Released from her gold-certified (and criminally underrated) ‘Libra’ album, the song failed to crack the Billboard Hot 100 as a result of poor promotion. However, ‘Please’ performed relatively well on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, peaking at #36. The video for the Scott Storch-produced track was direct by Chris Robinson.
Braxton shut it down in this video! She was 38 at the time of its release and she looked (and still looks) better than most women half her age. Braxton has a natural sex appeal that never seems forced; a trait that many singers lack in today’s industry. Contralto chocolate.
although she has some good songs i never liked her voice. i just don’t like the Elvis Presley sounding type voice. Love this song though.
