In other Nicole tidbits; does anyone knows what happened with ‘Poison’s US chart position? For, despite performing well here in the UK (#3), I’ve heard nothing of the song’s performance on her home-turf. In any case, how her next single fares will be interesting to see. Look out for it next month.

“Poison” reached #3 here not #2 and that hair is a major fail. hope her new song is god coz i kinda liked “Poison” lol

“Poison” seems to be doing well all over Europe but she’s yet to release it anywhere else. I think, personally, that she should hit Australasia with “Poison” and then release a 2nd single. I like “Poison”, but I really don’t think “Poison” would do well in the US.
The 2nd single, which is called “Don’t Hold Your Breath”, is HOPEFULLY another dance song but more US-crafted because I think she’d get a hit here too, if she actually promoted the hell out of it like she did with “Poison” in the UK.
She released good songs back in 2007 when she first tried to kick off a solo career, but her promo plans were nonexistent. Performances on TV programs really can help.

I really hope she doesn’t give up on the US. She may become really famous in Europe, but if she aspires to reach mega-success, then she really needs to expand her horizons.
The reason why she never became famous in the US was because she didn’t promote her music well. Also because she made urban music which really hasn’t been the most successful type of music in the US for quite some time.
Now that she has RedOne on her side and is releasing dance music, she could make waves in the US with the right promo plan.
She has the potential for superstardom, so I sincerely hope that she doesn’t give up on the US market.
