NBC’s hotly anticipated talent-search ‘The Voice’ finally launched in the US last night.
Hosted by Carson Daly, the show sees judges Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green, and Blake Shelton conduct “blind auditions” in hope of finding the next big star. The winner of the competition lands major recording contract with Universal Republic.
With That Grape Juice currently being here in New York, it’s clear that the promotional spend on the show has been epic. The question on the lips of many, though is: does it actually deliver?

I really enjoyed this show. I love the fact that the judges compete against each other, and actually have to sell themselves to the random singers. Christina and Adam run this show! Can’t wait to see the next episode!

I really liked the show. I saw the first part of it online before last night and I watched it like 10 times so when the show finally came on I didn’t really start to get into it till the part I hadn’t seen started but I liked the rest of it.

THE SHOW WORKS BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE STUPID WANNABE TALENTS LIKE IDOL. THESE ARE SOME REAL SANGERS FOR MOST PART. ANYONE OF THEM CAN BLOW THE IDOL FINALISTS WHO SUCK ASS!!!!!! KUDOS TO THE PRODUCERS FOR BRINGING THE BEST PEPO ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

…Loved the judges, loved the concept and loved the talent! I really think that the contestants that have been matched with the judges(their coaches) are a great fit so far. I’m interested in seeing how things pan out.

I don’t watch talent shows and I couldn’t watch anyways because this show comes during my telenovela “La Reina del Sur”!
But I saw that one girl singing that Duffy song that Christina wanted to work with, and OMG that girl was so pitchy it made me gringe. Was there anything actually special of the ones they’ve shown?

I LOOOOOOOOVE this show! I love the concept! It’s so different and entertaining. I loved the way they opened the show with the “Crazy” performance. But to be honest, I think Xtina kinda messed up the performance with all her usual “acrobatics.” I love Adam, I thought he did well with his verse. And Cee-Lo KILLED it! His voice is so smooth and his runs are perfectly placed.
I love that the judges are actually WORTHY of being judges. But of course, Cee-lo is my favorite judge. I think he has the most musical knowledge overall. He picked some decent artists (the chick who sung American Boy was a great choice, she had an amazing tone), although I did want him to pick Frenchie because he could really take her places with her sound. And the guy who sung Time After Time was good, too. I’m anxious to see what he brings. The young chick was VERY good, I kinda wanted her to pick Adam though.
Anyway, overall the show shits on every other talent show, IMO. I’m excited about the rest of the season.
LOVED THE DAMN SHOW. FINALLY GETTING BACK TO THE VOICE…. WHICH IS WHAT SINGING COMPETITIONS SHOULD BE ABOUT ANY WAY. TWITTER WAS ON FIRE ABOUT THE SHOW LAST NIGHT. GOOD SINGING, GOOD CHEMISTRY WIT THE JUDGES. LOVED IT.
This show was so good! Simple concept but it works. It was refreshing that there were people on there with real talent.

Agree, I saw the clip of them singing “Crazy” and Christina sounded as if struggling and in pain as she usually does.
Anyways, at least 4 performers could be more serious judges than a guy who put together boybands, a woman who was a dancer and a bass player.
a really interesting show! but after 10 years of idol, we can’t just say it sucks! come on, why is everyone attacking idol as if it had done you wrong? it is very interesting and discovers awesome talent. it’s funny how exactly yesterday idol was number 1, and now everyone is throwing shade at it because a newer show of the same genre came out..
I really enjoyed the show last night. The chemistry between the judges was awesome. Some of the performances just blew me away. I can’t wait for next weeks episode. The stage setting was reaaly nice.

The Voice brought it in the ratings!!! But what really matters is that the show is fun to watch and has some AMAZING talent!
I love this d*mn show, I mean real talent judging real talent, the contestants were awesome, and I like that they are judged on solely their voice. Love, Love, Love it.

@Lisa, that’s not the second episode. It’s a repeat. NBC is pressed, they finally got people to watch there FAIL little channel.
Seriously, even if the ratings dip, this show has at least 2 more seasons in it just because of the fact it’s on NBC.
Like I said I liked the show a lot, Even though they’re weren’t any crazy people on it, I think that’s part of why people like it, cause it’s a legit TALENT search.
A.I. relys way too much on crazy people in the audition round and by the time you get to the competition half the singers are some trash!!!
God my future husband Adam Levine could get it ANY which way he wanted! He is one sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet piece of vanilla! The show is great, MUCH better than that corny s*** American Idol. Can’t wait till the next one airs!
I didn’t have a chance to watch it last night, but I’m going to watch it later. What interested me about the show is that they only care about the person’s voice and not all of the extra stuff.

Finally a show where all the judges actually have talent. Ms. Lopez and her non-singing ass can take a backseat. I wish Steven Tyler had signed up for this…I could have done without the country singer.
Wow I love it I really do I ve all loved singing I took choir for about 3 years and sang if I remember 3 solos and I sang in talent show once the song was I turn to you by the most beauitful and most amazing vocie CHRISTINA AGUILERA I was very nerves but I did it I would be so happy if i got that chance again iam just really insecure about my seft cuz I some loss of hearing in my left ear I was told that I can’t have kids I don’t think I have very great vocie becouse of my hearing loss
