Being that she doesn’t do much on stage but stand there or walk back and forth, It never made since that she couldn’t hit the notes before. She really must have been working on those vocals. She looked pretty, which is her main ‘talent’. Her makeup was on point & I guess I have just gotten used to that Ronald McDonald wig by now. It looked like she combed it a bit *shrugs*

As popular as she is no one ever talks about how talented she is.. she just has fun catchy songs.. gaga and beyonce get all the credit for talent etc… I don’t think one musical icon has ever said they admired rihanna etc… I guess she’s just a popstar with no substance.. I like her tho. I don’t expect anything from her.. no one does.. maybe some Catchy songs lol.. thats Wat keeps her alive and her fashion stylelist..

I’m sorry! she is singing over a track, with backup singers to loud music in the back. This is not talent and her doing the new walking back and forth still is not good at all. Just watched some of that concert. I’m always shocked, no matter how many times I see it, at how poorly she sings, dances and entertains. No matter what kind of training, you can’t buy natural, raw talent. Releasing this won’t help ticket sales in the U.S.

I think a lot of Rihanna fans/stans…feel Rihanna too pretty and too special to critique, which has brought on a lot of the harsh and sometimes unnecessary criticisms of her; (to which she has responded with anger, vulgarity and pure shock value)
However, you all can’t possibly be serious when you say: she’s “talented.”
I am baffled by the amount of people who are in blatant denial of this topic; that is whether or not this girl deserves any credit as a talented singer, which she is NOT. You people are on here making false claims, and excuses for her lack luster performances. It amazes me…it really does.
The question isn’t based on popularity, influence, fashion sense or relevance it is whether or not she is talented. And aside from her beauty and so-called fashion sense, and well developed celebrity prowess, she is not musically or vocally talented. She is no Adele, or Lady gaga, Beyonce, Alicia Keyes, Christina, Britney Spears, etc. Rihanna is likeable, a household name to which she should give much of that notoriety to numerous publicity stunts & trickery.
At the end of the day, when stripped of the glitz, glamour, and controversy that has held Rihanna’s (very young) career afloat, you have nothing but a girl, with pretty eyes, trying to sing. She has earned her title as a pop star & she is nothing more than that.

@Amazing Lee, let me say that I have loved Rhiannas music (most of it)past and present, now this is in no way a diss toward Beyonce, but I loved her music and her image and I also bought and downloaded most of her music, after dangerously in love I didn’t connect with her music anymore, maybe about 2 songs tops per album as of lately. Now just because we don’t share the same taste in music makes neither of our points any more valid than the other. Rhianna doesn’t have this amazing voice and in my opinion neither is Beyonce but they are both queen of their sound/image. There are no comparisons to be made between the two, they are in different lanes. I understand this unlike most of you. Yes when people are repetitively throwing shade at someone to uplift their idol, it’s repulsive in the eyes of the onlookers who observe this and in return u despise the barbarians that create this mess. U don’t have to agree with me because it doesn’t matter. Beyonce will still be Beyonce with a hit or not. What U talking bout?? Mini-concert was amazeballs, great vocals all the way through – she has improved immensely. No hesitation on the high notes, same with the low ones. Melisma at all the right points, and knows how to get the crowd going. Stellar.
