Britney Spears may be unable to sing her own songs these days, yet that hasn’t stopped fellow Pop force Rihanna from enlisting the 29 year old for a remix to her latest single ‘S&M’.

Speculation of a Fenty / Spears duet has been gathering steam all week, with confirmation coming courtesy of Not Beyonce herself, who wrote on Twitter moments ago:
“I got a #SEXY collabo comin your way supa dupa soon!!!! OH YEAH!!! By popular demand. Its BRITNEY BITCH!!!! One of the biggest worldwide popstars! U gangsta #EPIC.”
As long time visitors know, we favour keeping it real around these sides. Hence, it’d be deceitful if we were to suggest ‘S&M’ wasn’t a great track. It is.
However, what really is Britney adding to the song beyond her name at this point? Ms. Spears’ own tracks sound ‘phoned-in’ at best these days and her videos/performances are…well…yeah.
That said, we’ll hold full judgement until hearing the track.

Beyonce’s single information:
The song is called “Girl”. The video is being directed by Francis Lawrence. He was also there. 8 or 9 choreographers contributed to the routine. Danielle Polanco and Luam were 2 of those choreographers. Beyonce was there of course going over the routine and they were figuring out which pieces of the choreography they would be showcasing in the music video. The theme of “Girl” is like a female empowerment/girl power type of song that is a definite club banger with Top 40/Worldly appeal. The beat is driven by a sample of a popular club song that a lot of you will probably recognize. There’s a breakdown in the song that is described as absolutely f****** disgustingly sick! Definitely an anthem in the style of her singing. My friend couldn’t remember exact lyrics, but “Girl…girl….girl” is repeated a lot through out the song.

She’s considered the Queen of K-pop, yes, but she’s kind of fallen off. Before Hurricane Venus (which came out last year), her last K-pop album was released in 2005. Those many years in between were spent in Japan, so she’s become huge there. In Korea, selling 100,000 copies of your record is equivalent to selling 1 million in the US, and her last album, along with a repackage, only sold 75,000 in Korea = 750k here.
