That’s great considering Whitney released 4 or 5 albums and 3 soundtracks… Mariahs released almost twice the amount of albums… Not trying to discredit Mariah bcuz she can sing, but whitney shut Mariah down time and time again (Oprah, Grammys)…. Whitney is Legend!!! Say what you want but you can never erase the contribution she’s given the industry! #ThatsAll
This is why she is and will forever be known as the Voice! Much of her power remains> I’ll even say her voice today is more powerful. It is indeed her consistency and breath control that she has to work on.

But don’t worry: Perhaps these people just saw your insulting performance of I’ll Be There at Michael Jackson’s funeral, are staying away and just need to be reminded of the gifts you used to have.
You are one of the most talented singers that has ever lived. I enjoyed your music up until Butterfly came out in 1998. You then hired rent-a-rappers, deep discounted your failing singles so they could top the charts, attempted to “act” in the worst movie the world has ever seen, made multiple trips to the loony bin, got a boob job that made you look heavy, married someone you only dated for a couple months (just as the last album started tanking), and worst of all, lost the voice you were gifted with.
Mariah, your excuse that you were too sad to sing properly at Michael Jackson’s memorial just doesn’t fit it. All the other performers sounded sad, but at least performed on-key. I would give you credit for other performances, but most of them are lip-synced.
Mariah, you need to take a look at another gifted pop star looking for a comeback: Whitney Houston. Unlike you, Whitney Houston isn’t trying to appeal to twelve-year olds by wearing skin tight clothes and singing songs that sound like they were written in elementary school. Her new single I Look to You may not have conquered the charts, but at least Whitney is remaining true to herself. She also has been retraining her voice: This is something you need to do in order to get back to Whitney’s level.
Here is an outline of things you need to do in order to get your career back on track:
1. Divorce Nick Cannon. Everybody knows the marriage was a publicity stunt that didn’t quite work. Nick will be fine; he can find a lot of prettier and younger women out there.
2. Admit you screwed up with Obsessed. Using your public relations team to say it wasn’t really a single only makes you look desperate.
3. Don’t release your cover of Foreigner’s I Want to Know What Love Is. No matter how good the remake is, a classic like this shouldn’t be messed with.
4. Don’t play 2,500 seat theaters that you are unable to fill. Coffee houses, bars and high school gymnasiums may suit you better.
5. Retrain your voice! It’s there and you just have to find it.
If you read this Ms. Carey Cannon, I hope it isn’t taken too personally. You are a talented woman and it has been sad seeing that talent go to waste.”

The only reason why people paid attention to her laughable excuse of a comeback album was because Clive Davis kept hyping over it since 2004. And did Mariah need a sticker saying “The most anticipated album of the year” on ANY of her cds like S****** needed for I Look to Cocaine?
SO when S****** turns 60, she’ll be like Tina Turner, eh? PLEASE. She has ZERO credibility as a musician. Shes WAS a good singer. Thats all. Without Clive Davis, her career is non existent (ie. Just S******, One Wish for FLOPmas) – care to explain why she had to mentor the X factor contestants WITH CLIVE DAVIS? And her dated music isnt that great either. She’s been singing the same thing over and over. Same lyric, musicality and melody.
Was she a good singer? Yes. Was she the best? FAR FROM IT. There is NOTHING original her vocal interpretations. There isnt a single song that she sung that the world hadnt heard from Aretha, Dionne, Diana, Barbra, etc. before. I can also find you at least 10 people who have the same tone as S****** (Jennifer Hudson, Charice, 13 year old Taiwanese boy, etc.). NO ORIGINALITY OR CREDIBILITY.
The difference between Tina Turner and WEEDney is that Tina’s image is iconic alone. What is so distinct about CRACKney’s image that would be instantly recognizable as Tina’s lion hair, Cher’s straight black wig, any of Madonna’s costumes, Janet’s black army suit, or Mariah’s hand gestures? Hell, Britney Spears, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga are fast surpassing S******’s “iconic status”.

Fans were instructed to take a screen print or proof of purchase and email them to the webmaster. They were then entered into the lottery and then they said, the more songs you downloaded, the better your chances to win. In addition, they were also instructed to loop videos and vote for them incessantly on MTV, VH1 and BET. They were also told to call radio even if they did not live in the city the station was in.
I think this is unjust as Elvis did not have that advantage back in his day and yet he accomplished so much. It’s also unjust for artists especially newcomers who do no have such fansites out there. It is especially troubling that these prizes were given to the fan site by Carey’s camp. She is soon to “beat the Beatles” and again they were a diffrent era where #1s were much harder to attain. Something must be done! This is most certailnly an unfair victory”

And Whitney only has two “flop” albums (ie Just Whitney and One Wish) but even her lowest selling album (One Wish) outsold Mariah’s latest album. What does that say?
And for all those who said Mariah sold more albums: WELL YOU KNOW WHAT THAT’S BECAUSE MARIAH PUT OUT DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF ALBUMS WHITNEY DID. Whitney had 7 studio albums plus a few soundtracks and Mariah puts out one or more album every year. Yet Whitney is the MOST awarded female singer. And all of Whitney’s most famous songs (I Have Nothing, I’m Every Woman, My Love is your love, etc.) did not go to #1 but a song like Touch My Body went #1. That’s a joke! Having more #1s doesn’t mean she’s the more successful singer.

Whitney Houston showed off in these performances. She was a diva in the sense that she was soooooooooooo beautiful. Her stage presence is unmatched. Her confidence and poise was through mesmerizing. Her voice “pure perfection”. I am so happy that I was born at a time to witness this miracle. Houston’s performance sends chills down your spine. Her voice was so pure and majestical. The audience was spellbound and it is one of the best live performances Whitney Houston has ever done. Three powerhouse songs – sung as a triple threat. You love this woman for what she has contributed to the world of music. And the contributions to our lives for having witnessed the 8th Wonder of the world. Thank you Whitney Houston!!!!!

Whitney loved Dorothy Dandrige who stared in Porgy and Bess. Whitney’s hair styles were similar to Dorothy ‘s, I see a lot of Dorothy’s style in Whitney. Both displayed so much class and elegance. She also died similar to Dorothy, The bathroom and naked. I love Whitney for all those beautiful songs. Her Vocals are simply untouchable!! 2 thumbs up for you Nip!
