I think I remember me is the best record. It sounds so much like Bey though. It’s a good song.

    I like it. 🙂

  7. Hlove March 16, 2011

She should release I Remember Me as her next single. Believe is just BREATHTAKING and Why is It so Hard is also a single potential.

  8. UGh March 16, 2011

No One Gonna Love You – my fav

album is just okay to me

  9. Prince&Queen March 16, 2011

I Remember Me – Amazing song, radio friendly, shouldve been 1st single!!
    Everybody Need Love- Amazing song,Classic

  10. LEGENDTINA4LIFE March 16, 2011

I still cant stop listening to Spotlight

  11. lafrench March 16, 2011

hmm… i see i’m the first one who can’t get into her album and think it sounds awful.

  12. Tru Voice March 16, 2011

Don’t Look Down – is a winner!!!! I like it the best
    Angel- is good
Where You At- is okay, never was single material IMO
Still Here- cheesy but a good ballad, a la I Didn’t Know My Own Strength it should performed for some type of tv special, maybe for Japan or something
Feel Good- I keep thinking the Weight Watchers Commercial lol
I Remember Me- should be a single, very contempo
I Got This- hmmm, it grows on you
Everybody Needs Love- I like it
Believe- it’s like a 2011 modern day Negro Spiritual

Overall it’s an okay album. I don’t know what it is But it reminds me of Whitney’s last CD “I Look To You” I get the same vibe, like it’s a solid effort but not stellar bet has a few gems and radio-friendly tracks. It’s a good solid CD album, I would buy it. She has some “fell-good” songs on here too, great for a get-together.

  13. Tru Voice March 16, 2011

    Meant *feel good songs lol

  14. FMB March 16, 2011

The only song i LOVE is No One Gonna Love You; the rest are just okay. i really try to like JHud, but then she delivers music like this. SHE IS NOT WHITNEY HOUSTON: J Records needs to stop trying to make her the new Whitney and let her find her own musical identity. A majority of the songs sound like Alicia Keys-leftovers. This album just sounds soulless (big voiced does not equal soul) and generic (i’m recording these songs to win awards, not because they’re who i am or are memorable). I’m still a fan though.

  15. Jasmine March 16, 2011

I can’t get into this album. I don’t know why. I’ll give it another listen tomorrow at work.

  16. FBINX March 16, 2011

As much as I like jennifer. They only song I like is angel. Nice old school vibe. I agree that arista needs to stop trying to make her the new whitney houston. The material is okay and just okay. I just want her to find her muscial idenity as artist. 2.5/5 overall

  17. LaFrench March 16, 2011

    FMB summed it all up.

  18. NiqueW March 16, 2011

After reviewing the album, in my opinion it lacks EVERYTHING! The worst I’ve heard in a long time. Where you at is absolutely the best song, and even that is lackluster, Jennifer I love you darling, but I think you need to stick to making movies. Those little beats behind your vocals is HORRIBLE and Distracting. Too much going on. Now I have a damn headache.

  19. Criss March 16, 2011

Dang. Where U At’s the best song. That aint saying much. I listen to the most loved songs ppl have mentioned like Dont Come Down, I Remember Me and Track #1, and they all disappoint and bore me. Jennifer deserves better songs than this. FAIL.

  20. Criss March 16, 2011

And just to add, I dont know. I think Jennifer would do better singing Gospel music. Maybe that’s her lane. But this just aint working.

  21. Robier March 16, 2011

I’m glad she is getting A lot of good reviews. People like this cd

  22. flop March 16, 2011

    Jennifer DUDson more like

  23. flop March 16, 2011

    jk guys. Jennifer SMASH-HITson

  24. Fran March 16, 2011

I really like the entire album, my favs. “i remeber me”, “angel”, “i got this”, “gone”,”where you at” & “no one gonna love you”.
I agree with the guy who say arista need to stop trying to make her the next Whitney!!! no one will ever be like whitney houston…

  25. Jay March 16, 2011

I must admit that I was a worried once I heard “Where You At”…But after listening to this album, ITS BANANAZ, and i mean every track is solid (other than ‘Where You At” lol). It is soooo much better than her first album, and she will definitely garner a grammy with this one! You can literally place her CD in and listen to the entire album….This is what I’ve been waiting on Jennifer to do! DEFINITELY BUYING TWO COPIES lol!!!

  26. KD March 16, 2011

This album is a clear indication why she did not win American Idol. She has a powerful voice but the material that she records just falls flat. The only song I gravitated to on the album is Still Here…but I have to say that Natasha Bedingfield sang it better.

