In this MTV special, entitled ‘I Am The Femme Fatale’, viewers are given a special glimpse at the development of the record which was destined to underwhelm.

Her album did not bomb. This site is so damn biased. Her album is doing fine worldwide and fetting great reviews. Yet u wanna say how she underperformed in a country that let Rihanna break concert records because she is a great performer right? Have a seat. But on to the documentary, she is so micromanaged its scary, I wish she would get new management that treats her like an adult
I do sympathize for Britney as well. She does seem so drained and over it! It sad to see her use words like perfectionist and speak of being so professional when that appears to be a joke at this stage of her career. It’s almost like she just tossed out words that Bey uses all the time to seem as dedicated to her craft. I am slighty confused because Britney does put more work in during reheasals and on her live performances she’s not fully executing the moves in her choreography. That’s pretty backwards! If Britney wants to retire and be happy raising her kids, it’s nothing wrong with that. She done more than most artist ever will. The thing is folks, is that Britney has nothing left to prove. She revolutionized pop music again after Madonna and sold over 100 million records in a 10 year span… A feat that took the likes of Cher 45 years in her career to accomplish. It’s obvious that there is something deeper happenig with Britney’s psyche. As you can see in rehearsal footage from this era (and the mannequin rehearsal from 2008) she can still deliver off stage. But it seems as though after er breakdown and the strict controls that she is under she has lost that spark and ray of confidence she once had when in front of people. Quite possibly because she saw the world judge and criticize her every move when she needed help the most. Yes, ido believe she should take a break and truly find herself again. And deal with the personal issues that are plaguing her at THIS moment in time. However, just because THIS moment isn’t happening for Britney, rest assured there is bound to be a TRUE comeback in the future. The comebacks we have seen thus far have been inorganic and totally controlled by an outside source, when BRITNEY regains control and comes back,your faces should beware. Until then, enjoy this moment you guys are having, regardless Britney will still be sipping her Starbucks, watching her album sales rise and cashing those RIAA checks.

I think she needs to take off the heals when performing live. After all, the “great” performances in the past she is measured against were mostly done without wearing heals.
