As earlier reported, Pop vixen Kelly Rowland took to the stage at Jet Nightclub is Las Vegas this week. Footage of the 29 year old star performing an array of her hits has since surfaced.

While both performances lacked much movement (unsurprising given the intimate staging), kudos to Kelly for truly stepping it up with the vocals. Having tapped into a deeper register while performing as of late, she’s been consistently serving up solid and controlled vocal showings – something this performance can certainly boast of. Good stuff.

I’m beginning to notice an improvement with her vocals as well. Her voice is probably getting better because she has more vocally challenging songs, and because of the fact that she’s performing more. She sounded great, especially while singing “Commander.”

I’m very proud of her. She seems primed and ready for big thangs in 2011. I can’t wait to see what she and Universal Motown have planned for the public; haters and all. As long as she maintains this new-found uninhibitedness during her performances she’ll continue to kill it. Kelly is not playing this time around. You can see it in her expressions and her body language as well as hear it in her voice. The girl is BAD. I’m ready for that album.
I love Destiny’s Child! But Kelly is like, not doing anything with life. Still singing the same songs? Still milking Destiny’s Child? How many times has she sung Survivor in her life and she still sticking to her same routine? She had two albums, yet still singing Destiny’s Child songs. C’mon man. Step it up Kelly! You getting lost in the sauce.
