New Song: Kelly Rowland – ‘Motivation (So So Def Remix) (ft. Da Brat)

Published: Tuesday 10th May 2011 by Sam

Kelly Rowland‘s ‘Motivation’ can count a high chart position, and now a new verse from Da Brat among its mounting blessings.

The rapper, who was recently released from prison, tackles the Rico Love smash in this So So Def Remix. Having previously collaborated with Rowland on ‘Ms. Kelly’ cut ‘Gotsta Go’, Brat touts the power of her ‘cockiness’ on this unofficial, yet oh-so listenable remix.

Take a listen after the jump…

  4. 2bad2bme May 10, 2011

she will always go down in history but let’s face it her rapping is sooooo 1992

  5. the baddest May 10, 2011

  6. Part Of The Blanco Family May 10, 2011

@THEBADDEST , @2BAD2BME is her rapping so 1992, is she out of the loop .. because nicki minaj is in the game now???
i swear since nicki has come in the game. anyone who has been in the game before her are either old.washed up or out of it. nicki and her fans are so disrespectful its disgusting. eve,da bra and lil kim combined will DEMOLISH nicki minaj.get ur minds right

“AMiss: Been Done Already, Over-Hyped, Not Believable and Easily Forgettable!”

(again I’ll ask..)Why 30-something-year-old-Beyonce_X-back-up_singer Kelly Rowland, when you have the likes of (early 20-something..)Ciara/Teyanna Taylor…??

They’re both better singers, and FAR-better dancers, who both have an innate and keen sense of “stage and performance”..!! (prerequisites the 30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland, with well-over a decade, as Beyonce’s back-up..”singer” should have ALREADY had some understanding of!)

    Pop quiz….

What does 30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland, Lil’ Kim and Joan Rivers all have in common?

(hint: “it’s neither a common disregard for time, nor over-inflated Photoshopped-notions of self-imagery)

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT..!!

  10. brazio May 10, 2011

Da brat is good… love her verse

  11. The Truth May 10, 2011

Da Bratt may be considered “out of the loop” and “1992” old school because she is a true lyricist and actually does RAP her verses which is something the kiddies today are not use too lol

  12. mobwife….”no, she aint you”! May 10, 2011

No I like the original better but Da Brat did pretty well. Her rapping skills are still quite sharp!

  13. JJFAN1814 May 10, 2011

    @X, Y & Z

I’m not a fan of Ciara or Kelly, but you out of your damn mind if you think Ciara can outsing Kelly.

  14. shorty mack May 10, 2011

  17. Dave May 10, 2011

I’m tired of stans coming on here bringing up other artist, so everyone else can drag them. Leave them out of it. Ciara can sing, but not better than Kelly. Stop! Anyway, I love the remix.

  23. Ghetto Fab May 10, 2011

Death @ someone thinking Cedric could sing better than Miss Rowland. On what planet? Delusional much? Kelly is snatching Cedric’s wig right now.

  24. the baddest May 10, 2011

i never said any thing about nicki minaj but lets clear this up…da brat can rap but her style is played out i like for people to reinvent themselves like all the greats did but still stay tru to them…michael jackson did lil kim did beyonce did and the list goes on im not hating on her i just think she still sounds out dated…

  25. A May 10, 2011

another “remix” that is just the same song with only one new part from a rapper.

  39. Myrl22 May 11, 2011

Get it Kelly and DA BRAT… I always thought “Gotsta Go” Feat DA Brat is one of Kelly Rowland greatest record that has never been released. Glad to see the back at it again. I hope Gosta Go make the cut because it was a great song even though its really old. #TeamKelly all day.

  40. B4REAL02 May 11, 2011

I’m @ work and can’t listen to the song right now but I have to comment on something someone said earlier about Ciara and Teyanna Taylor being able to sing and dance better than Kelly………….LMAO Are you F*%kin serious?!?!? Neither one of them can sing better than Kelly….Now CiCi may be a better dancer but singing, REALLY?!?!? #THATSASSCRACK.COM#
