While Mathew Knowles‘ dismissal as Beyonce‘s manager continues to make headlines, the ripple effects of their business split is starting to become apparent. A ripple effect which has had unfortunate consequences for talented young vocalist Tiffany Evans.

The ‘Promise Ring’ singer, who had been jointly signed to Music World / Columbia Records, has seen her partnership with Knowles’ empire terminated in the wake of Beyonce’s departure. Speaking on the severing of ties, Knowles said in a statement:
We will also continue to develop the Music World family of labels: Music World Country/Compadre, Music World Kids and Music World Music. In Music World’s repositioning it will not continue its label/management role with Columbia/Sony artist Tiffany Evans. {Source}
Sigh. It was just the other day Ms. Evans was gushing to Mo’Nique about the benefits of being signed to Mathew. Still, for all his success with Beyonce and Destiny’s Child, Knowles’ current roster boasts not even a fraction of the star-power those acts have. A fact, which when considering the viability of Music World today, speaks volumes.
In any case, here’s hoping things work out for Tiffany (who remains signed to Columbia). She’s too talented for it not to.

It was just unfortunate that she suffered the reprecussions of it all. Obviously her role on the record label was on Beyonce’s behalf. It’s a shame really, all these artists sign with Matty in hopes that their career will be half as decent as Bey, but it NEVER falls through. Yes, Tiffany is a good singer and very humble and NO she doesn’t deserve this. Put it this way, it really is to her benefit because regardless if she was on the label or not, she wouldn’t have gotten far with Matty anyway.
I remember when Tiffany Evans announced that she was under Mathew Knowles management her twitter TL and the blogs LET HER HAVE IT but she INSISTED that she knew what she was doing…poor lil tink tink that young lady needs some guidance in her career choices she better run over to Clive Davis STAT.

Damn this was quick! I wasn’t really sure if Matthew Knowles could make his career take off like he did with Bey, but I did think that he could do something with her & that it would last longer than this. He was only her manager for what, three or four months. Geez.
Like someone said earlier, she is incredibly talented. Her voice is beautiful & its a shame a talent like hers doesn’t get more recognition. But at the same time I think a lot of her material has been boring & she is struggling to find her spot in the industry where a ‘look’ and cute catchy pop songs are what get you more attention. Its tough out their for a lot of true vocalist. *shrugs*
I have faith in her. She is sooo young & talented and its not too late for her. Hopefully she will find the right management and with the right material she could go far. I’m wishing her luck!

I don’t get why she can’t just work it out with Columbia Records and release an album under Columbia directly since she is no longer with MusicWorld.
I always think it is a bad idea for an artist to be signed by a company owned by their management. That means that your management has complete control of your recording career.
She should be happy that that is over and speak with Columbia Records to see how she will fit in with their plans.

It may be for the good.

Anyway, I like Tiffany’s attitude and she seems very articulate, but her signing with Mathew was a stupid move. Even people on the damn blogs knew Mathew would not do anything for her career. She probably was being overly optimistic since she knew he was Beyonce’s father. Hopefully she can find a label, manager, and publicity who will know how to mold her career.
