A new song from Kelly Rowland surfaced today. The unmastered ‘Hangover’ features singer/songwriter and was reportedly recorded during the studio sessions for Rowland’s new album due this year. Listen to the song below:
With the exception of the unnecessary auto-tune, this song is a winner. The beat goes hard and melody of the hook is very catchy.
There is still no word as to when Rowland will finally release this new album but records like this are what she needs to ensure that it is a success. She needs to forget about satisfying the Urban audience because Pop music is clearly her niche. Compare this song to ‘Rose Colored Glasses’ to see what I mean.

I don’t understand what makes pop Kelly’s “niche” when its a territory Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna, Katy, EVERYONE already dominated. I was with her with the house/dance groove, but she’s starting to fall into the generic pop category which will still end in low sales for Kelly.

@Amazing Lee, I have to stand with you on this one. I wasn’t moved and I think Rihanna would get a lot of flack if she did this song, when she’d actually do it better. Seriously though , I don’t know what it is that makes this pretty average. You can tell that Kelly and the guy that’s featured have great voices, but she still hasn’t got her hands on a big hit yet!

Ok so I just heard it on another website, and its ok I guess. This definitely a demo as stated by Trent, because Kelly’s vocals weren’t even on that much of the track. This track might even be for a male solo artist, because I noticed how much Andre is singing on it.

I love Kelly Rowland and want her to succeed but this track is so damn wack! The melodies are weak and the lyrics are so stupid! Why is she talking about that overrated and shameful topic…. getting drunk and not remembering what she did? This sound is so 80ish and would flop in the US. Nobody over here is checking for this outdated sound and I’m not too sure people overseas would care for it either. “Forever & A Day” was the s***! Man oh man, that single was brilliant. It had such a beautiful electro, pop sync beat with lovely, powerhouse vocals. And Commander was a wonderful club track. It was so robust and unique! Kelly f***** herself up. She looks beautiful in that pic, but I don’t have high hopes for her.