  27. AREIS March 16, 2011

This album is truly boring i listen to the whole thing, i wish this cd went in a different direction. Its giving me the same as always …. Sorry will not be buying.

  28. sugarwall March 16, 2011

    @areis, i second that emotion!!!

  29. HALF AMAZIN March 16, 2011

THIS ALBUM IS CLASSIC CONTEMPORARY R&B MUSIC WHICH YOU TWEENS KNOW LITTLE ABOUT.

THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS CYCLICAL. TRUE R&B WILL RETURN BUT ONLY IF PEOPLE ACTUALLY MAKE IT. GOOD JOB JEN.

SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN A FOOL TO TRY TO MAKE THE AUTO-TUNED, NICKI MINAJ FEATURED, EURO-POP DANCE MUSIC THAT DOMINATES THE CHARTS NOW. SERIOUSLY RIPPED TO SHREDS FOR THAT!

  30. Just Sayin March 16, 2011

I love this album, Jen is amazing!

  31. Robier March 16, 2011

    The album is very good.

  32. whatyousay March 16, 2011

Sorry I’m from the old school r&b era and this is not it. Yes Jennifer has a strong voice, but why is it like her label alow her to take left overs from Alicia that better suite Alicia’s voice. Jen is doing a lot of screeming in her vocal’s and it’s anoying. Where u at written by R. Kelly is a nice song and Jen made it her own. For the rest of the songs I’ve heard she didn’t take the songs and made it hers, she just sang and screem the vocals. A couple of the songs there was to much going on behind the vocals that was very anoying. However I wish you sucess. Jen maybe you should go the gospel route.

  33. T-Sparkz March 16, 2011

This is a disappointment. I thought she would come much harder than this. These songs are very forgettable. There are only like 4 songs that i remember.

  34. FMB March 16, 2011

Also this album feels contrived, like they make it specifically to win Grammy’s. (Let’s just throw together some “inspirational” songs to win over the critics).

  35. Gladis March 16, 2011

This album is great. Maybe you all are looking for that pop euro type garbage…You can go and listen to Beyonce, gaga, Katy, and Rihanna for that mess. This is nice. I like Don’t Look Down, I Got This, Angel, Still Here, Everybody needs Love, and Where You At

  36. Miguel March 17, 2011

I’m buying this album no doubt!

  37. where you at March 17, 2011

    @FMB
ARE YOU AN IDIOT ARE ONLY SOUND LIKE ONE??

  38. Keith March 17, 2011

I am not sure how I feel. On one hand, I like the songs except “Where You At” (the bad grammar kills me) but on the other I understand what other posters are saying about the songs being forgettable and throwaway.

“No Ones Gonna Love You”, “Gone”, “Dont Look Down” and “Angel” are my favorites so far….Much better than the first CD, though.

  39. Hell No March 17, 2011

All J-Hud’s songs have been epic growers. I remember the first time I heard Spotlight I was like WTF, but now it’s one of my fave songs – the same can be said for her whole first album. Let this album grow on you before making judgements.

  40. Kamari March 17, 2011

Come on my people (referring to the human race)!! Give “I Remember Me” a chance. No she doesn’t have any club bangers but her album is gonna do well. This album is definitely a grower and has quality. She can out sing most of ALL her counterparts and she has shown that. Let’s support her on 3/22/11!!! Go Jen! I Remember Me is my anthem for the year!!

  41. Phillip March 18, 2011

Love her, this album (along with her first) shows that she is the true winner of Idol. She emproves each step she takes. Whether it is her amazing academy award winning acting career, her inspiring weight loss, her powerful voice- she continues to prove why she is here. She is one of the very few artists to date to know what the true meaning of music is about. She sings from the heart. I LOVE every song on this album. My favorite out of them all (AT this moment) is ‘Where You At’ (many people’s mentality can not comprehend such a music masterpiece, for if you have not gone through this emotion, then you can not relate or understand the true meaning of this song.) Great job Jenn! Keep it up! I loved you since Idol and I STILL love you!

  43. Malik Shakur March 22, 2011

I was not impressed with the first single and kinda thought this was going to be a waist of my time. BUT If you remove that song and listen to the album its REAL MUSIC. Its the journey that I have not be able to take in a long long time with what they call music. with 200,000 songs in my iTunes Library and 40,000 in my iPod this Album is the SH**.
