Even though I believe Keyshia Cole is a very photogenic personality, I believe this cover for “Calling All Hearts” is watering down her artistic expression. The little heart symbol and blue lipstick does nothing but distract the viewer from her beauty; without a doubt Cole has strong facial features: a chiseled jawline, light skin that is a dream and a beautiful (new) smile. But, the portrait, as if she’s reflecting back from the past, suites her “Different Me” era better.
I have loved all her album covers but this. THIS IS SAAAD. BEYONCE WOULD NEVA!

KEYSHIA IS DOING TOO MUCH AND NOT ENOUGH AT THE SAME TIME. “I AINT THRU” (NO). “LONG WAY DOWN” (YES). THIS COVER (NO). I LOVE HER NEW SINGLE “LONG WAY DOWN”. IT SO REMINDS ME OF HER LAST BIG ALBUM ‘JUST LIKE YOU’. I DON’T CARE THIS COVER WITH THE LIPSTICK. I WOULD HAVE PREFERED SHE TAKE IT BACK TO THE CLASSIC DAYS AND MADE IT A LITTLE JAZZY. POSSIBLY A BILLIE HOLIDAY INSPIRED COVER, SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THIS IS JUST TOO DAMN GHETTO. I KNOW KEYSHIA IS HOOD BUT THERE IS A SUCH THING AS MERGING HOOD AND FABULOUS. MARY J. BLIGE ANYONE? YEAH. Did Benny Boom direct the album cover too? No Keyshia, there is too much going on in this album cover. Needs to be more simple like her “Just Like You” album cover. Here’s the thing Keyshia. This is your 4th album and many people outside of the urban audience still don’t quite know you yet. Not saying you need to sell your craft to the dance craze, but you just need to step EVERYTHING up this time around. I want to see you beyond number 7 on the Hip Hop/R&B charts, I want you to be taken seriously, and this isn’t helping.
