   Chrisettle Michelle has the most perfect face I’ve seen in a long time.

   Whether she loses weight or not, facially, she’s possibly the prettiest of all the young singers with the exception of Janelle Monae.

   That fact is…no matter how amazing her voice is she needs to lose weight! there is a double standard when it comes to overweight black female artists compared to their white counterparts…..Adelle anyone??

    You are clueless. The most successful black women in Hollywood fit two profiles: Light Skin or Fat -and-Happy.

    FAT & HAPPY – Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Oprah Winfrey, Mo’Nique, Missy Elliot, Sherri Shepherd, Gaborey Sidibe, Jordan Sparks, formerly Star Jones and so on. Although many of these women lost weight, they reached their peaks during their “fat eras.”

    LIGHT SKIN A-LIST: Halle Berry, Beyonce and all the others.

    Brandy and Whoopi Goldberg are the only two black women I know in the U.S., that have reached pinnacles and were neither fat nor light skin — Brandy (same all-around media success of Beyonce in her teens) and Whoopi (Oscar, Tony, Grammy, Emmy).

    Chrisette Michelle can lose weight if she wants, but she can reach a career pinnacle with weight on her.
