. And Perez Hilton is a two-faced phony b****… anyone who chooses to rub shoulder with him does so at their own risk.

The way she talks seems to be a reflection of two things:
1. She’s not that articulate, and can’t express herself well.
2. She’s not exactly that familiar with what’s on the album.
Rihanna does a good job being cute and focusing the interview on what most people care about, her hair/style and Rihanna herself. Can you blame her?
The red was a great move to get attention, which is what her whole schtick is. It’s not flattering on her, but she’ll change it eventually. She’s an attraction, and an attraction has to stay relevant/keep people talking with something other than their talent and music.
Most people know she can’t sing well, save for a few delusional stans. The real question is if people have lost intrest in her or not, and from the looks of this post she’s still being discussed. In this age, any publicity is good publicity.
We’ll see in november how this era of marketing does to push her and her album sales.

That’s cute, but she isn’t saying very much. No comments on the writing process, development /selection of songs, or anything else. Just a general obvious repetition of a theme we already know about. She even stammers through that.
As far as Chris Brown’s singing abilities: He’s a new age singer. He wines, but he can hit notes and carry a tune. He’s not tone deaf.
2. As far as Rihanna’s singing, it’s obvious that she can’t project, her voice cracks during almost every performance, and she’s usually singing off the key the song is supposed to be in.
There is no debate, and it’s annoying to keep repeating myself when it’s so obvious. I say ‘Delusional’ because it still baffles me (not really) that someone with no vocal talent is a singer by people (aka stans) Now-a-days when people can’t handle an observable fact, they claim a person is a hater, or that’s just their opinion. Someone SINGING OFF KEY IS AN OBSERVABLE FACT. Period.

Chris Brown can sing, period, that is a FACT, and I’m sorry that it baffles you that someone appreciates actual talent (Chris) and criticizes someone who doesn’t have any (Rihanna, she’s marketable, that it). To be honest, we should be criticizing those who have no talent, because it makes no sense for them to even be considered artists. Or even be in the music industry itself. But since she makes “fun music” has a “fun attitude” and is “gorgeous” she shouldn’t be criticized? That is ridiculous!

Because she had a dream to sing, believes in herself, and went after it. Someone else believed in her enough to discover her in barbados, fly her to america, where another person believed in her ( jay Z ) signed her to a label, then millions continued to believe in her by supporting her and buying her music. Why should she not perform or go near a stage when its obvious that many believe and support her talent. IF they didn’t, she wouldn’t be where she is today garnering the hate and envy of so many. SHe dared to go after her dream and it became a success. So why knock her for it. Its quite admirable.
