Jessie J Performs ‘Party In The USA’

Published: Monday 25th Apr 2011 by Sam

While Jessie J continues to amass new fans across the globe, longtime supporters will know that her journey really took off after Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party In The USA’ rocked the charts in 2009. For after initially penning the song for herself (to celebrate her move from the UK to US), J instead sold the song to Cyrus – who went on to hit #2 with it on the Billboard Hot 100.

Now a chart force herself, the British-bred star gave a nod to the single by performing it during a special set for iHeartRadio recently. Check out the 22 year old’s rousing rendition of the track, along with current UK single ‘Nobody’s Perfect’, and more, below…

Jessie J’s debut LP ‘Who You Are’ is in stores now.

She was sharp during Party in the USA which isn’t usual for her, looks like she had problems hearing herself though because she plays with her ear monitor straight afterwards.

WOW, off key, that was not cute
But I’ve heard her sing 100 times better than that, she is really talented, it’s just that this particular performance is not good.

yet another artist which is obsessed about the U.S, and breaking into the U.S charts while they promote over there sales and new singles dont do as well in the UK maybe she should focus on getting it a 100% right here first before running off to the U.S like Leona Lewis 2nd album total flop due to her obsession on america. I wish British artis would stop it, its getting broing, I like Jessie J but i ante got time for artis that do this its like there putting two fingers up to the UK, i understand trying to get into the U.S charts yeah biggest charts in the world, but really bore off

I am by no means a musician nor do i have a train ear but its obvious that she went off key. That said, I enjoyed it none the less. Its a great song period, its hard to do it “badly”. It was written well so i guess that stands to her credit.

I don’t think jessie’s sticking two fingers at the uk. She just being smart. Right now there is alot of hype around her and she’s taking the opportunies that come her way.Simple.

Iam very proud ‘Who you are’ got to No.11 in america, hopely it will chart higher in the coming weeks. WOOOOP!!

Its important to crack world wide and she’s doing it. WOOOP WOOP love her!
