That was incredible. It’s obvious that the older JoJo gets the more impressive her range becomes. Here is hoping that she gets her label situation together and she finally gets the attention she deserves.

JoJo has sooooo much depth and versatility to her voice, talents, and interests that I think that she is often pigeon-holed as being a white-pop artist, when the girl is clearly more than that. Being a pop artist has its financial benefits, but I would love to hear more music like this from JoJo as she can actually perform these songs extremely well. JoJo can sing her ass off (did you hear her play with her falsetto, lower-notes…the octave changes, and riffs…JoJo is a beast). This is what you call a vocal performance…she is just not singing a song well (which some top artist do…just sing the damn song, without changing it up…not saying any names – but you know who I’m talking about), JoJo is using her voice as an instrument to create a beautiful and complex sound – amazing! It would be amazing if Jill Scott writes a song for her, because I think that it would be a beautiful song!!! All in All, Team JoJo 🙂

That was incredible…, vocals were the blatant truth.
The main thing aside from the amazing technical ability was that Jojo clearly felt it and sang the words from within in a way that most stars irrespective or vocal prowess simply don’t. Developing one’s range and control is one thing but imbuing your singing with heartfelt passion, charisma and self is quite another. I don’t care whether you sound like Macy Gray or Aretha, just sing it with soul.
It’s crazy that many of you on here are arguing about JoJo/Beyonce, when JoJo basically idolizes Beyonce, and occasionally tweets about her.

Too much screaminess, but overall very very nice, I specially liked her low notes and her runs, very tasteful.

Now, for everyone else going off about who can sing better than who – let me break it down for you:
JoJo just turned 20 a couple of months ago & has 2 albums (both from when she was a tween/t***)
Beyonce is turning 30 this year (so when JoJo was 10, Bey was 20). Beyonce has put out 8 albums between DC & her solo stuff
Jill Scott is 38 years old (old enough to be JoJo’s momma) and has 7 albums under her belt.
Singers get better with experience & as they develop. When Beyonce was 17 or 20 or 23, she didn’t sound as good as she sounds now.
Now, if JoJo sounds this good at 20 with no formal vocal training, imagine what she will sound like as she practices her craft. She is still a baby and growing.
Even if you take Rihanna, this is her 5th album!! Now, she sounds better than ever but her voice has definitely gotten better with time and formal vocal training as well.
All I’m saying is JoJo is a natural vocal beast. She is 20 people…watch what happens if stupid Blackground gives her the platform to grow.
