Same old, same old. Same old boring R&B video formula…but same old yummy looking Trey, so I do not mind.
Influence and copy are absolutely 2 different things. Everyone in the music industry has an influence. Yes R. Kelly is influenced by Marvin Gaye, Ron Isley, Sam Cooke, Mj, Prince etc. The same way these young RNB cats of today also cite R kelly as one of their influences. Some even sample one or two of his songs but still try to have their own style which is all good. Its all respect.
If Trey is influenced by R. Kelly then its good for him. But its hard not to say he is not copying him. I mean his songs and his sense of style of today is all R. Kelly. Kellz calls himself “a flirt” trey says he is “Mr steal your girl” One could easily over look this but this was the same guy that went about talking about Kellz and making a whole diss track directed at Kellz.
He shouldn’t expect to get love from anyone because he started the hate. What he says today or tomorrow doesn’t matter because the public don’t forgive celebs that easily.
He needs to find his own style and leave the whole R. Kelly thing behind because its hard to keep up with Kellz. Then he will gain more respect.

Always liked this song, glad its released to the masses, a Troy Taylor production… So its bound to be a quality slow for all those who know if his producing talents.
I do like some Trey tracks on PPP and previous albums.
Trey’s lack of vocal range, tone and personality appeal may let him down going forward.
Tone of voice does not strike me as something we all will eagerly listened to in years to come.
Trey is not really up there for me, basing this purely on sales just does not make any sense at all. Record companies invest more money on acts like Trey, rather than Tank for example, and they are both on the same label….
So saying that Trey is a better artist, or more talented than someone like Tank, or any other male artist out there is pretty false in many ways.
It is not a level playing field, at some point Trey will get de-prioritised if he does not bring in big numbers from all the money that has been pumped into his campaign.
What i am saying is, that trey is a good artist, like hearing some of his tracks, but saying he is the answer to everything that R&B, on a much higher level talent-wise than anyone else is just not true.
Just calling it how I see it…
Trey is trying to keep it classy. It does seem like he will atleast accomplish that much with this video. I just don’t know how much he can offer as an artist that has a mediocure singing voice and lacks any stage presence and showmanship. I think this song is pretty average. I’d prefer “blind”, I’m growing tired of seeing Trey romancing everything.
