I see what your saying. I don’t know too much about her, and I don’t care for the way she tries to sell her image/brand herself, and has jumped on the electro-dance-pop-i don’t care about anything important I just want to be funny, cute, party and dance-bandwagon, but I have been impressed by some things, one of them you mention:
She writes and arranges all of her songs (I may not like them, but she’s not a robot)
She had a few set backs, and nothing was handed to her
She has an intrest in sexism and has written songs objectifying men (she should move beyond that an be against all types of objectification but it’s a start)
I get the profound since that she’s putting on a show all the time, and i’m tired of artists doing that. Sell me music, not an package that includes music.

Ke$ha is my guilty pleasure. She’s like the artist you don’t admit out loud to liking and taking seriously(kind of)! I find her to be more authentic than Gaga (and her music is way more likeable). I’ll probably lose credibility here since I’m dowing Gaga and not Rihanna, but in all fairness Rihanna has done too much to be made out to be the lesser artist. She’s not always great to see live, but she holds her own where it counts. Anyway, great video by Ke$ha!

Best video ever. Anyone who says vocally Rihanna beats Kesha obviously didn’t see them both live. Rihanna is prettier but her voice was off key and thin. Kesha sang good. She messed up some parts but Rihanna was embarrassing. Look at her Grammy performance. She sounded worse than a karaoke singer. Anyways, funny video.
