With the release of his fifth studio album, King of Hearts, only a week off, more material from Lloyd’s upcoming project is begging to surface on the internet. Today, fans of the R&B singer, were blessed with ‘Dedication to My Ex (Miss That)’, which features hip hop heavy weight Lil Wayne and the reclusive icon Andre 3000.

The message may be vulgar, yet it’s composed cleverly enough; clearly intended as the urban cousin of Cee-Lo Green’s breakout hit ‘F*ck You’. The celebratory background band, and chorus of men lay a perfect template for Lloyd’s best MJ-inspired performance. While Wayne plays narrator, Andre 3000 delivers a brief, yet air tight verse, over blaring horns and soul claps. Though, the inner feminist in some might not like it’s content, sonically, the track is a winner. Lloyd’s King of Hearts, out July 5, is shaping up to be a solid R&B effort.

i never saw lloyd as much of a singer or a talented vocalist but i will say he pushed his vocals on this song….needs alot of editing before getting on the radio tho…
