Awww, she cut out the second verse. She’s getting better at performing this song. I still like the David Letterman performance the best. The live band on Letterman was off the hook. Nicki’s outfit is so chic and appropriate for daytime television. I really like how she is recognized for going to SCHOOL. I wonder if she is interested in going back to get her B.A., MBA and Doctorate. She would be so cool on a “cooking” segment.
Ok, I saw this live and it seems that all the video clips have edited it out. Regis, after stating that her dress looked like a band around her, slapped her on the ass. That’s right Nicki, get that promo! Her performance was WAY better than the one on… was it Letterman? She probably reviewed the tape or even went on the blogs, found criticism, and took that into consideration when preparing for this performance. She wasn’t as stiff as she was in other performance and she looked very cute. LOL. She’s a mainstream and soon to be international star and say what you want but she’s making money and being a class act. Where the f*ck are any other of the hatin ghetto female emcees? If this is the Queen of Rap then something is really wrong. She is an amazing business woman no doubt about it but when it comes down to the real matter at hand, her music it is lackluster. Excusing the pop beats on her album she does have some really decent lyrics on alot of her songs, so hope the success of this album allows her sophomore album to carry a lil’ more grit for the hardcore hip-hop fans who are trashing Nicki for branching too left field in her sound.
My personal view is albums like Foxy’s Ill Na Na & Lil’ Kim’s Hardcore (Classic’s) may not have generated the sales in this era of music so Nicki Minaj had to have a different slant on her outlook to build some sort of longevity for herself. Female rap needed a revival and Minaj has opened a door again.
