Burgeoning star Jessie J has announced her first US single.
While the British-bred/US based singer-songwriter is set to release the pulsating ‘Do It Like A Dude’ here on home-turf, she’s slowing things down with her debut Stateside offering – which has been revealed to be ‘Who You Are’.
The song, which you can listen below, serves as the first release from her first studio album also titled ‘Who You Are’ – due via Universal Music/Republic next year.

I’ve been waiting to hear this song in full since I heard it in Step Up 3D. Her voice is AMAZING! However, in the horrible state that US radio is in, they wont play this because its too slow. Do It Like a Dude would be a better US single.
She can SANG…. but the record is TERRIBLE!!!!! She is doing WAY too much! I usually like what she does but this is not a good look as a record…
Good song, but DAMN, she’s not even singing on this track, she’s SHOUTING! I hope this isn’t a habit of hers, I hate it when good singers with great voices subject their vocal chords to damaging techniques (i.e. Christina Aguilera).

DO IT LIKE A DUDE is so much better, although I like this ballad– it won’t sell in the U.S. though.
i rather who you are , she is singing really well but Do it like a dude would work better in the US and who you are would work better here in the uk i mean if pixie lott or alexandra had sang it instant number 1, but she is a force best of luck to her.

This lady can really sing. Not sure exactly how this will do on U.S. Radio with this song being slow-ish. Regardless, hopefully her label will promote the hell out of her so she can receive some attention over here- we need more SANGers making hits again.
